I had an emergency where my cat went missing for 2 days under the bathtub and snuck into ducts of the house, Dave came on memorial Day late night and was a blessing! If it wasn't for Dave and his amazing work my cat would have died inside the walls of the house, great with plumbing and does above and beyond! Highly recommended great company and great workers!

Pete was professional, friendly, thorough and detailed. He explained things in a way I understood and was helpful not only today but in looking to the future with both my heating and AC needs. HR Stewart will be the first I call for any of my HVAC needs and who I will recommend others to. Services: Heating system repair, A/C system repair

This was my first time using H.R. Stewart. We had a sump pump issue and needed it fixed fast before the rainy spring season. They were able to come out at my convenience. William was on time, very professional, friendly and explained everything clearly. He got our pump replaced within an hour. I also love that they are local to our community. I will definitely be using their service in the future!

I always hate having technicians come into my house but I highly recommend H.R Stewart! Our technician Pete is always super friendly, on time and is very thorough. They always try and find ways to save me money instead of racking up my bill. Whenever I have a problem come up with my HVAC they are so quick to get out to my house and make sure we're taken care of. Couldn't speak more highly of them.

Had them come in to install a new gas lines for a shop. There was some tight areas around steel columns and some real tight corners they had to deal with. It literally looks like a work of art next to another competitors work. Everything they used is american made. If you want someone out right away without any leaks or issues use HR Stewart or you'll use them to fix the other pipe fitters mistakes

Called HR Stewart on a Friday a few weeks ago during one of the Chicago hot spells. Our air conditioner was leaking water all over our basement floor. Our basement is fully furnished so I was naturally in a bit of a panic plus the water was leaking into the electrical components of the heat/as combo unit. We were mopping and wringing out towels every 5 minutes.
I called HR Stewart's emergency number and left a message (knowing it was after hours and I probably wouldn't actually get a live person). I get a call back about 20 minutes later from their on-call technician and explain the problem to him. First he tells me that their "overtime rate" is $250 per hour. I figured well, this is going to cost a lot more if we don't do anything, so I tell him ok, that's fine.
Then he says that it's gong to be 3 or 4 hours before he can get there.ummm, it was already 6pm but I figure they're probably been busy because it's hot, so I tell him no problem. Then he asks if I'm part of their quarterly service contract. I tell him no but that they've been out before and even installed the unit. That's when he tells me that they don't consider an AC unit leaking onto the floor and the electrical panel to be a valid "emergency/after-hours" call and that besides, they are only coming out for people who have a quarterly service contract.
Apparently they had already been on X number of calls that day and so I should wait and call back Monday; they MIGHT be able to come out then. I was livid. Luckily, just then another HVAC company called me back. They came out from Arlington Heights in about an hour, charged me $135 per hour, and had the problem fixed in 30 minutes. I'm in the market for a new AC/furnace unit sometime within the next 3 - 6 months. You can be sure HR Stewart is NOT getting my business, but the other guy in Arlington Heights will be!

Our water heater started to leak. -Tons of water from all sides (we didn't know this was happing for a few hours) After we turned off the water and power and we cleaned up all the water in our basement (that sucked), we were not sure who to call. My Dad who owns a small appliance store in the area recommended H.R. Stewart. They were great. I called at 8 am and they said they could be there in 15 minutes. Anthony came to the house and talked me though all our options.
The prices were very comparable with others in the area. He got to work right away and was finished in a few hours. Everyone I talked to at H.R. Stewart was so nice, professional, and helpful. Thank you so much.

Highly recommend. We use HR Stewart for our home and business. They are very timely and fair priced. MOST IMPORTANT they are a pleasure to interact with, the owner is pleasant and the actual service technicians (especially) Sean is a JOY to work with. He greeted me at my front door with a smile and a hand shake then took the time to explain all of our needs. WOW it is hard to find trades people that make the customer experience an excellent one. We are fans.
