Door Mill

Absolutely the worse company to do business with. Ordered 2 doors 1 of a 4-0 X 8-0 French door and 1 of a 3-0 X 8-0 left swing door sent a picture of the French door to match since they were going to be next to that set of door. Note I have ordered doors, baseboards and door casings and really never had an issue with the sales person I worked with for the last 3 years then everything got F--- up when they moved me to a different sales rep. that DOES NOT know how to return a phone call or reply to an email.

This company/sales person uses every excuse to why they can't return phone calls or reply to emails So after a about a week of this sales person kept saying my doors will be done and ready for pickup on a Friday (warehouse closes at 2pm) after a number of calls that did not get answered and emails with no response until the following Monday. Got the voice mail (I was on a airplane) that they are ready for pickup go to pickup the doors and come to find out the french door had a T-astragal which the picture I sent did not have one and had ball catches.

So I had to call yet again because the sales person is out of the office call the cell phone number and the sales persons states the problem was with there computer system. Get a call from sales person that uses every excuse to blame me for the mishap and now I will wait for a refund to order through a different door company since the Door Mill has NO customer service what so ever. So beware if you do business with The Door Mill!

Fiance and I find this business on Google, looks promising. Drive from North Scottsdale down to showroom. As we are walking in, we notice a sign on the door that says "by appointment only". Mind you, nowhere on the website does it say that it's by appointment only. So being that we were already there I called and talked to a lady. She said, unfortunately there is not a salesman available but we are welcome to come in.

I assumed they were busy assisting others. We proceeded in, and looked around and noticed there was not one single other customer in the showroom. I thought that was odd considering nobody was available to help us. We watched 3-4 random employees walk around, go back and forth into each other's office and desk areas. Not ONCE did anyone greet us or even acknowledge us.

I understand no salesmen were available but to completely ignore us is a joke. We are in the process of building a very nice custom home in north scottsdale. We came down with the intention of spending a fair amount of money on interior doors and hardware. This place 100% won't get a penny from us. After 20 min of waiting for someone to greet us we left. In the words of a wise Asian man from the movie "Hangover". "Too-da-loo mother ****ers!"

Windows and doors from the Door Mill (sister company Valley View windows) were a subcontractor to my builder and custom home project. Window installation was very poor and quality control was non existent. Had 4 windows fail, creating issues for having to repair 3 rooms wood floors because of water damage. Two others had to be ripped out and replaced, causing stucco damage. Screens were missing, the fit and finish for probably 1/2 of all windows was poor.

Many of the production issues are the window manufacturers, however this is why I am mentioning quality control for the install, as the windows with issues should never have been accepted by the Door Mill/Valley View, much less installed. I have been dealing with windows for 2 years now, without resolution and now the manufacturer has discontinued these windows (for good reason).

The latest issue has been going on for 6 months without an understand for when there will be rectification. Their web site indicates "installation is our speciality" and "we value our longstanding reputation.and therefore you can feel confident the job will get done right, .the first time" - WRONG, very wrong.

Did a great repair job to front door, very respectful, followed all covid-19 protocols.

Tragically bad 'in-person' customer service and non-existent communication through phone & email. I went to Door Mill at my contractors request. Their behavior reflects poorly on them as well as my contractor. Whatever perks or gifts they're giving to the contractors will not work after they're blacklisted by the ones paying their wages and operating expenses.

Door Mill needs a major overhaul in sales and customer service before they go out of business. Based on my current experience with Door Mill, I wouldn't be surprised if their orders are late and wrong when delivered. Disclaimer: I don't think it's possible for Door Mill to ignore all new business and contractor referrals. At least that's what I'm hoping, but I'm not holding my breath.

These people are terrible to work with. Can never get a call back. Doors were supposed to take 2 weeks and we are now going on 5! They couldn't even get the correct hand rail measurement correct. Don't use them!

Well if you're looking for an Open Door they got them and they'll open them for you is a great bunch of people where they have many doors that will suit your needs so come let the door be open to you great job guys thanks

I don't believe they state this on their website, but they are not a company that works with the general public. I called and was told they would only work with a contractor (which is what I was hoping they would do for me).

AWFUL DOORS! Cracks in the door that sunlight comes thru and they won't replace because they are only warranted for a year! DO NOT BUY DOORS FROM HERE!

For doors and windows and more this is the place to go. they are good at what they do. They can do anything, especially on rough openings for doors any size any style, make sure you ask any questions you have.

I've worked with the Door Mill a few times. For me, they are extremely difficult to work with and the sales staff is very unresponsive. The owner (Kelly) also does not respond to direct calls or emails about these problems. Problems I experienced: 1) The sales staff do not return calls or emails. This gets worse once you have paid a deposit. 2) The front office wants their money up front but returns or defective items can take months and 5 to 10 calls to get resolved. 3) For delivery, typically only 1 person is sent (one driver).

This single human is expected to cart around very heavy 8' sold core doors (100lbs) and stacks of 16' shelf material. Have you tried carrying 16' shelf material by yourself? He damaged drywall carrying items thru the front door. Not sure why this guy doesn't quit. Macys sends 2 delivery guys for a single nightstand! 4) Little coordination between delivery staff and job site superintendents. NOTE the positive review is from an employee ( Brittney M works for the company ). Also note 2% fee to use your business AMEX

Horrible customer service! Terribly rude lady that came to the front desk would not help us at all. She was very put out that we hadn't called to make an appointment & that we didn't bring our contractor with us. We drove 30 minutes to pick out the doors and baseboards so that our contractor could order them. We won't be ordering ANYTHING from this company. Totally unacceptable.

Building a home. They gave a quote for birch doors which was reasonable and we wanted more information. We tried getting a hold of the salesman for aver a week. Very UNRESPONSIVE.they must be too big to deal with a small $30K order. We'll take our small order elsewhere. Next time we won't waste our time with this company!

I didn't want to give them a single star! I first called about a month ago (maybe longer) and was told to send pictures of the doorway and measurements etc. so I did right away and didn't hear back so a week later I called and was told that my email went into his junk mail so I was told he would work on the quote. Long story short, I have called several times and emailed but no response.

Finally on Friday I was told "oh, I have your quote in this stack of paperwork that I'm trying to get through" it's now 7 days later and NOTHING! Don't waste your time. Clearly they don't care about the business and if they can't take the time to return a call then I want nothing to do with the company.

Great service! I had a door latch hardware break, and they were able to advise me on how to troubleshoot, identify the correct part and fix the issue. Thank you Doug!
