In the year 1918, Clyde Cash opened a sand and gravel pit on his family's farm located east of Greencastle on State Road 240. Shortly thereafter he began utilizing the sand and gravel to produce concrete block. In 1948, Clyde's two sons, Bill and Gene, added concrete septic tank production to the operation.
