Showroom is great, they have a bunch of sample decks you can look at that have been in the sun so you know what your going to get ina couple of years. Derek Robinson helped me out over there and made it easy. Ordered and delivered in under 10 days.

I thought my deck project would have to wait another year. After attempts to work with the big box stores I found RMFP. Justin took interest in making my project work. He presented composite choices, sent pictures and pricing, and I ended up with something I liked even better, and the whole project is now affordable. All my decking material is now in my driveway and I'm over the top pleased to be having my deck built!

I am not a contractor, but a consumer who has never before dealt with the intricacies of working with 4 neighbors to replace about 240 feet of decrepit, 45 year-old common cedar fencing. It is not a particularly fun process, even when everyone involved gets along. All of the planets have to align just so in order to get everyone on board for agreeing on style, materials, and sharing the expense at the same time!

I have been wanting to do it ever since we moved in 25+ years ago, but only now have achieved consensus among all neighbors surrounding our house! It also gets complicated when some contractors insist on being paid directly for materials, when the safer, and often cheaper, bet is to buy them directly, and pay a competent installer for his labor. That way, if the contractor's account is garnished for back child-support, credit-card debt, or whatever, you still get the materials for which you've paid a LOT of money. (These days, $25-30/foot for premium cedar, including concrete, steel posts, etc.) It gets downright unpleasant when, even if they will "let" you buy the materials directly, they insist on using ring-shanked nails, even if you prefer to pay more for screws to fasten pickets to rails, said by many experts (not all) to be the superior method. Chris Williams (principal contact, exceptionally professional and helpful), Gabriel Macias (patiently walked me around yard in driving snow, full of helpful advice), and all others with whom I have dealt at Rocky Mountain Forest Products could not have been more courteous, accommodating, and helpful.

They have been quite helpful in identifying the most suitable premium materials for the project, the number of each component required for the job, and in achieving the best possible price. To avoid possible disappointment with consistency or quality, BUY PREMIUM, as RMFP will exchange out bad PREMIUM pieces, if any are delivered. Their consistent professionalism and patience made the already unpleasant-at-best process much LESS unpleasant.

They were also very helpful in identifying a skilled, reliable contractor willing to install the materials I have purchased, who warrants his work for 5 years, much longer than usual. Once the installation is complete next month, I will update this review.

Ryan helped me from the very beginning and the entire process could not have been easier. I didn't need much lumber at all but that didn't seem to change the way that I was treated, very well! The lumber cost was half of that from Lowes or Home Depot and the quality seemed better! The customer service was great from beginning to end. This was my first experience with Rocky Mountain Forest Products and I will definitely be using them again in the future!

Great quality of products. Good service. The yard can be busy but that is nothing different from anywhere else. If it's busy, they must be good.
