Good people and stand behind their work. I've used them on many houses, always on time, clean and professional.

My experience with Celestine was not positive and I wanted to see what your thoughts were about the situation and just let you know for reference purpose what my experience was like. After I had purchased my stone Rich came and gave me a quote for the work to be done in my kitchen and claimed if everything looked good with the quote he would get it done quickly.

I gave a thumbs up. He said he would be able to get it in the following week. I got the quote and approved the work for the countertops and paid the required 70% down payment. After that took place I never received a phone call from Rich to set anything up. I waited a week and called to ask about making plans and he said he would get back to me by the end of the day and give me a date and time but never called.

There were many other occasion when I would call him after waiting to hear back from him and he would just say probably sometime next week. I went on a few fires so had to turn over the issue to my dad or girlfriend. He kept telling them both different things and was making excuses as to why it was taking so long such as " the granite chips really easily when cutting it so it is taking a lot longer".

He told them no later than such and such day multiple times then would change it. He told my dad Monday, more than a month after the down payment, and my dad agreed and said if he wasn't there at eight he wouldn't stop calling him. I ended up coming home from a fire that Monday and was able to go over to my place and wait two hours for rich to show up then another hour or so for his workers to show up.

I went to look at the work the following day and everything looked good except for one of the seems looked as though there was no thought of the transition between the two pieces(picture at the bottom). I had talked to rich, after the counter was finished, about using the left over granite for another project and said he would let me know what we could do with it.

After I saw the seam and how bad the transition was I talked to him and told him how unhappy I was with it and asked if there was enough left over that might make a better transition and he claimed there was nothing left but tiny scraps and that a 50 square foot counter is very difficult to template and make good transitions out of a 55 square foot slab.

I could agree with that but went home and remeasured everything and it was approximately 41 square feet. I found that to be a strange thing to not tell the truth about and am left to wonder what happened to the left overs. Rich said he would go back and put some granite enhancer on to try to darken up the light area to make a better transition but it made no difference.

We recently remodeled our entire home through Celestine Stone Tile. (Kitchen, 3 bathrooms-tile/slab, BBQ and our fireplace.) Richard was our sales rep and he was extremely professional. Their prices are very competitive, their shop is state of the art, the quality of work is outstanding and they treated us as if we were family. Knowing that they do not subcontract their work and that they are a local company made us feel very comfortable as well in choosing to go with them.

They were also able to sell us remnants for a couple of our bathroom counters which saved us a lot of money. We have referred many of our friends to Rich and he has taken great care of all of them. If you have a remodel, Celestine Stone Tile is the place to go. Thanks Rich, we love our kitchen!
