READ THIS BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH ALLIED. Oct 2017 I purchase a fence from Allied and paid them over $8500. Last week a tree fell on my property and by the grace of God only 1 panel of my fence was destroyed. I have left their marketing sign on my fence for 5 years. Also, I have made several recommendations to home owners that resulted in new business for Allied.
I contacted the original sales rep, Mr. John Iddings to repair the fence. He was a week getting the quote to me and I patiently waited. Today he sent me a quote of $880 to repair the one 4x6 aluminum panel. I looked up the cost of the panel at Home Depot. It is $109 for the panel and less than $50 for necessary accessories a total of $159. I called to ask him if he could give me a better quote than over $700 for labor for about 1 hour of work, repeat business.
He was rude and inconsiderate. He even said he didn't care if Allied received a bad review. I did some research on line and feel this price is way too high. I paid about $8500 for 344 feet of fence. Now 1 panel that is 6 ft long and 4 ft high needs replaced and he wants almost $1000 for that. I am not impressed. I hope someone from Allied will get my name from Mr. Iddings and offer me a fair price for this repair.

They were recommended by our landscaping company so I didn't do as much research as normal so I guess this is partly my fault. Had an old fence replaced with nicer fencing- and the fence does look great- but later found out that they made multiple holes in our irrigation system (8!)- the irrigation repair man said he had never seen something so egregious.most people would at least tag where they made the damage but this wasn't even identified.
When I contacted them to let them know how much damage had been done- their response was simply "I don't think our guys would do that". I originally wasn't going to write a review but then I found out that in addition to that damage- they also damaged our outdoor lighting! (now that they've responded in a sassy manner- sorry you found this out through this review but since you didn't do anything after my last phone call, why would I let you know you damaged something else).
I debated giving them 2 stars since I like the fence but then I remembered that they didn't even measure correctly during the estimate (it was divided into 2 phases but even after clarifying the point where Phase 1 was to stop with emails and phone calls- behind a different fence- when it was installed it was not at that point.they were going to leave with the fence stopping in the middle of the yard) so actually not a single part of the installation was done correctly. I-285WX12 (same exit as Petro). End of ramp TL (opposite of Petro- the Petro will be on the R). Approx 4 mi on the L. Will see truck entrance. Its one way. Outside dock (only one). Tight squeeze but not too bad. If you have spread acles, it'll take a little maneuvering depending on what's on the ground. Watch your tires as metal and boards lying about as well as rolls of fencing. Guys are cool there, very friendly and they'll help spot if you ask.

I received a quote from John. I have text this man 3 times to resend me the quote because I'm ready for them to install the fence. John replied he would send the qoute but I Never heard from him again.this is the contact before the service.not good already.and the sad part is they are backed up by Home Depot.well I work for Home Depot and they will not be recommended to anyone else.

They never showed up for the initial measure/estimate. I never received a phone call or email. I called and was told they would be back in the area two days later. Again, they never showed.no phone call or email once again. I called again and was told "you must be getting frustrated since I can't make it out there". I said I was going to find someone else. The guy said, "Ok, sorry" and immediately hung up. Not impressed with professionalism, customer service, time management, courtesy, etc.

Allied is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life and I'm over 60 years old. John Iddings is from the good old boys club. He is a master manipulator, he will lure you in with a gift of gab to purchase a fence that is three times over priced. John is very nasty and very unprofessional. Allied does not stand behind their product. When I purchased a cedar fence I was never told it needed to be stained because it was going to turn a gray color.
When I brought it to John attention in a nasty tone he quoted $3,000. I had a problem with a piece of wood that split that was holding up my gate which caused the gate to fall. I contacted The President Edlin Todd who told me they could not repair the problem because the wind caused the problem and I would have to pay $450.00 out of pocket. How could this be and Cedar Fences have a 5 year warranty?

I was given a quote by this company. After a couple of weeks, I decided to go with thos company. Cheryl told me she would email the permit papers. Once I explained to her that my neighbors my be paying for half, she literally sends an email a couple hours later saying she had only quoted me for concrete and labor, but not the material. This is after she told me that the cost of material jumped 100% in a week.
This new quote differed by $700. And we be by far the highest quote out of 8 quotes I received. The worst part was getting my neighbor to agree on the company only for the company to do this. POOR COMMUNICATION! UNPROFESSIONAL! OVERPRICED!

Hired these guys for a repair through our contractor. A joke from the start. Needed to replace fence, gate, and electronics-including auto exit, car programming, safety sensor, and keypad. 10ft of fencing took 3 weeks. Gate was made well, but railing was wrong size. New one 3 weeks later. Gate controller stopped working after 5 minutes. Won't work with the car controls. Had to have them come back to re-install the auto exit (they forgot).
And the controller still doesn't work unless you are standing 1 ft. From the gate. Workman was curt and left before we could test it. This has been going on for 3 months. Hire ANYONE else.

I had an appointment set up with a contractor by the name of John last initial E for 5/21/2020 between the hours of 1 and 2 I sat there until 2:48 he did not show up nor did he call this is a new built a new subdivision I was recommended by someone but I would definitely not recommend anyone to Allied fence the common courtesy and professional customer service will be to call and say you're running late or to reschedule right now it is 2:50 and I still have not heard from him so I will scratch Allied off of my list as far as a business or any future recommendations

This fence company does a lot of work in our area, so I thought it would be a good company to use. I had a wood fence installed approximately one year ago. The sales representative (John Iddings) recommended cedar wood, so that's what I thought I purchased. After the fence posts began to warp, I found out that it wasn't cedar that was use for the posts.
No worries though, Allied Fence Company offers a 5 year warranty on cedar fences. When I called to inform them of the fence posts warping and the nails no longer holding the fence properly, the reply that I received stated that it would be an additional $450.00 to repair the unsatisfying work that they had initially installed. Then, when I commented on their reliability, John decided to send me a copy of the fake warranty that they use as a sales pitch when you're shopping around for Fence Companies. Unless you want to pay additional money for repairs on shady work, I would stay away from Allied Fence Company!

I needed replacement keys for the control box on my electric gate. Called the manufacturer in CA and was told that I had to buy the whole lock that comes with 2 keys. No problem. BUT.they couldn't sell to me and that I needed to call the closest distributor. Allied fence. He gave me their phone number and the part number. I called. I was told they didn't have any in stock.
I asked if they would order one. I was told NO. "We don't sell you anything. We only will install things". I told her I didn't NEED anything installed that I needed to buy keys and would throw the lock away. She said they would not order this for me. I informed her that THE MANUFACTURER TOLD ME TO CALL AND BUY THEM. "We won't order it for you".
When I have problems in the future with the actual control box/panel.guess who I WILL NOT be calling. P.S. Called the manufacturer back and he was ASTONISHED. His words? "Nice attitude and a great way to stay in business".

I went to Home Depot for a fence. John contacted me promptly for an estimate. That same day we signed up and paid deposit for install. I reached out twice to get an install date. Each time I was told I would receive a call next week. I have yet to receive a call. It will be 5 weeks with no install date. This will be my first fence. Is this normal? Update: I finally received my fence. The guys just showed up on week 6. No phone call. Luckily we were home. The fence looks good, the dogs are happy.

If I could give no stars to this company, I would. I was stood up for an appointment with NO call to cancel, no explanation, no apology! When I called 4 days later, he said "well, I said I would call you when I was on my way". I said you made an appointment for after 4 pm that day! Four days later I have received no phone call. He stated, "I will call you later this week when I can stop by.
I have a lot of phone calls to return". I asked, "How did I drop from the top of the list on Friday to the bottom?" He stated, "I can you see you want trouble, so get someone else to do the job". HE HUNG UP ON ME! Businesses who have high demand think they can be rude to people and treat them with disrespect. I didn't even get a chance! He knew I needed a fence quickly to get a foster rescue out of my garage where he has been living for three months. Pathetic customer service!

I am not sure how to really rate them since I never got service. I requested service for a broken security gate for the business and the technician never came over a period of a week. I called and spoke with Customer Service Representatives (all were great - I even received a call stating that someone would be in touch shortly, but that was 6 days ago).
I guess they are really slammed with work. The issue was I couldn't get anyone to give me an actual appointment and the technician was supposed to just show up. I recently just called to cancel the request because I was able to get another company to give an actual timed appointment. Let's hope they show up so our business can be secured! Edit April 2019: It is possible that since apparently there is no record of my call to anyone is why our business was never serviced.

We have had nothing but great experiences working with Allied Fence. We had a rather large residential project that they handled with ease. Our salesperson John I was always very easy to reach and ensured that we were satisfied as customers. Any issues were promptly addressed and resolved. They also had the best price out of the 5 or some companies that we interviewed for the project. Keep up the excellent work Allied!

Update 4/9/2019: So I get an alert today regarding ANOTHER response from the president of this business attempting to discredit my original review. He states that my review regarding their poor customer service isn't legitimate because I chose not to respond. Todd, my review and experience is very legitimate and I chose not to respond as YOUR initial response to my experience came MANY MONTHS after I posted my initial complaint.
I used Marietta Fencing after your people failed to respond. Marietta Fencing came out and built two more fences on my property and have been very responsive in doing repairs. Don't concoct stories here about fake reviews. Perhaps I should post the receipt from doing business with your company initially on the cedar fence. Nah, it's not worth it. This business's pattern of not responding to customers is obvious in other reviews posted here. ~~~~ This company apparently has some serious customer service issues.

There are additional reviews online regarding their poor customer followup. The management there obviously doesn't understand what customer service is.

These guys came out to install a privacy fence and they did a superb job. John came out to do the estimate, and he was very pleasant and answered every question I had. Then, Robert and his team came to install and they did a great job in very good timing. They were done with my back yard in two days and I have a pretty big back yard. I would recommend them if you're looking for quality fencing. They even made sure the fence was dog proof at the bottom for my two dogs! Please get these guys for your next home improvement job!

This company has zero regard for customers. Stay away from them. I went to Home Depot's Home Services counter and said I wanted to install a fence. HD took my info and sent me an email 3 days later saying Allied Fence would reach out to me. Over a week later I hadn't heard back from Allied so I called them on April 6th, 2018. Eva answered the phone and promptly put me on hold.
After 25 minutes of being on hold it was clear that Allied was NOT interested in my business and has zero regard for any potential customers. I'll take my business elsewhere and I suggest you do the same.

I wouldn't recommend this company for any fence installation. The owner John is very rude and sarcastic when u call and need help. I called 3 months ago to fix a loose board and I had to call several times to get the work done. He gets smart with you after I have paid for the fence. He's a contractor for Home Depot. Please beware.

Did not complete work. Paid to have a chain link fence put in for a small dog. Job was almost complete minus a corner piece to seal off the area so the dog could not get free. The installer did not have the remaining pieces of hardware to complete the job. I stated if he could just drop them by I would finish. He stated he would be by the following Saturday.
I waited a week and a half, no show. I called the project manager and he stated he would have him out within a couple days to finish. That did not happen. Three weeks out and I just went and paid for the final pieces at Lowes and completed the job myself. I will not use or recommend this company. Small detail but when I am paid to do a job I complete it. I expect the same of others when I pay them.

Allied manufactured a gate for my general contractor. The GC went out of business and did not pay Allied. Out of niceness, I unfortunately paid Allied direct. It's been just over a year and the paint is peeling off like crazy. When the owner was contacted he could care less and said to take the problem up with the general contractor.bad guy? yes, I think so. Would I recommend these people, absolutely NOT!

This is by far the best investment in our property that we have made! The Cedar Fence looks phenomenal compared to the pine fence our neighbors used! They get a zero. They guaranteed our gate via an email and said they grounded it. It was struck by lightning and was inoperable. They then claimed they actually did not and could not deal with the electrical part and asked we call an electrician. Our electrician came and said they had improperly grounded the gate so that electricity flowed back to the operator and gate-- and that this could have caused a severe injury or death.
The electrician properly grounded but when we asked Allied to come fix their part of the gate, they said it was no longer under warranty because we had an electrician out (which they suggested). Incompetent and Dangerous --- In addition, when our electrician tried to get the part to fix the operating board, he found the system was an extremely old model out of Europe and impossible to get parts for--- this is all unbelievably irresponsible for anyone running a business.
