Marshall is very nice and I even referred him business, which they bought shades as well. I spent a large amount of money with him, did my entire house. However, when I asked for a black out shade, I don't think their measuring is quit right - it has large gap that lets a ton of light in - I also got told that the plantation shutters are the best - however what a waste of money! Don't do the shutters - they let in so much light - they don't seem to not fit correctly as well - so know I have to spend more money to get drapes as well.

Not happy. When I asked about it they said it's just the windows - and they can't fix it. Same with black out shade. I have had plantation shutters in another house and they fit like a glove little to no light in - not happy. Especially after all money spent in entire house and pretty much tough deal with it. Now spending more money to fix it w someone else

Marshall and his entire staff are wonderful to work with! Marshall is very knowledgeable, and when I shared what aesthetic and color family I wanted for shades, he gave the perfect recommendation. The shades took 8 weeks; right on time with estimate window given (8-12) due to supply chain / manufacturing. Pat, our installer, was fantastic. Efficient, skilled, and super nice. Cynthia at the store is also wonderful. Everyone is highly responsive, friendly, and professional. Thank you for making our home beautiful!

Marshall and his staff are very professional. Each time they met with us they listened to what I wanted and and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. The installer was also very professional, and cleaned up after himself. I have used Gallery of Shades for several projects and each time I am amazed at the level of service.

Purchased 11 shades over a year ago. Had trouble with two of them so called for help recently. Marshall came quickly to my home to investigate and sent the misbehaving shades back to Hunter Douglas. Don't know if they were repaired or replaced, but they're good now. I appreciated this prompt, free attention and service.

Melissa and Marshall were wonderful to work with. They showed us a variety of options and were able to recommend what they thought would work best in our home. Their customer service and follow through were amazing. We have received so many compliments on our window treatments. I can not say enough good things about gallery of shades. I called to have an estimate for our master. The drapes we're going to be very large (12 ft by 14 ft). I called and the person who answered the phone was very nice and made an appointment for Marshall (the owner) to come out for an estimate. I explained I have a baby and needed him to come around her naptime. He arrived on time but when I told him what I needed he seemed to lose interest.

He appeared to want to do window treatments for the whole house but I had told the receptionist it was for only the master. He took measurements and told me he would get back to me in 24 hours. It has been over a week and I haven't heard anything. The project was supposed to cost between 3-5k but I guess that wasn't enough money for them?

These days every single person is busy and trying to schedule people to come out for even an estimate requires arranging a portion of their day. If a project was too small for them the least they could do is let the customer know it isn't something they are interested in doing.

Marshall did an excellent job of helping me select the best shade for a sliding door. Delighted that the color matches my walls perfectly. Melissa followed up with phone calls and emails to ensure I knew what to expect throughout the process. Pat installed the shade perfectly. I am very happy with the professional service as well as the quality of the product.

Amazing company to work with! Even though I had a smaller job, they treated me as if I had a huge order. They worked closely with me to tell me what I needed and they got the job done quickly. They communicated well with when they would be out to measure and install. Great product options to chose from too! You won't go wrong using Gallery of Shades!

Can't say enough good things about this company. They really helped us navigate our style options with new shutters and helped us find a shutter product that works perfectly for our home of tall/odd sized windows. Service was great, value is exceptional. Installers were very friendly and the experience was stress free. They even matched our custom colors with ease. I would assign zero stars if possible. Gallery of Shades came highly recommended. Marshall came and measured for shades for our entire home. This visit took over an hour of time for my husband and myself. Marshall seemed to be thorough. He promised estimates within a few days. After a week had passed, I called and spoke to Melissa (I had NO idea they were husband and wife.

There was a disconnect in communications)) and explained I was still waiting on my estimate. She said my estimate would take a few more days since they were getting bids from several companies. Again, another week passed and STILL NOTHING! I called again and explained that I was still waiting for my estimate. Marshall then called promptly and left a message saying that they can't even bid on our job because they are so busy.

He was "sorry" if this caused any inconvenience. (Really?!). This was most UNPROFESSIONAL. If Gallery Of Shades was too busy to take on my job, why didn't they say so before wasting my time and not getting back to me?

I couldn't be happier with Gallery of Shades! Marshall came to my house to do the consult with a designer, provided a very fair and reasonable estimate, came back to do final measurements and confirm colors/styles, and then we had them installed within 2 weeks! They are very high quality and look great! Marshall could not have been kinder or more thorough.

He was incredibly professional, responsive, and flexible. We had guests coming in and they accommodated our crazy request to have them installed before our guests arrived : Our house looks GREAT!

The owner, Marshall, provided very competitive prices and service much superior to the service I'd been receiving from two other shade stores I'd contacted (he quickly researched answers to my questions and was able to set an almost immediate appointment to come to my home to measure, neither of which was happening with the two others). Then, when one shade was not a great fit, he quickly ordered and installed a replacement. Good people at this establishment!

I scheduled an appointment with Melissa to meet with Marshall to discuss window treatments for our sliding glass walls in a new home now being built. My husband and I spent a few minutes explaining what we needed and it seemed as if he lost interest when he discovered we wouldn't need window coverings for the entire home. It would have been about a four thousand dollar job, but we felt as if we got the bum's rush out the door with a promise from Marshall to contact us with a complete quote within 24 hours.

Now almost 2 weeks later, we have heard nothing from him. Rude and unprofessional behavior. We had wanted to give our business to a small local company, but they blew it. Maybe the larger companies may be the better way to go. Look elsewhere for your window covering needs.

Here is a follow up to my review from earlier this year. Gallery of Shades has been wonderful in dealing with a problem I've had with some of my large shades. They made sure the manufacturer resolved the issues for me. Customer service has been excellent when dealing with Gallery of Shades. They promptly communicate with me & have worked to resolve my issues. If you're on the fence about which business to utilize I strongly recommend using Gallery of Shades for both pricing & service.

We have used Gallery of Shades for three separate projects. Marshall is extremely thorough in explaining options and understanding what the customer wants and needs. This is a fantastic locally owned company. The installation was impeccable with not a speck of dust left behind. All the shades fit perfectly, look superb, and operate smoothly. After 6 months one of the Hunter Douglas motorized shades stopped working. Marshall was out the morning after I called and fixed the problem. We agreed we needed another relay which he offered to come back and set up.

I am a bit of a techie so I said just mail me one. It came in 2 days. I love working with smaller but competent companies with efficient service. These days such critters are exceedingly rare. Gallery of Shades is one for sure.

It's difficult to reach a live person at this place. I've called a few times and always get a voicemail. Probably not a good sign. If I can't reach someone now, how difficult would it be to reach someone in the future for repair or warranty issues. Hopefully, you will have better success. I'll calling someone else for my shades.

Got blinds for our small business and was extremely pleased with the craftsmanship & timely install. Selection was mind boggling - many choices- but Melissa helped make great recommendations & explained the 'why' very clearly. The team was super to work with & I felt like my business needs mattered to them. Very fairly priced & great experience. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

I have had a truly fantastic experience with Gallery of Shades. I knew I wanted Hunter Douglas window treatments and I found them through the Hunter Douglas website. I really liked that the owner came to my house with the sample books and that they do the measurements and install themselves. I ordered new shades for all my windows. The prices were competitive and the service outstanding.

I just wanted to give Marshall ( owner ), congrats on the fine job he did on a very large set of pocket doors. I found Gallery of Shades from a recommendation ( friend ), my friend told me about Marshall how he goes to all shows for his industry and is always updating. My wife and I called Marshall out to the house, he was prompt, prepared and very knowledgable, we order are blinds from Marshall and was pleasantly surprised to find that Marshall also does his own installs, I found that I like the idea of not only taking the measurement he installs as well.
