Alaskan Copper Works was founded as a marine copper-smithing company in 1913. Its major activities for the Pacific Northwest shipbuilding industry were forming and brazing piping, kettles, coils and other products made from copper, brass and bronze. Beginning in the 1920's, many of the area's growing process industries, such as pulp and paper, which had relied on wood stave and cast iron as corrosion-resistant materials for their tanks and piping, welcomed the development of a new weldable alloy, silicon bronze.

Alaskan Copper & Brass Company is a metal service center (distributor) for corrosion-resistant alloys in the forms of coil, sheet, plate, pipe, tube, fittings, flanges, rod, bar, angle, channel and custom extrusions. Please contact Alaskan Copper & Brass Company at our branch locations listed below for inquiries regarding corrosion-resistant mill products made of aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, copper-nickel and stainless steel.
Precision shearing from light gauge up to 3/8 thick copper, stainless steel and aluminum alloy material. Sheet and plate can be sheared up to 20 foot lengths using an adjustable backgauge. Automatic gas tungsten-arc and plasma welding processes to achieve wider and /or longer finished sizes from stock material.
UNS S17400 - Stainless Steel Type 630, commonly called 17-4, is a martensitic, precipitation hardening stainless steel. A low temperature heat treatment can provide unusually high strength and hardness, with corrosion-resistance similar to that of Type 304 austenitic stainless steel. UNS S30300 - Stainless Steel Type 303 is a fully resulfurized free-machining austenitic stainless steel melted and processed to maximize machinability. It should be considered where extensive machining is required and some sacrifice in corrosion-resistance compared to Type 304 can be tolerated.
C23000 - (Red Brass, 85%) 23000 Brass is commonly used for pipe and pipe nipples. Excellent cold working properties; common fabrication processes include forming and bending, threading and knurling. Red Brass is the best quality pipe for general plumbing purposes. 23000 Brass has high corrosion-resistance to water.

These other reviews are a bit unfair, considering Alaskan is a wholesale operation, not retail. These reviewers have never actually gotten to experience the service Alaskan provides. We have been working well with them for years. Their pricing has been better than anybody else around for copper products, and if you have a material you cannot find, they find it for you and don't gouge you in the process.
I have nothing bad to say about them. They always comunicate well and deliver on-time. Please disregard those other reviews since they weren't even part of a market Alaskan serves.
