This review involves my experience which some might find spooky. But dear yelper read on (fair warning: not for the faint of heart --you can skip this and read the next review) So It was a Saturday when after finishing all my morning chores I decided to go to this place and get some bags of soil for my succulents. I am told they have sell it cheaper but the catch is u have to shovel your own soil.
I found the idea as an adventure and so I drove here. The place is easy to find and for a 1st timer, the shop is the only building u see after passing the gate. There as u enter are merchandise and a wall with shovels. You go to the counter and tell the guy it's your first time and he will tell u which soil u would need the instructions on where to go and what to do.
You tell them how many bags u want (I just needed three) and so on. I was told which soil I would need and then a direction on where to find my type of soil. I grabbed my bags, a shovel and drove to the place. There are mounds of every type of rocks, soils and gardening chips or mulch in the place. I found my area and parked about 20 paces from the mound.
I was the only one there and started shoveling. I filled my bag and decide to put it in the trunk of my car. I put my hand On the door handle it felt wet and When I looked it was all bloodied up. I was shocked for a second and thought that I probably cut myself off from carrying the bag so I check the bag and there was no blood on it. I checked my fingers for a cut and even poured alcohol on my hand just to check if I hurt myself but there was nothing.
I checked the shovel, nothing and then the doorhandle and there was no residue of blood in there which was totally weird. I was the only one in the area and was totally spooked so I decided to drive right next to the mound and finished up as fast as I can checking if there was someone else there. After I filled all my three bags I went to the office to pay and told the person from the counter of what happened and asked him if this weird stuff ever happened before.
He said things happen. I kid u not. It is soooo weird. Soil is cheaper coz of the labor. Come for the experience? -- you decide. So Why did I not just leave? I figured it was too early to be scared --- i needed coffee.

Good selection and helpful staff. I've been there several times for both bagging rocks myself and ordering for delivery. My trick is to bring a water container to pour over the rocks to bring out the color, especially for boulders like Jasper but also smaller pebbles like pami or pixie. It gets dusty there, like all rock yards. Another suggestion if using the scale with your vehicle, call the main number with your phone if they don't notice you. Don't honk. That's just rude. They take your cars weight, then load up some boulders and go back to the scale for the new reading.

Come here if you are a healthy construction worker or you have at least two people. Instead of having a worker scoop the rocks into the bag for you they just provided you large shovels. They didn't even want to help you load the heavy bags into the trunk for me. Terrible experience. I think there will be someone pass out or break they back while doing all the heavy work themselves at their worksite and the shop will have to responsible for all the injuries. If you don't have enough workers then please don't run the business.

I've looked at a few places in the area for my materials and I've concluded that nobody has a more helpful staff than U-Save. Prices have been the best on materials and delivery, as far as I've seen. They offer good service, good prices, and plenty of options. My only feedback: Please post some information on your website regarding pricing! I feel your staff is very patient with calls about pricing, but if you had some information on your website, I (we) would be able to do the math ourselves and expedite things. That being said I have very much appreciated your staff and their patience with calls of that nature.

First rockery I have ever been to, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but will talk about my first impressions here. + enough variety where we got our landscaping needs fulfilled + front desk guy was really helpful with giving insight into how many tons of rocks we would need - place is a little run down - always felt like I would be mowed over with their workers in the vehicles they used to grab rocks. SLOW DOWN GUYS! -- we asked for delivery and the rocks were literally dumped at the front with half spilling into the street (luckily we don't live on a main road or else this would have been really bad). We'll be spending this evening shoveling rocks off the street and into our front lawn area where we asked the guy to drop them off. He literally dumped the rocks and drove off.forget checking in if everything was good to go. If I ever had to get more rocks, I would probably check out another place.

This is a great place! Reasonable pricing and quick service. Bring a work truck and they can drop anything into your bed. Need a Boulder for decoration or a garden focal point? They have that too. Quality of stones and pavers are top notch. The quality and service you get here would dictate a high premium price, but here you get great reasonable prices! Will remain a dedicated customer due to their service and price.

While everyone is giving them 1 to 3 stars, I'm giving them place 5 stars. Reason why I decided to give this place a try even though some reviews were scary was because they are closer to me than Payless Nursery. First, I didn't expect any customer service from this place. I mean come on, it's just a place that sells rocks right? I was wrong.
The ladies in the front counter were friendly. They greeted me and asked what I wanted. I told them what I wanted and paid. End of that. Second, after paying for the rocks the ladies dispatched the bulldozer drivers outside. Yes, I waited maybe about 5 minutes before a bulldozer came out; but there were also other customers there to get their rocks loaded.
I made 3 trips this past Saturday and each trip I had a different guy/driver that loaded my truck with rocks. They were all very cool. Greeted me and one of them even apologized for making me wait a few minutes. But the 3 drivers that did help me were friendly. Did a small chit chat with them. I wanted to load 1 cu yd of rocks and they highly recommended I do 1/2 a cu yd at a time since I had a smaller Toyota truck.
Now what type of service is that? They actually cared about my truck! That's awesome! Rather than load 1 full yard they put 1/2 in. Great guys, great company, and I will for sure to come back again and get more rocks for my landscape!

If you are landscaping and ready to put the work in- here is a great place to start! Everyone I have interacted with has been really helpful and it is very easy going. I have bought multiple types of rocks from here and done several landscape home projects. You can use one of their bags and shovel and fill up on rocks or sand. Or for larger projects bring a truck and they will fill up the bed. No truck? If you are relatively close it isn't a problem. I had 3 tons of sand delivered to my house for a reasonable fee.

Very good team to work with! They are easy to work with! You go inside and tell them what you need. They help you quickly get a quote and set up a time to bring you the rocks. I've used them more than once and they have been very good! They are much much cheaper than Home Depot for rocks too! Their local business deserves some good recognition!
People need to come see for themselves. I also like how they have displays of rock for you to check out inside the store or you can go out side to their field that's right outside and walk around to see the loads of rocks if your a big visual person and need to go walk on the rocks and see big quantities

WOMEN DO NOT GO HERE WITHOUT AN ESCORT. I was assaulted there today. Even with video footage, the owner (A WOMAN) wouldn't refuse the business of Tran--a regular. Scariest day of my life. I find it telling AND disturbing that the women reviewing this business are the demographic with the most horror stories. SHAME ON YOU

Thank a is my favorite place to get landscaping soil, compost, wood chips and rocks. Mostly because it is so close to where I live. I love the different types of flagstones the provide. Some of the natural designs and colors that occur on the rocks look like impressionist paintings. It is truly amazing to consider the colors took thousands of years to create on mother nature's palette.
The staff are very helpful and will help explain how you can quickly gather and load your purchase. I think it is a pretty fair price to pay for the items, though you can potentially get similar items cheaper if you are willing to drive to a business farther away.

I called around to get 12 tons of base rock and 2 yards if sand for my Paver project. U-Save came in at almost $60 less them the competitors. They gave me a time frame of 4 hours and showed up well within the time frame. The driver was super cool and put my 2 loads where I asked him to. Over a great experience, I highly recommend them.
