Went here today and will never go back. Asked for help from a male worker and he said he would find someone since vinyl flooring wasn't his area. He quickly found someone to help us and a lady with long black hair came over who was obviously annoyed to be interrupted in what she was doing to help us. She was extremely rude and gave us attitude when we asked for quotes for two types of vinyl. She was not friendly, not helpful and unfortunately turned us off from using this company.

Very helpful. they aided my client to order the items she needed. and when I went to pick them the yard staff was extremely accommodating. The showroom staff was a pleasure to work with.

We couldn't believe how stressful it was to renovate our bathroom so we feel fortunate that Universal Tile in Hartford took very good care of us. They went above and beyong to be extemely accomodating and helpful.

Service is excellent and the selection, showroom and staff are outstanding. They have all your tiling needs.

So far it's been a terrific experience working with Universal Tile. We visited several tile groups and while driving made our decision to select a tile at Universal. Called them and spoke with Stacey. Stacey was great and got us a quote within the hour. The tile was more expensive than we had budgeted and Stacey recommended another tile that had much of the color and texture we were looking for at a price that met our budget.

We went in spoke with Stacey, looked at grout, picked up the tile and it took less thant 15 minutes to get everything packed up and headed back home. Can't thanks Stacey enough for her help, Will update this review and take pics once we get the tile installed.

Tile and design advice by qualified staff, this is the place. We revisited for a second bathroom remodel after have such a positive experience with our first master bathroom remodeling. Martin is our guy, but do not overlook any of the other staff. It is always a good idea to have a tiling contractor to verify your order and get the contractor's discount. If you don't have a contractor yet, Universal can recommend a few. Just get a couple of estimates before signing on with someone. Good luck and ConGROUTulations!

Went to the big box stores products were cheap looking and overpriced. This place had a great selection of quality products at very fair prices. The staff was all very helpful and knowledgeable

Absolutely horrible experience. I will never be shopping here again. My order was completely ordered wrong. After receiving the wrong order after a long wait, the product I wanted was sold out. I had to return 3 times because my refund was then not being done correctly either.

Do not follow COVID regulations, staff walks around with their masks pulled all the way down. Don't recommend.

Very knowledgeable staff with an amazing amount of different styles and types of tiles.and most in stock! The sales staff makes you feel very welcome and never rushed. You can't beat the selection and prices at Universal Tile. I always have and will never get my tile from anywhere but Universal Tile!

I am so happy I used these guys for my kitchen remodel! They're not the "typical pushy sales people" you encounter more often than not, in retail. They're friendly and honest about products. I didn't feel pressured into purchasing something I didn't need, or buying the most expensive option as opposed to something else. All the staff I interacted with were attentive and more than patient with me, while I asked my list of questions. Highly recommend this store!

Disappointed with customer service - In the past 3 weeks, I have been to Universal Tile 4 times (browsing, ordering, picking up, and attempting a return). I am not a contractor and it was my first time going through the tile process, and I found the staff to unapproachable and unfriendly. During the ordering process, two staff were debating the name of the tile sample I was holding, which made me question their expertise and left doubts in my mind about if my order was going to be correct. Additionally, I ordered off of a sample board and provided a sample from the warehouse; yet when I attempted to return 2 unopened boxes, they said it was a special order (it was plain white subway tile).

While I love the tile and the work my contractor did, my experience with Universal left a lot to be desired, and I wouldn't recommend them for customers who are not contractors.

Beautiful selection and great prices. Outstanding customer service to match their gorgeous showroom. We worked with Jackie and she was very knowledgeable and patient with us while we changed our minds numerous times. She worked hard to help us find the right tile for our budget. Thank you!

First time ever shopping for tiles for our bathroom remodel. We expected a fat Italian guy with a big gut hanging over his belt, smelly of a cheap cigar and burping up a greasy garlicky odor from his last dinner. Instead we had Tai take care of us. Tai was gentle, sweet and very close to being angelical. She took so much time finding the perfect combination for our bathroom.

Everything was in stock, we headed to the warehouse in back and were on our way. We can not recommend Universal Tile enough, maybe you will be so fortunate to have Tai as your sales representative.

Tony and the team are amazing. We just renovated a hotel nearby using the tile sourced directly from Universal (straight from Italy!). No one can beat their service, price, and quality of tiles. We started off at Lowes/Home Depot tiles that looked similar, although we would maybe get 3/4 of the box that were true/straight, and the rest of the tiles would be unusable as the corners would be turned.

We purchased roughly 12,000 to 14,000sq/ft for the entire project. We never received a single bad tile from these guys, and everyone from the warehouse, delivery drivers, to the people that work inside are all very very knowledgeable about their products, and most importantly value their customers!

Great selection of tile everything in stock which is great and very reasonable on there prices.

My wife and I were looking for old-fashioned 4X4 white tile. The service was so spectacular you would've thought we were looking for $10/ a square foot stuff. The sales person, whose name I didn't get, showed us a discontinued line that was.50 cents a square foot. It was a vey well made Italian tile with a great reputation. We bought it and the warehouse people we picked it up from, in the back of the store, were so polite and helpful I thought I went back in time to the 60s.

Forget Home Depot and Lowes. Just skip them and go straight to Universal Tile. You will not regret it. Oh, and BTW, I don't know anyone there and have no connection to then what so ever

What a selection. Without the help from the staff, I wouldn't have known where to start. With their patience and expertise in matching and designing, my kitchen tile is more than I could have ever asked for! We are so incredibly happy! Two kitchens and a bathroom redone by Universal and will use them for all future projects! Great price points for every budget.

Shout out to Tony, he made my day! Super knowledgeable and friendly. He helped me find the perfect tile for my custom bathroom project. Store has a variety of products and nice atmosphere. Overall a good business that cares about its customers.

My contractor recommended this place to me for my bathroom renovation. I didn't know anything about tile and the wide selection in the showroom was a bit overwhelming. Fortunately, the saleslady was very knowledgeable and helpful. She helped me narrow down the possibilities by budget and preferred color scheme, making the process efficient and relatively painless.

In the end, I got floor, shower, and accent tiles I'm very happy with and although I went over budget, the price was still reasonable. I do have a very minor quibble: the sample tiles they give you to take home are actual size and they can be quite heavy. There's no little sample size tile so if you're the indecisive type, bring muscle with you.
