Services
Stone Art Memorial Company's roots can be traced to the 1850s with the Limestone Hill Granite Company that was located at our Ridge Road location. At that time, this area was known as Limestone Hill and was part of West Seneca. In the 1880s the original location was taken over as a branch office of the McDonnell & Sons Granite Company headquartered in Buffalo near Forest Lawn Cemetery.
When grieving death, memorialization - taking the time to honor the life of a loved one in a meaningful way, and remembering the difference a loved one made in our lives can be an important step in the journey toward healing. Today, memorialization is so much more than it used to be. It can be a personal experience that reflects the personal value, interests and experiences of our loved ones and helps those who are left behind to remember those who matter most.It is transformative, healing, and comforting.
At Stone Art Memorial, we have an unwavering commitment to quality. It starts with the materials we use. As Erie County's exclusive partner with the Rock of Ages Corporation of Barre Vermont, the world's leading granite quarrier and memorial manufacturer, we use only the finest granite available anywhere in the world.

I ordered an updated date to my MIL's stone in 7/19/2021, payment received by them 7/31/2021. When I called to check the status of the work I was advised "it's near the end of their season and it won't be completed until 2022." After some general searches to see the timeline for a date to be added in areas with winter the general consensus is 30-60 days.

This delay is very frustrating and was NOT communicated until I asked. Nowhere on the contract is it noted that there are such huge delays, nor did it indicate it would be done next year. Essentially it's an interest-free loan to them. The woman in the phone had zero compassion and was in a rush to get off the phone. While we don't live there still our families do. We will not recommend Stone Art Memorial and will share our poor experience.

We asked to see what 2 of their stone options would look like. They said they would send a picture of what they would look like so we could choose between the 2 templates. They said it would take 6-8 weeks for the templates to arrive. EIGHT MONTHS later, we receive a piece of mail from the company. Inside, 2 of the exact same design with the same product number at the bottom of the sheet.

Now the deceased's family is to choose from 2 of the same choice after months of waiting for a measly printed png with a name and dates typed out. Frankly disrespectful. I wish I could give 0 or negative stars.

Work with their staff on a regular basis top notch. This company does 95 percent of the monuments at the cemetery I run.

My mother's grave is still waiting to be engraved 4 months after we buried her. The lady on the phone couldn't have seemed less interested in figuring out when it would be done. As a matter of fact, she actually seemed quite annoyed by the fact I even asked. "It rained" may be the entirely acceptable answer as to why they are backed up, which would be understandable.

But a simple "I'm sorry for the hold up" would go miles for grieving families who don't want long winded explanations. Just assure me it will be done and don't be rude. This is the final thing our family needs to finish to finally be done with this whole mess. TLDR: they are backed up, but don't question when the work will be done, because they don't know and they resent that you even asked.

Well you know what it's about. The people are fabulous. The stone art just beautiful. Alton it's a sad time as for the reason being there ads ads customer, we feel somehow comforted. You can design your own stone to your specs. There's nothing they won't produce/build for you. Just visit the for the heck of it.
