Worst experience. Showroom is actually nice and lots of options but they ended up giving our slab to someone else. We purchased a slab in March 2022 in advance of a remodel. Our contractor's fabricator went to pick it up today and was told it was sold to someone else. Tried calling their contact number but it goes to a call center where nobody knows how to help and just regurgitates a script.
Imagine needing your material which you paid for and secured well in advance only to be told, woops, it went to someone else. Horrible customer service options and overall bad management. Never again going to MSI.

I've been meaning to write this review for months! My friend and I came here on a whim after being disappointed by the selection of slabs at another stone store in Dublin. Well, MSI did not disappoint! Their customer service was just as good as the other place but MSI has them beat on selection. And, they have the added bonus of having samples available to take home. I purchased three sexy slabs of Glacier Wave here for my countertops and they look gorgeous in my new home.

I love the selection of materials (tile. Countertops stone, etc). However, there seems to be this culture that when a white customer comes in, the ladies at the reception go above ans beyond to show them the store even where the bathroom are. However, I signed in no one offered to help. I waited patiently even when they were not helping anyone. But since they were not going to offer to help I asked for help. However one young receptionist was super rude when I asked her for the price of a slab and refused to help. Not coming here again.

We needed to re-install our sink in a new countertop, which meant we needed a new cutout template (since it wasn't just a simple square). It was very challenging to cut through the call center brush-offs to reach folks at the local branch, but once we did, wow! They were super helpful and went above and beyond to get us what we needed to do this job right. Knowledgeable staff and superior service - thank you!

This whole experience was everything we weren't expecting - it was Awesome! We went on a Saturday - they were packed! We thought - "oh no - here we go - this is going to take forever" No such thing. We checked in - it is a short process and then we were shown to the back room. We knew the material we wanted so it was just a matter of a selection. We found something quickly and went into the Customer Service office.
A gentleman helped us and even took us out to see a slab of what we chose! We were done with that entire process in less than 30 minutes! I highly recommend this place. Not only do they have the entire process completely synchronized, their selection is huge! We spent another 20 minutes looking at backsplash and actually think we found that there as well! Well worth the time to check this place out.

MSI Hayward has got a really great selection of products, and their showroom and slabyard are really well laid out. Note that the entrance is not on the Costco side of the building, so be sure to park on the other (left) side of the building. Yesenia has been a fantastic partner as we've worked with MSI over the last several months. After our quartzite slab unfortunately arrived at the fabricator damaged, she reached out to us proactively with a backup solution and photos. (We were told quartzite is super delicate, and hard to guarantee it stays in good condition with all the moving and shifting.) Fortunately, we were able to assure the fabricator had a quality slab of the selection we wanted without delaying our construction project further. Thanks for your help, Yesenia!

Definitely a premium level store, I found them after I saw a slab of quartz we really liked at a local countertop store. I googled the name of the quartz and the MSI showroom popped up. MSI does not sell direct to consumer, they have great customer service without pressuring you to buy anything. So you can browse around without anyone pestering you or trying to sell you on something, but you will need to flag a person working there if you have questions.
They give good general advice on their products and also some design recommendations. They don't give any advice on installs, etc., but will refer you to your contractor. I was surprised at how large the showroom was and the selection of products. I was looking specifically for quartz countertops but they had a lot of other products as well. There showroom is well organized and not cluttered, viewing countertop slaps was very easy. Finding samples of slaps was not as easy but was not really hard either.

MSI does have an amazing selection of tile, countertop, flooring and products for remodeling but their onsite customer service is virtually non-existent! I along with several other shoppers waited for their CS staff to approach us and they either didn't acknowledge us or were too busy talking to each other about non-business related things. My recommendations to the management, either you make getting samples and addressing questions more self-service, such as a digital kiosk, or better train your CS staff to be more attentive. I was finally helped by one of the managers who ordered my samples that weren't available at the store.

One more time reviewing MSI. We kept in touch for another slab availability, and ended up locking in the slab we love! Vlada again proved excellent in customer service especially for such picky customers like us. The entire warehouse, starting from aesthetics, cleanliness, display, safety, team effort to customer service is run well! High marks! Other companies should follow their example. Thank you!

I visited to select a slab of Granite for my kitchen remodel. Perla assisted me throughout the entire process. She was extremely helpful in explaining differences in materials. She gave recommendations when asked. She also thanked us for our patience. The showrooms can be very busy but MSI always puts client safety first. Thank you! Awesome experience.

Appreciated "clearance" for covid upon entry, free small stone samples to bring home, offer to ship to me samples that were not available, and required use of hard hats when in industrial area. Selections are largest I've found anywhere in the Chicago area for countertop slaps. Area showcasing tile for floors and backsplashes is huge, well lit with names of tiles clearly shown, and the large selection is displayed under bright lites and on walls (hung vertically), in color groups for mixing and matching.
Help was available if/when I had questions. They are readily available for questions and clearly explain the process of obtaining estimates from your contractor/fabricator; consumers cannot purchase directly from MSI. All areas are bright, clean, and organized. I will definitely visit again to narrow down my choices for a bath and kitchen remodel.

We got Quartz counter tops through MSI two years ago and already the edges are all worn down and one is even cracked after TWO years. I called MSI and because our contractor ordered it for us MSI will not come out and look at or even fix the counter tops. MSI told me they will only deal with the contractor and the contractor won't return my calls.
We spent over $5,000 on the Calacatta Venato Quartz counter tops at MSI and now they won't even repair or replace this terrible product. Don't waste your time or money purchasing their awful quartz.

Still my favorite place to find beautiful granite and marble. They have so many selections and no pressure. Some of their pieces are literally works of art! Plan to take your time as if you were going to a gallery. Don't settle for something because of the price, fall in love with the stone because you will look at it every day for the foreseeable future. That in itself is worth a few extra dollars if there is a difference.

My husband and I would like to commend Perla Zamora for her outstanding customer service. Perla was informative and knowledgeable about all the products. Her patience and advice were well received. After visiting your property 3 times and going to 6 other places, we finally found what we wanted, only to discover the slabs were already purchased. Perla kept in touch with us regarding new arrivals and when our chosen slabs arrived, she promptly contacted us.
Not one of the other 6 businesses have gotten back to us to date! Thank you Perla for giving us the kitchen we so desired and thank you MSI for having excellent employees like Perla Zamora. We will return AND tell others "there is only one place to shop and that is MSI AND ask for Perla Zamora." Sharon and Alan Butman

It took me forever to get an appointment go here. I called 4 times (in the lapse of 2 days) and they always told me they would call me back to set an appointment. They never did. I was finally able to get a call back when reaching them out on the chat. Tina called me and she told me there was an appointment available Monday 9am. I told her I needed to talk with my husband and I'd call her back to confirm.
I did (2 minutes after) but I hit the voicemail. I left a voicemail saying that I was confirming the appointment and asking her to call me back to make sure it was confirmed. Again, she didn't call back. I went to MSI on Monday and "big surprise", I didn't have the appointment. I live almost an hour from the location so it was super disappointing.
People there were able to squeeze in an appointment, (that's why I'm giving 2 stars) but once there I was constantly trying to get help but everyone was busy. I felt like I was asking favors all the time. I ended up spending 2 hours there from a visit that could have been 30 min. Selection was ok, not as great as I thought it would be.

I've been to seven stone and tile places around the area, and MSI, which does not sell direct to consumer, was by far the most elaborate of warehousing operations. It has a decent tile showroom for both interior applications and exterior landscaping. The slab selection is quite extensive, however in the end, they were the most expensive in retail pricing by as much as 45% over the lowest I found for identical products. Appointments are required to visit, and the registration check in process is quite advanced including a Covid screening questionnaire accessible via a QR code.
Staff was helpful but unlike all other places visited, they all stay seated behind the front counter. So there was a sense of coldness with this setup. While I am one who likes to do my research, I also am one in search of the best price possible. And I know in checking with my fabricator, we were able to find a better price elsewhere for the same product I was in search for.

An appointment was required by this business for a visit to their showroom. The appointment setup was elaborate right to the point of entering the showroom floor. Even though a salesperson was assigned to us they disappeared after answering a few questions and never came back to us as they were with other customers. Having no one to answer our queries we left! The natural stone slab selection was superb!

WOW! What an experience. Thousands of choices. Why go to a place that only has a few color choices when you can see them all. This is a very high end space and warehouse that is automated, safe, and clean with people that are extremely helpful. PRO TIP: Choose your materials early as they get shipments in every 2 weeks (speaking about granite) and they will sell out fast - within only a few days.

Since you cannot really be sure when looking at a 9x5 inch sample, I went to see the full slab of a quartz countertop for my kitchen remodel. COVID precautions were followed and the person took me directly to the slab I was interested in. She did not rush me while I looked at it. Warehouse seemed very organized and clean though finding the front door wasn't easy.
If you take the entrance right next to the railroad track, the door is 3/4 the way around the building (past all the bays). I wasn't shopping so can't say anything about value or reliability as I am purchasing through my contractor.

I had a horrible experience at MSI stonework. The staff did not know what they were doing and messed up my order selling my quartzite that I purchased from them to another person and then trying to give me a different stone thinking I would not know the difference. After I noticed their mistake and complained they did not apologize nor had any resolution to their mistake. Also, in calling the store numerous times the operator does not even know who works there. It was a very frustrating and it was a horrible experience and has made my kitchen remodel stressful and not enjoyable. There is no customer service what so ever.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Only negative is that they did not have samples available of 2 of the 3 backsplash tiles that we are interested in. Makes it difficult to choose since the lighting in your home is much different than the showroom. Overall, good experience and they were very Covid conscious, which I appreciate.

It was an odd customer service experience. I did appreciate their safety measures, which are clear. However, I was basically ignored most of the time I was there. They would only pay attention to me or answer my questions when I hunted someone down. The original person who was assigned to help me, disappeared at one point, leaving me in the warehouse section.
When I went looking for her, I found her about to leave the building with her purse in hand. Not a word to me. It was just bizarre. I'm not a difficult customer, I just needed help figuring out how I wanted to spend my $5000+. They were also out of stock of my preferred variety of quartz and I had to ask 2 different associates before I could find out if they were getting more and if so, when.

Wow, this showroom/warehouse operation was impressive. It was by far the most massive, upscale, organized, and clean stone showroom/warehouse I have ever seen. Admittedly, I haven't seen a lot, but I have seen a few, and they were typically dusty and spartan mom/pop operations, but in the end they also did get the job done for us. Here, there was a receptionist, a check-in using your smart-phone including a Covid health questionnaire, racks of hard hats for our visual slab inspections, helpful staff, clean and separate showrooms for mosaics, porcelains, marbles, granites, quartz, and who knows what else as we weren't looking for everything.
There were also many take-home samples available, and a nice little bag provided for such. Overall, very impressive! But do we pay for all this in a more expensive slab product? (We were looking for either a new granite of quartz kitchen countertop.) Upon receiving both a granite and quartz quote from our installation contractor a few days after our visit, the answer is - apparently not!
The quote we received was very competitive. At a minimum, there is an economy of scale working for MSI, and to the best of my knowledge, they look to be the Amazon of stone suppliers, so kudos to MSI!

The person who check us in was extremely rude. We had our kids with us (didn't know they weren't allowed due to Covid) we were told they had to stay on the couch. Luckily we had someone with us that could watch them so we both could look. I asked a question about it when I was checking in and I was told that I they aren't responsible for watching my kids.
Like I would leave them there by themselves?!?! So rude and condescending. We will probably end up buying from there but I'm glad my contractor will go there to order so we don't have to deal with the front desk staff.

After having waited 2 months for them to open back up to the public, I was hoping to have received personalized assistance during my set appointment time. Instead, Milan took me to the showroom and said to grab him if I had any questions. I noticed other customers received more personalized showroom floor assistance from other MSI sales reps. Also, when I did manage to ask Milan a question on the various quartz levels and pricing, he didn't know the answer to the differences between Level A, B & C Home Depot slabs. IMO that's a basic question that he should have an answer for.
I realize they can't give our pricing, but at the very least they should know what the different slab levels are. This way I'm not wasting my time choosing slab samples that don't match my fabricator's level pricing. So in short, while the MSI showroom is much nicer than Castle Wholesalers, their sales reps need to be more hands on attentive to fabricator customers.

It took my wife a while to find MSI in the industrial park setting, truck bays, and narrow vehicle path. But once inside, the ladies at the front desk were extremely friendly, and cordial. The girl showed us the granite patterns in the warehouse and offered her opinions on different slabs. She even got a worker to move a slab so we could see the pattern of the other, behind it. The staff was awesome, it was very clean, and the show room offered quite a selection.

No sign from main road, but at least the Wayfair people could direct. Amazing selection, but not sure how the reviews that involved staff happened; we were told, "quartz on right, granite on left" and that was it. Other than assuming those marked Home Depot Grade A are cheaper than Home Depot Grade B, most are not HD and there is no clue as to relative price. I realize they price differently to different installers, but at least knowing relative pricing would be helpful.

Arrived on a Thursday evening. Employees were complaining about other customers and cursing as we arrived. Didn't make for a pleasant experience. The person who helped us didn't offer any recommendations, didn't know where all the materials were, and hustled us out the door. It was helpful seeing the slabs in person and taking samples, but I would have preferred not to interact with any of these employees.

We stopped at the MSI warehouse after being told about it by a sales agent from Granix. It was very helpful to be able to see full slabs and compare several of the quartz that we are considering for our remodeling effort. The staff were very friendly and professional. As an added bonus, they had free samples available which helps because the warehouse lighting is so different from the lighting in our kitchen.

Says they are open until 1pm on Saturdays. We drove an hour there and arrived at noon. The staff was incredibly rude and only allowed us about 10 mins to look around because they "decided to close early since they weren't very busy". Even though there were several other people there, and people trying to walk in when we left. Disappointed that we only got to spend 10 mins looking while being stared down by the staff and then had to drive another hour home.
Especially since our entire kitchen is done and we really needed to make a decision on countertops and backsplash. And our work schedules only permit for us to come on Saturdays.

We need to get a part of our countertops in the kitchen replaced and our contractor told us to visit MSI to see if they had a comparable slab. Check in process was easy and we were taken back to the showroom within minutes. Representative was courteous and helpful, despite believing we will not find a similar slab from 8 years ago (we brought the small sample piece from back then), we found a piece we like after they had to lift few pieces from a giant stack. Overall, very easy process and time efficient. They also hold the specific piece for you for 7 days.
