These guys are first class professionals from the sale to the install and a pleasure to do business with. They built me a top quality solar retractable sun shade and when finished, installed it in a matter of of a couple of hours. The west facing side of our patio is now very usable as the sun gets low on the west horizon and our home is very much cooler as the sun is no longer glaring in 18 feet of sliding glass doors leading to the patio. Thanks guys, definitely money well spent and I highly recommend them!

We had an excellent experience, couldn't ask for much more. The sales person was prompt, professional and explained the whole process, took the measurements and had us select Color and Materials. The job was scheduled and completed professionally and the expected quality was apparent. Left the site clean and the Sun Shades ready to Use. You can be confident with this company and the employees we encountered.

Extremely dissatisfied with JD who planned my job. When installers arrived I received a call that a piece of the angle iron ended up not being manufactured and they wouldn't be able to fully complete my job. I would have to wait at least another week. Decided during planning to replace an older model power shade with new based on JDs recommendation. JD said that one would be easy, remove and replace new. Installers can't figure out how to run power through old access points and now have to put ugly conduit on the outside by the track.

Lesson learned. Love the product but don't trust JD and his used car approach. Ask more questions. Won't ever use them again! Update: After the fiasco of not having the required items to finish our install as scheduled we were rescheduled a week and a half later for a window from 9am to 11am. At 1:00 we had not heard a word from them so I made a phone call and received a series of excuses on why they weren't there and we were next on the schedule.

Not even a phone call or a message to say we are running late today and will be there as soon as possible does this still work for your schedule? I would never recommend this company due to their poor customer service and communication. Regardless of the product. Their are competitors that are just as good of quality and maybe even better in customer service. Stay away from Sun Control!

All the great reviews is why we chose this company. Unfortunately, there has been nothing but problem after problem. Yes, they come out and fix what's wrong but the same thing continues to happen. Everything they have said we need to do we have done to make them work accurately. Anytime we have our shades up for more than a few days, no matter what, when we put them down one out of the four is off track.

Last time they came out we were charged a $100 for something that continues to happen. We would like to be able to use our shades without being concerned what is going to happen when we put them up or down.

FANTASTIC service and product! SW Sun Control installed a 12-ft auto-retractable shade with a fitted cover on the side edge of our patio, and the process was perfect start to finish. JD gave us a quick, accurate bid, with no hidden charges, and he did an excellent job of helping us select fabric/housing colors (which complement our stucco even better than we expected from viewing the swatches).

The crew came on schedule, and installation was seamless. We waited several months to write this review, to see how the unit would perform over time, and we're happy to report that it's all working beautifully - the solar-powered motor functions exactly as designed, the remote is strong enough to use indoors or out (even wall-mounted vertically inside the house), and the shade rolls up incredibly smoothly, with no telescoping or other issues.

We absolutely love the product, and it's installed in a location that gives us shade not only on our patio but also at our indoor dining table, which is an excellent bonus. The fabric is great too, allowing the right amount of light and air flow. So happy we chose SW Sun Control, and we highly recommend the whole team!

Would be 5* but the instruction and YouTube videos for setting up the phone control device are not user friendly at all. Even following every step in the videos I still can't control the device. But other than that this is an amazing product and I'm actually thinking of having another side of my patio done. It made the patio a place I can enjoy. It's a great product and if you use the remotes it's easy to set up and control. Highly recommend them just wish they would invest in an easy phone control system or invest in the set up directions a bit more.

The only negative I can say about this purchase/installation dealt with the time it took to fabricate the shade and install it. During covid, there were disruptions to supply lines so this is probably the reason for the longer than, I felt, reasonable delay. Once the installers arrived, I've nothing to say but praise for them; in this regard I would give them a 6 stars if possible.

It was obvious that they were professionals and acted that way. Very efficient installing and demonstrating how everything worked along with caveats about high winds, etc. They made me, as a customer, feel valued. Should I ever need additional shade installations, Sun Control would be the first place I checked. The shade works well on my westward-facing patio and keeps it much cooler in the hot afternoon sun. The style, which the sales person helped us select, is great -- can see through but keeps the heat out too!

Very pleased with the overall experience! No issues at all. All smooth sailing from the start, from measuring, estimate/quote and delivery/installation. Great costumer service follow ups and professional friendly installers, attention to detail and no bs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great experience. They were on-time, efficient and the sun shades are excellent quality and construction. My only complaint was that they didn't clean up and left a lot of metal shavings around. It took a while to clean. Overall, I would definitely recommend them.

This company is genuinely excellent, across the board. The consult, installation, and hardware are all outstanding. The installation crew was professional, polite, and answered all of my questions with authority and knowledge. I cannot recommend Sun Control highly enough - this company sets the high bar for how to run a business successfully. Good work, keep it up!

From the initial phone call to Sun Control, to getting my estimate from Ken Martinson, to having it installed earlier than promised, it has been a wonderful experience! The shade looks beautiful and blocks the direct sun from 3:00 PM to sunset and my house doesn't heat up to 86 degrees anymore! I would recommend this company to anyone that needs shades. Get the remote control! So worth it!
