Have been trying to find a local glass place to replace a antique mirror with a very unusual shape. SF silver G&M was just the spot! They took on my project for a very fair price! Will add pics when complete! Highly recommend for all your glass and mirror needs

I had a very good experience with these folks despite some difficult circumstances, namely the holiday approaching, the glaziers' truck getting in an accident, and my broken window not being a straightforward job. Still, they got to me Xmas eve day and figured out a great workaround for my tricky window. Nice to know there's such a wonderful small business like this nearby.

Less than an hour turn around for two custom cur mirrors. Really got me out of a schedule jam. Always answer their phone too, which is much appreciated. Thanks

Popped in for a custom cut of glass and they were very helpful and answered all of my questions. Picked up my glass today and am very happy with the way it turned out

You are the best in San Francisco. Always bent backwards for your clients. I have been in this neighborhood for over 20 years, each and every time when we have glass needs, you always are there for us. Wiley is the best.very lucky to have an honest business in our neighborhood. Thank YOU!

Neat little shop on Bush Street at Pierce streets. Excellent customer service. They can do small and large jobs. It is the place to go in the neighborhood.

Absolutely insane markup on cuts of glass.wanted 2-4x the price of other local shops (i.e, Progress glass), and weren't even cutting it in house, would have to order out and take several days to come in. Person on the phone that gave me the quote was nice and professional, but the price was way too much to swallow out of sympathy.

Worst glass shop ever! Don't use them. They changed the day of the appointment. Changed the time of the appointment twice that morning before showing up in the afternoon. Lied to the unit manager and the tenant as to why they were late. Claimed they were onsite for three hours when they were only there 63 minutes. Claimed they performed more work than they did. -Work which was also unnecessary. Tried to charge more than double what they originally quoted. Worst company ever. Scam artists. Do Not Hire Them! No stars earned although I am required to select 'a star' in order to post this review.

I can't believe a business like this can stay in operation. It took over a month to add 4 screens to an 1 bedroom apartment unit. They simply don't show up to appointments. There was no communication, despite the job being rescheduled over 6 times, and each reschedule required me calling in to ask why the appointment was a no-show. No one ever called me to give up an update, to explain why no one was showing up to appointments, and to find out why the experience was so delayed, I had to call 3 times (ending each conversation with a guarantee they'd get back to me, but never did). "Rosa" yelled at the tenant in this unit when she called for a status update and although I didn't experience any yelling, she had no interest in listening to what was going on, answering questions, or hearing why I was frustrated with the situation as she frequently cut me off, raised her voice while doing so, was generally dismissive and would not direct me to a manager. We will never use this business again and best of luck to anyone else who attempts to contract their services.

If I could give zero stars I would. I never write reviews but was compelled to share the experience. NO ONE should ever use them. Utterly terrible. Never returned calls when they were supposed to. Missed numerous appointments (again with no call). The man answering the phone was clueless and couldn't care less. I took my business elsewhere.

I had such an unnecessarily frustrating experience with the woman who responds to the phone at this company. I called requesting information on replacing mirrors, and she couldn't give me information so offered to take my number and call back. She didn't ever called back so I called again after a few days and repeated the process. I waited another three days then called again, and she again suggested I call later.

The fourth time I called and rather than ask for pricing simply decided to set up an appointment and pay whatever they wanted just to get it done - but we were disconnected. She was rude when I called back, shouted that she couldn't hear me, shouted when I tried to ask if she could hear me now - ug - it was ridiculous. I don't think she wants business. I am going elsewhere - I don't need to be yelled at that much.

I understand that "we will get back to you in a day" translates into 2 maybe 3 days but we have been ghosted. Our request was small. We just needed a piece of tempered glass about 18"by 60" and probably mounting hardware. No need for an "in home consult" although we are across the street. It was a simple, straight forward request, one that Ace near Costco gave us in a few hours. If you don't need our little job, turn us down. Don't say you will call and then don't. We have moved on. Apparently so did they, when they ghosted us.

Practically same day service and the prices are very reasonable! Don't be put off by Rosa- she sounds mean and rude over the phone. But don't react. She's actually a very nice person!

My experience at SF Silver Glass & Mirror was all excellent. I have had 3 different experiences with them and they were all 100%. I bought a new glass shower door w/ hardware. The product was delivered on time and installed perfectly by a very polite and tidy crew of two men. I also purchased two full length mirrors. These were also delivered on time and installed perfectly by the same installation team. Also, the quality of the mirrors and the finishing of the edges was very nice.

My final purchase was glass for new kitchen cabinet doors. These pieces also arrived on time and were picked up by me. The store is a bit old world and the owner must have been there for many decades. Expect your experience to be slightly different than in a bigger or more modern store. However, there aren't many stores that make it a point to show their gratitude for a customer's patronage as I felt here at SF Silver Glass & Mirror.

They replaced the window, and they did an awful job. The window started to rattle. I called them many times, but they never called me back. I finally made an appointment for them to come back. They were late. The person that came talked down to me. I was told they would call me and let me know. Then I did not hear from them. I called, and the woman yelled at me on the phone.

She was aggressive and hostile. She said, "I did not know how to use the window". I have lived there close to 20 years and didn't have any problems until they worked on the window. As others have mentioned, they are unprofessional and unethical.

This small glass company is the best! I wanted to replace a couple of panes on my french doors and Rosie talked me through it, her son cut the glass and finished the edges so I would't cut my fingers and wrapped the glass carefully. They were so nice and fun and super reasonable. The place is so quirky like a movie set. So nice to see small family businesses like this still making it in The City.

Friendly, but incompetent staff. I'm mystified how businesses like this stay afloat in SF. Save your time and money: go elsewhere! I ordered a custom arched mirror and two glass shelves. Upon receiving the quote, I reduced the order to only one shelf. I was told it would take two weeks. After no word for a month, I called. "One more week, " I was told.

After 6 (total) weeks of no word, I called again. It was finally ready. When I went in to pick up the mirror, I was told an employee broke it. I waited another month. Still no word. I called again, "everything is ready". I then picked paid for TWO shelves and the mirror (not wanting to quibble over the shelf misunderstanding). But when I got home I quickly realized the mirror didn't fit the template I'd provided. Rosa, the owner, was very apologetic on the phone and insisted an employee would come by to personally measure my space a few days later.

But when the appointed day arrived, no one called or showed. She was away and her employee knew nothing about my situation. I blew up at him and wrote a follow up email chronicling the delays and dissatisfaction. That was nearly three weeks ago: still no response. I'm extremely busy with work earning money to pay for mirrors I can't use.

In the end, I decided to just eat the loss. Any fix at this point will be too protracted and likely inadequate. This was a $700 waste of money and an even bigger waste of time. GO ELSEWHERE.

Needed to get a hole cut into mirror that we had, talked with lady about it being picked up that afternoon. They did not show up nor did they call, talked with them and they then raised the agreed price from $275 to $300 and moved pick up to 930am the next day. The next day came and they did not show up at agreed time, after a couple phone calls they finally showed up an hour and a half late. After taking the mirror to their shop they then refused to make the cut and the agreed upon installation when delivered on site. Would not suggest or refer to use.

I hate to write a bad review but I dropped off a frame to have a mirror fitted. They are very disorganized. Couldn't find my order after leaving it with them for a month. Finally, the frame was given back to me cracked and they claimed it was that way when I dropped it off. Which it was not. The antique finish that I requested was also not applied. It was a mild antique instead of a more robust antique. The total cost $300 for something that is basically not at all what I wanted.

I needed a custom mirror in my bathroom and decided to check them out. And boy am I glad I did! I was immediately helped and within the same week had them in my home installing my magnificent mirror. The price, the service and supporting a neighborhood business is well worth it. I will be back - thank you.

I went in to have a small oval mirror cut, based on a pattern I gave them. How could that go wrong? Well, they found a way. And then just to surprise me they found one or two more ways. I mean, in SF it's nice that there *are* glass shops, but I'd love one that can actually do the job correctly, have it done on time, not blame me when they mess up, and not proceed to overcharge me. I'll go back again for convenience sake, but I'm going to micromanage the crap out of them next time.

What an attitude from the woman at this place. I have never purchased glass before. I have a 8 x 31 glass shelf over my bathtub that is old and grimy so I want to replace it. I told the woman Ive never done this type of thing so Im not sure how the process goes. She asked what type of glass is it? I said Im not sure. Then she barked at me and said "well what is it being used for?" Taken off guard I responded "as a shelf in the bathroom over my bathtub." Then she mumbled something maybe the type of glass.

Then she asked, "what is the size?" I said, "8 x 31 inches." She said, "are you sure?" I said, "Am I sure? The last time I measured it was 8 x 31 inches." She then barked again, what's your name, I told her. She understood it wrong and I repeated it. She didn't seem to understand so I spelled my three letter name to her. Then I heard her taking down my phone number as she probably read it off the caller id.

She then said, "so what do you want to buy." Once again I told her "a glass shelf for over my bathtub." She then said, "oh there is so much noise where you are. Im going to have to call you back!" And she hung up! Terrible service. She never called back. Not that I was interested to buy anything at that point anyway. Directly after I called Home Depot and found what I needed.

My first experience here about a year ago was pretty good. However, on Monday I called to get a price and availability for the wavy style old glass. Rosa quoted me $330 and next day availability. Tuesday I called again and another employee assured me I could have it the same day. I asked 3 times, telling him of my conversation the previous day, and he assured me I could get it the same day. Wednesday I brought the window in (which is large and cannot be out overnight) and was told by Rosa not only do they not have it in stock it's now over $500 and will take a week to get. I need it by Friday. Never again.

Unreal service and extremely friendly. I have a large wall mirror that needed the mirror replaced. My car is too small to transport the frame so they picked it up and delivered it back to me once the mirror was replaced. They were so fast, I had the mirror back to me in a day. I am very pleased with the quality of work. Rosa is incredibly accommodating and professional. I would highly recommend.

Super friendly family shop. They were transparent about pricing and helped walk me through the different options I had. I can't speak to timing because luckily they had a leftover from another project that was exactly what I needed, so I was able to walk out 10 minutes later with a lovely piece of glass for a tabletop. I'm no expert or contractor so it was just lovely to be treated well and taken such good care of!

It is as good as it gets! I needed a frameless shower glass for my new remodeled bathroom, found this place on Yelp, called for the estimate at lunch time, they came out for measurements the same afternoon. Price was reasonable, so we wend ahead with the job. They informed me that glass will take about 5 business days to produce. Yesterday morning I've got a call that they are ready to install, Gabriel came out the same afternoon and voila!

I have my shower glass beautifully installed within a week! Last time I had the same job done for the upstairs bathroom couple of years ago, it took 3 weeks. Gabriel and Rosa are great! Thank you very much for the great job done! Will recommend this place to my friends from now on.

We hired SF Silver Glass & Mirror to install frameless shower glass for us. The installation actually looks really good, so I want to throw that out there. If you are just looking for someone who does good work and don't care about service or reliability at all, then you still should consider them. If you care about service and reliability though, maybe not so much.

It took them two trips to measure the space: first before the quote, then after the work was awarded. The glass came late, but they didn't tell us until after we were expecting it. Then they scheduled a day to install it, and I stayed home from work, and then when I called because they hadn't shown up they told me sorry, they didn't get the glass, they'll have to install it later.

They did show up the 2nd time. I had actually hired them to also realign and seal the glass in a second shower as well. They installed the first shower fine, but then when trying to realign the 2nd shower, they actually made it worse. I told Rosa by email to make sure it was documented and she ignored it. A few days later I got a hold of her by phone and she said she would send someone out.

That time, they fixed it, but they forgot the strike for the bottom of the door and said they would have to come back another time. They said they would be back at 8:30am today, this Friday. At 9am I spoke to someone in the office who said no one was around and he will call me when someone arrives. I have now had to stay home all or part of some day from work 6 times and I'm not even sure they will show up to finally finish this job.
