Contractor Home Depot uses apparently to install flooring and kitchen backsplash. I needed a kitchen backsplash. Bought materials and labor upfront. They called me to schedule my project. Had to wait 3 weeks. No problem. Day before project I get a text that they'll be there between 2-4pm the day of. Called at 3:33pm on scheduled day to see if they were on their way or nearby.

Guy who answers says 'Oh we have a problem. Can I call you back?' I said sure. 20 seconds later a lady says they had to reschedule. She asked if they could come the next day and I said no I'll be busy. Wanted to schedule for another 3 weeks. After taking a Chance on them after seeing 2 stars I will never make the same mistake again. I hope you don't make the same mistake either. To the company, hire a new receptionist who is rude as hell. Saying 'we are human' to me.no sweetie you are a business and I don't want to do business with you.

Raising up from 1-star because the vast majority of our vinyl flooring installation looks fantastic. Unfortunately, in one of the rooms, they laid the planks the wrong direction and it doesn't match the rest of the installs. Initially, their customer service was responsive. Now, two months later, the issue still isn't corrected and we're going to be forced to call Home Depot to get involved.

I give some credit to the person that's been corresponding with me. It appears she's been trying to help but the ownership either can't or won't stand behind their work. Don't let Home Depot set you up with this company. If anything goes wrong you'll be left without resolution. Install it yourself or find another contractor. 4/10/21 UPDATE: They've finally worked out the fix, 6 months later. Lori did a really nice job staying on it but overall, the 2-star experience has to stick.

Was super nervous after seeing all the negative reviews after purchasing the carpet from Home Depot but the 2 men that installed the carpet were very prompt, professional, and installed quick without any issues.

Thanksgiving Nightmare! I ordered my laminate flooring in the beginning of August 2021 and was informed that the soonest that GS flooring could install would be Monday, November 22nd 2021. I was patient because I knew that the pandemic has affected the workforce. Materials were delivered an stored in my home 2 months before install date which meant that my home was in a big mess.

I received a call on the Friday before install date thinking that they were calling me to confirm for Monday. GS informed me that the person that my project was assigned to was not longer with their company and that they needed to reschedule my install. I informed them that this was not acceptable as I had taken vacation for the install. I had the materials all over my home and it was Thanksgiving week and I was hosting dinner.

I also had moved furniture, clothing and electronic and that it would be very inconvenient for them not to proceed. They informed me that they would keep me on the list just incase someone else had cancelled and they could squeeze me in after waiting for 3 months. Day of install, GS flooring called me to say that there was a cancellation and that a technician would be there to install my flooring.

I asked how many technicians would be coming because it was a large job. GS said the he was working by himself. When the technician arrived, saw the furniture that needed to be move, he became overwhelmed because I had a canopy on my bed. Home Depo had taken photographs when the measurements were done and GS had those photos. They were well aware that this was NOT a one man job!

The installer cut my carpet and discovered that the flooring underneath the carpet was a type of peel and stick flooring and said that they could not move forward with the install. Needless to say, I was furious, disappointment and overwhelmed. Not only did I not have my flooring installed but I also was stuck with a house full of flooring materials.

My house was in disarray, my carpet that was cut is now unsafe as I keep tripping over the detached portion that GS disturbed and I was left with no future install date. Oh, this was Monday and I have company coming on Thursday. GS flooring had over 3 months to get my install right instead of waiting until the last minute to decide that they could not handle the job. I went into Home Depot, informed them that I wanted to cancel my order and to please come and pick up their flooring. I'll NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

I was leary of using Home Depot after I read the reviews as well.but I remembered GS did my mother's house 3 years ago and they did a good job, so I decided to go thru with the installation. I was so glad I did! The job went smooth, quick and clean. Very professional and it looked great afterwards! Keep in mind, it takes a couple weeks to get stairs done from your original appointment. they measure the stairs first and then come back with it precut ready to go. DONT GO BY THE OLD REVIEWS.you won't be disappointed! Great Job!

I ordered vinyl plank flooring through Home Depot and GS Flooring was the contracted installer. There was an issue with the original material and GS Flooring worked with me the entire time and got the issue resolved. I worked with Laurie who was great and very attentive throughout the whole time. The installers did a great job. I would recommend GS Flooring and would use them again in the future.

Bought Home Depot Carpet and had GS Flooring install it. My experience with customer service at GS was great. Everyone was help full and great. However at the install GS Flooring did not get all the carpet cause Home Depot didnt give them the proper measurements. So they were short. They were able to finish the job 3 weeks later. Reason for 1 less star is cause I kept having to call to set up a time since their text service didnt work.

I ordered my carpet through Home Depot and G S Floor Designs installed it. They rescheduled to an earlier day, which worked great for me, came on time and were done quickly. They cleaned up the area and my basement carpeting looks fantastic!

We ordered Lifeproof flooring from Home Depot for the majority of our first floor and GS was our installer. I have to admit I was nervous after looking at these reviews, but I could not be happier with the results. The crew was great, extremely quick, polite, and they did a fantastic job. I would easily have them do work again and recommend them to all.

I live in Naperville and ordered 1200 sq. ft of carpeting for my second floor from Home Depot. The offer included free installation. The GS folks showed up on time and got right to work. Nine hours later, I had an excellent install of carpeting. The GS folks moved furniture, removed my old carpet and did an expert install. Also, the lead installer suggested a stair install that really defined each stair. My prior two carpet installations did the easier install without definition. The stair install looks much better. Very pleased with the GS install.

The actual instillation was adequate except that they did not remove all the old carpet, they did not carpet the front hall closet, and after three weeks we have gotten no response to our repeated requests to fix the problem. OK. I threatened a law suit and they took care of everything within three days.

This is the worst Company in Kansas City. HomeDepo uses them as their contractor. We had three consecutive issues with this horrible company. First they measured our carpet installation wrong. Resulting in only half of the stairs being done. The carpet was remeasured and we were told it would be rushed only to take an additional 2 1/2 half to three weeks before the install.

Our on going issue with this same company on the same PO as the carpet is their failure to communicate with their customers. OR they ability to lie! On October 3 and 4 we were scheduled to have our kitchen backsplash replace. After they never showed up I called Home Depot and learned that supposedly they called and left messages at two different numbers.

After much discussion the dates were rescheduled for October 27 and 28th. mind you I had picked up all materials from holding the poll before they would even agree to schedule an appointment. On Monday, October 27 at 8 o'clock I had my wife called them to verify installation. We were informed that we were contacted on October 24 stating they delayed our insulation by one day.

All lies. My wife asked them isn't it their policy to leave messages. They couldn't or would give a straight answer. Being a Sprint business customer we gave Sprint business center their number to collaborate their story only to learn that neither my phone nor my wife's received an incoming call from said number. Then they lied and stated that they talk to our daughter.

Our daughter doesn't have access to our cell phones. as with all customers the cell phone stays with the person who owns it. Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad other than the fact that on October 17 my wife talked to Lisa at 816556 who scheduled us for this two day install October 27 and 28th. We called this morning October 28 at 8:05 AM and talk to Chuck White who identified himself sat he manage.

This is strike three. No resolution could be reached. I went to Home depot and had my account credited for the labor charged by the worst Company in Kansas City Hometown Painting and Flooring. This is the worst possible company you can do business with. If you hear the name Hometown Painting & Flooring run!
