After a garage door spring broke after about 20 years of service, Girard's overhauled both of our garage doors and replaced and lubricated all spring, pulley, cable and roller components. They also adjusted the alignment of the doors. The doors now open and close more smoothly and more quietly than ever before.even better than when they were new. The technician couldn't have been nicer and explained the work performed. The entire job took about 90 minutes. I highly recommend Girard's Garage Door Repair Service! They really know their stuff!

Tech Dave was on-time, explained everything he was doing, gave us complete instructions on how to use the openers/remotes, for 3 replacement garage doors. Great communication skills, excellent installation work, & a high quality product made for a very smooth experience. Love the automatic locking bolt on the LiftMaster opener! Completely pleased and satisfied with the service provided by Girard's Garage Door Service who repaired my garage door opener today. Called yesterday and was given a two hour appointment window today. Dave, the repair tech contacted me by phone and advised he was on his way. Upon arrival Dave quickly diagnosed the problem and thoroughly explained the fix. Had gear replaced at a fraction of the cost of a new opener. Dave also complementary inspected and serviced my other two doors. Service was reasonably priced and includes a ninety day warranty. Highly recommend Girard's for your garage door needs without hesitation.

The spring broke on my garage door. I called Girard's on Thursday after a Google search, and Ryan came out today. I did not need one-day service. He replaced both springs and the cables that were showing signs of wear. Very courteous, professional service that was appropriately priced. I have 3 garage doors. This company will be my first call when the other two need some work done.

I hired Girard's Garage Door Services to replace 2 garage door openers, both of which were approximately 21 years old. The technician, Jesse, told me that I could purchase the openers from either Home Depot or Lowes, and made recommendations for the type and size of the openers. He suggested using Chamberlain openers, and specifically the belt drive version with battery backup and built in LED lighting.
I followed his suggestion and ordered the necessary components from Home Depot. Once the equipment arrived, I scheduled the installation with Girard's. I was fortunate enough to have Jesse as the installer. He did a great job, was very efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. He even let me watch and learn as he did the install! He completed the installation quickly, verified that everything was working properly, and gave me a tutorial on how to use and configure the openers for the garage doors.
His work was neat and professional. When all was complete, he removed all of the old equipment and trash associated with the new equipment. The new openers are so much quieter than the previous, I am glad he recommended the belt drive openers. Overall, I am very pleased with the work performed and recommend using Girard's for garage door installations and maintenance. Great job, Jesse!

UPDATE: Tommy from Girard's did reach out to me within hours of my review and offered to return my service fee. I would recommend if you did have any troubles with Girard's service, definitely reach out to the main office and ask for Tommy. It definitely seems like they value the customer experience, so if you have any frustrations like I did, it is worth reaching out and letting them know. Review: Personally, I wouldn't recommend this service because in my experience their technicians were not straightforward or consistent.
We recently had our garage door springs after 10 years break, and we had Girard's replace it with an extension spring system. After they replaced it, I noticed the door wasn't going down evenly anymore. I called them out and they said it was because of the trim not being lubricated enough, so he applied oil to the trim. After he left, the garage door continued to go down unevenly and I just lived with it until visibly it got to be bad.
I called them out again, this time it is the pulley that is the problem. So he replaced it. During both of these services, the technicians did the work without telling me it would cost anything. I assumed it would be covered under warranty (they told me the parts were covered) since it was their work that was causing the problem. Instead, they charged me $75 twice to solve the same problem.
Their warranty is really just for show because the parts aren't really that expensive, so keep that in mind, if you are requesting service. Overall, I just wanted them to be straight with me regarding what things are going to cost before actually doing them, like any traditional business. Just tell me straight that parts are covered BUT there is a service fee of $75. Then, let me decide if I want this service or not.
And don't charge me twice for the same problem. If the problem persists, come out and fix it for free because clearly your technician misdiagnosed the problem to begin with. Like I said at the beginning, I don't recommend this service to anyone who needs to get their garage door serviced.

Dave was awesome! My extension spring snapped this morning. Girard's gave me a same day appointment. Dave came and fixed the springs, oiled and checked the other two doors, and put a brace on one door for extra stability. He was courteous and experienced. The repair was less than 30 minutes and affordable! I would definitely recommend Girard's and I'd use them again gladly! Thank you.
