Ready mixed concrete is ordered in terms of "cubic yards." The below calculations will assist you in figuring how many "cubic yards" of concrete is required for your project. In this case, the equation tells you that 1.52 cubic yards will be required. As a rule of thumb, always round up to the nearest quarter yard to compensate for differentials in depth, measurements, and/or "waste/spillage."
In 1947, Cole County Industries, Inc. was formed to produce and distribute ready-mixed concrete in Jefferson City and it's surrounding areas. The operation was first located at 1415 Jefferson Street, but was moved to the current location at 1405 Industrial Drive in 1966 to make room for the construction of US Highway 54 and the Jefferson Street exit.
