Over the decades, Oneida Sales and Service has taken on many different business activities and services. Oneida President and Owner, Fred Saia, started the business in 1974. Oneida began as an HVAC and garage door installation contractor for Sears and Roebuck. The business later evolved into residential fence installation, redi-mix concrete supply, and trucking services provider.
Oneida is currently a minority business leader in Western New York's growing construction industry focusing on services in environmental abatement and select demolition.

When construction contractors find asbestos or other hazardous materials on a project site, it brings all work to a halt, which wastes time and money. Through our work with various other contractors in the Western New York area, Oneida witnessed the need for a specialized subcontractor with not only experience in environmental abatement, but also the certifications to handle it safely.
Often demolition jobs and environmental abatement go hand in hand. Typically when environmentalnhazards are encountered on the job site everything comes to a halt. Oneida is able to smoothly handle these obstacles, and keep projects moving forward, by having both Environmental Abatement and Selective Demolition divisions within the same company.
While Oneida mostly supplies redi-mix products to the local Western New York region, we do have the capacity to work on projects throughout New York State, including New York City. We are a New York State certified MBE and a certified federal DBE company. Our experienced drivers are members of the local Teamsters union and all our trucks are serviced and repaired in house by a team of experienced mechanics to insure they meet all safety and environmental standards.
Safety has been a struggle for construction companies since time immemorial. Construction work is hard on the body with a high risk for injuries. Nationally, the construction industry accounts for 4% of the workforce and 21% of workplace fatalities. As members of the Western New York construction community for the past 43 years, Oneida takes these statistics seriously and is constantly working to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
