This business is frustrating. I contacted them once to find out the status of my order as it was delayed. No response. Now that I got my order, it's wrong. I contacted them again to fix it. Again, no response and it's been since last week. Customer support is severely lacking.

Very helpful staff, usually have anything you need for your lighting needs and if not they'll get it for you.

Bad customer service! Don't buy from Them I called in advanced to make sure ahead of time what will be the ETA for delivery They said 5 days! I'm already in my 10th day and it didn't arrive I called and they said it was shipped only a day ago and they don't know why It was shipped after more days than it was suppose to arrive! I'm A contractor and it caused me a huge delay!

Great experience! Quick ship of items ordered and when I reported one was broken and sent a picture, they handled the situation perfectly.

I ordered sylvania night lights and it was 50 bucks for 1. On the description it said case pack of 6. So I thought it was for 6 lights. And no it was only 1 light. This light sells only for 13 dollars at home depot. Why is gods name would you charge 50dollars. You're a rip off you don't even deserve any rating.

I ordered a light on 3/10/21 and the packing slip shows it was printed on 4/6/21. I called today, 8/24/21 to find out how to return the light because now that the construction is finally done on the room, we determined that the light is too large for the space. I explained that we had trouble with contractors coming to finish the work and it took months longer than it was supposed to.

The woman on the phone said the light can not be returned and cited a 60 day return policy. I asked if an exception could be ade because it is very common knowledge that covid has delayed everything as far as contractors go and the light is still wrapped in plastic and in the original packaging and box. I also asked how I was supposed to know about this 60 day policy becuase the packing slip does not indicate this.

The statement about returns says, "Return eligibility is at the discretion of Lighting Supply and is subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% of the purchase price and any freight costs." It appears that they just don't allow for returns no matter what. Terrible service especially in times like this. Buyer beware! Even Home Depot is accepting returns for 6 months from the date of purchase due to the back log for contractors. It's bad enough we've had our home torn apart for this long, now we can't even recover the money from this light to buy one that will fit where we want it.

Great shop for those hard to find pieces. Many rare vintage parts, new and old lighting fixtures, replacement parts for lamps, switches, connectors, and anything you may need lighting or electric. Super helpful & kind staff, all around cool place.

I bought a spiral light bulb in December 2019. I called an electrician when on/off switch stopped working. Electrician determined bulb was not good. I called to request a refund and was told there is a 60 day return policy. Regardless of return policy a light bulb should last longer than 8 months!

Bought an item online and had the option of picking up in store. Website checkout did not say that it was out of stock (later found out I received an email about this but it was in my spam folder). I showed up and they said the part was not in stock but they agreed to ship to me this one time because of the mixup. Appreciate the great customer service and communication.

This is my first visit to this supply co., but it won't be my last! The staff on the phone and in person were extremely pleasant and helpful. The prices were reasonable and they had exactly what I needed. My only regret is that I wish I had known about this company years ago!

Unethical, shady practices. Yesterday I found Atlas PFL126LED light for good price on their website at ~$380 apiece. I called them and ordered 8. They took credit card info and confirmed order was placed. I never saw a email receipt so I call them today. They say a "security check" on my card failed and indicated it was declined and only way to continue with the order was a wire transfer.

They say you can still place the same order. I tell them to send me wire instructions and I will do that. They seemed surprised but sent instructions along with an updated quote - not expected - with a price over $100 more apiece than less than 24 hours ago. They told me original quote and price was still good on the phone. So I check website and suddenly it has the price at over $100 apiece also.

So I checked with my credit card company and they never attempted any transactions let alone decline any. They are flat out lying to get out of honoring price and sale, and well as manipulating the purchase process. I will be doing a BBB compliant.

Another electric supplier referred me here when they did not have the hard-to-find halogen lamp socket that I needed. The staff person I talked to, Brenda, was extremely friendly and extremely helpful. I didn't know what to even call what I was looking for so she let me email her a photograph of it and then online I could look at the two different, similar sockets she found to get an exact match.

This all happened about 3:30 one afternoon, and since they had it in stock I was able to get my much needed part In a little over an hour. (It took that long because I lived 40 minutes away from the store.) Back to sewing Covid19 masks with enough light for my old eyes to see! Thank you, thank you, Brenda! Thank you, Lighting Supply!

Excellence in customer service! I placed an order for a full case of Christmas lights. The next day, I received an email indicating that due to demand, there would be a delay in shipping these lights (10-14 business days) and suggested that I call to see if there is a similar product that they may be able to get to me sooner. I called and was immediately connected with Britney.

She looked but did not initially see a good alternative, so I decided to cancel the order. Five minutes later, she called me back saying that she was able to locate two different alternatives; one of which ended up working out well. I sincerely appreciate that she took ownership of the issue to try to find a product that would work for my needs. Thanks, Britney, for going the extra mile and finding a great alternative!

They don't do enough to care about customer satisfaction. Website listed the size of the shade. As I have since learned, it's the fitter size that really matters and they didn't list the fitter size. As the fitter is the piece of information that actually matters, one could assume the size is the fitter. But it wasn't and I ended up with a shade far too small.

They charge twice for shipping. And they don't even care enough to find out the relevant information for the customer. The guy on the phone said I could have called them. How do I know I need to call them in case their shade will be too small? They're the experts, not me. They said I could return it, but the cost of shipping would be almost the cost of the shade (they won't refund the two shipping charges despite their failure to provide adequate information). So now I have a useless piece of glass that cost me $37. What a waste.

Great stock of hard to find lighting. I needed a flush mount fixture under a 2 inch height. Found Lighting Supply when searching on Google. Ordered the fixture at about 330 pm on a Friday and it was at my home by 330 pm Monday! And to top it off, the price was excellent. Even after the shipping charge, the price was cheaper than the comparables at Lowe's or Amazon.

This company is a rip off. They hot me. I ordered an $4.50 item. They first showed to be no shipping cost, but at the end before you complete your transaction, they slip a &27.00 shipping in at the last second. So I paid $34.00 on a $4.50 item. This is total rip off. At that price I should be able to ship it to Antarctica. No I live in Washington state.

I know we are up here in the northwest. But come on. I would ask no one ever do business with this company. What are they shipping it via drone. Come on America don't let these companies get away with this crap. You see what happened to United. Let's shut down all companies that do this to us hard working Americans.

This is the best place around to find rare bulbs and lighting components. The staff was able to answer all my questions and help me determine what I needed for my garage project. I ended up with a T8HO setup which has turned out to be plenty of light for my garage. I highly recommend this company especially if you aren't sure exactly what you need to buy as they can answer your questions.

Discovered these guys thanks to the magic of Google. Was looking for a lighting supplier. They have extensive inventory, super fast delivery, and they know how to pack lights so that you can ship them a long way and they arrive in good condition. Prices are good, too.

Needed fixtures for my basement. Found some great fixtures at much better pricing than the big box stores. They also educated me about fluorescent light bulbs and at my request turned them on from the mid to top range in price. They have all the bulbs lined up in a row on the wall to show you the brightness. I was surprised at the huge difference in light & price.

I stopped in a couple times before making a purchase. They spent quite a bit of time with me and were NOT pushy. Ended up we needed an additional fixture and I went back. They did not have my originals, but had something similar at a higher price. The boss gave me a discount but it still cost a bunch more for the additional fixture. It worked out and everyone compliments us on our fixtures. Oh, and they offered to load everything in my car without me having to ask :

This lighting supply is tucked away on Northend in Oak Park. They are open to the public and has the best prices around on your lighting needs. They serve a lot of commercial clients. However being open to the public you get the best prices on all kind of light bulbs. I always go here for my florescent bulbs, recessed lamps and those new coiled bulbs that has replaced the old style of light bulbs, the customer service is top notch, no to very little wait and a very knowledgeable staff.

I am all bout buying local, yes I could go to home depot and walk a mile from the parking lot and another mile to find light bulbs and then stand in a long line behind some guy with with 40 pieces of knotty wood that the cashier scans one by one, or I can go to the Lighting Supply Company park feet from the door get in and out, support a local small business and get back home! Support Small Business!
