For over twenty five years Palos has left his indelible, anonymous mark on dozens icons throughout the city, re-creating and restoring precious architectural and sculptural details that, without his unusual skills, would have long ago fallen into disrepair. The Neiman Marcus rotunda is an accurate reconstruction of the original ornamental details of the City of Paris store on Union Street.

I attended my first workshop with Manuel 6 years ago and fell in love with sculpting. Manuel is such an enthusiastic instructor with a real passion for sharing his knowledge and love of this art form--it's contagious! Now six years later, I'm still a regular attendee and have gone to quite a few of his sculpture retreats in Puerto Vallarta. For anyone mildly curious to try stone carving, this is the place!

I have know and worked with Manuel Palos for 30 years. He is my go-to guy when I need to achieve an architectural feature that can save installation costs, have improved performance characteristics, and still appear to be identical to the original. Manuel and I have found ways to create fiberglass chimney pots that look like they are carved stone, fiberglass domes ceilings that appear to be plaster, and complicated cornices that appear to be wood.
He is an amazingly creative artist, always interested in new ways to apply his talents. As a superintendent on super high-end custom residential projects, Manuel is an ace up my sleeve when I need a novel solution to an architectural detail. A very special resource! You have to visit his studio to appreciate all that he is capable of.
