They made repairs on my roof for $4100 to repair the leaks near the chimney and replace the wood damage. A month later I started to notice rain coming in again from the same places. Joe came out and said someone would come out to make the necessary repairs then apparently blocked my number. No one has come to repair the roof and his phone appears to be shut off for the past 2 weeks.
All voicemails left have gone unanswered and I was only able to get a hold of him by having someone else call him from a different number. This is completely unprofessional and dishonest to say the least. I also had the same experience with Joe when he made the initial repairs. He would tell my realtor the work was completed but upon visual inspection there was still obvious damage that wasn't repaired. Getting a hold of him at that time was a nightmare as well and he almost delayed my closing. Steer clear of Whatley and save yourself the headache. They will lie about the work they have done and when they did it.

Whatley Roofing is an excellent, honest roofing contractor that delivers a high quality product on time and as promised. Joe Whatley is a man of his word who stands behind his work. He employs long-time crews with excellent technical and people skills. Whatley Roofing has done 5 homes for me and I am proudly recommend him to anyone.

They came out to inspect a roof and said that there was only 2 years left on the roof. It is a 40 year roof that is 10 years old. They said it is an 18 year old 30 year roof. If that is the case why wouldn't they help us get credit for the 12 years left on the warranty? Their estimate was expensive and they want to just put a new roof over the one they say is deteriorated and totally ruined, from what they say.
They said that it needed to be done because insurance wouldn't insure it. We had a public licensed insurance adjuster by the state of texas check the roof. He gave written proof that the roof is about 10 years old and there are many years of life left on the roof. Also, that is a fully insurance roof. Whatley knew that that our insurance company would deny any claim, that's why they stated "Roof should be replaced for insurance and life" They were dishonest and just wanted put a roof on over the one they said was so bad.

This is a follow-up review on Whatley Roofing. Three years ago, I had my 2nd roof replaced with Whatley Roofing. With the recent heavy rains, I started getting leaking in my A/C closet from the furnace vent. I called Joe Whatley to have them come out and take a look. Joe came out in a couple of days and inspected the roof. He resealed a couple places on the roof, including the furnace vent which could have been moved from when the replaced the furnace late last year.
He said the roof looks to be in good shape and there was no charge for the reseal. A couple days later he called and followed up to see if there are anymore issues. I have simply had great service with Whatley and will continue to use them as my roofing company as a result.

I had a 2nd roof replacement done in 2016 following a major round of hail storms. This year I have been doing interior rennovations on my home and found a roof leak from the vent from my gas heater in my AC closet. I asked them to come out to inspect the roof and do any repairs. I was expecting a repair bill, but they came out within a couple of days and fixed the leaking vent for free. No leaks from this latest round of string storms. Very happy with the service I have received from Whatley.

They do NOT honor their lifetime warranty. My elderly parents had their roof replaced by this company. I am now the caretaker of their home. I contacted Whatley Roofing to evaluate the damage caused by the recent storms. They answered my first call, probably because they did not recognize my number and thought I was a new customer. When they found out that I called to implement the lifetime warranty, they said they'd come out the following week.
They no-showed. When I called for a follow up to their no-show, there was no response. And several attempts thereafter for 5 straight months, they still have yet to return my call and reply to my messages. I believe they screen their calls. I am currently seeking legal action. How dare they take advantage of seniors like this?! My parents are in distress in their fragile age because they feel cheated.
And now that I'm reading reviews on this company, my parents will also join in with the others who are reporting this company to the BBB. They are unprofessional cheats with poor business ethics! Several opportunities were offered to resolve this issue; but after half a year of no response, it's clear how they run their business. At least my parents have me to manage these kind of issues for them. I hate to think of other senior citizens this company has taken advantage of! Just sick!

This company has the worse customer service. They came to replace our roof but in the process they damaged our patio door and all the trimming and moldings around our chimney. I have called and spoken with the owner of the company and he has promised me to come fixed the damages 3 months ago. To this day and 9 phone calls later no one has shown up to fix the problem. Additionally I tried another attempt to call and when I asked for the manger/owner they simply hung up on me. These people need to get it through their thick skull.customer service is EVERYTHING!

They did a roof job for my widow mother that takes care of her elderly mother and works full time after her house was hit by the tornado in garland. There was a ton of work that they did not even return to finish after being paid by the insurance company. They did the same thing to my mother two neighbors. They sub contract all the work out and will not even return your call after getting paid.

Horrible customer service. Do not use this company. First they came out to fix our roof. They were very responsive before getting paid. Unfortunately after we noticed a leak in the roof, we called them to come out and repair it but they didn't because the roof continues to leak. We currently have found another problem with the roof and now they will not return any of our phone calls.
We have left multiple messages for Joe Whatley himself that all go ignored. We have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Save yourself the hassle and the headache. Go with a more honest and professional company.

Check out reviews of Whatley Roofing on any site such as BBB, Nextdoor or Angieslist. The only review on Google is from a non-customer perpetrating on competition. This company has performed work in my neighborhood for years and we all are very impressed with the level of attention received from not just the personnel but from the owners as well. They actually supervise each installation. And came highly recommended by my realtor 11 years ago when we closed on our home. Jason Cox
