I was concerned about lead in glass doors and found Artistry in Glass by doing a google search. They had a very informative article on the topic of lead in glass. I saw they included an email address, so I sent emails with pictures of glass doors. They floored me by responding within minutes even though it was late at night! He thoroughly answered my questions about the glass doors and recommended a product to help protect against lead flaking. A+

John helped me create awards for a theater festival here in New York. It was an unusual project for him but he embraced it with passion and professionalism. The result was a beautiful award which captured the spirit of the festival thanks to the meticulous work John did. I just picked my articles at Artistry in Glass, in which they did an amazing job. I had chips on the inside of 4 Waterford Millennium Wine Glasses, which we enjoy using. I was extremely pleased that they removed the chips and with no breakage. Excellent job plus they did the repairs in 3 days. Cannot ask for anything better than that. The total staff are very friendly and cordial. I would recommend them to anyone for any glass or china that needs repairing.

I have never written a review. But I just called John from LA, after watching one of his very helpful videos on youtube. My local reputable company was having difficulties with my mirror installation. John treated me as if I was an old familiar customer. He had nothing to gain, but was extremely kind and patient and most importantly solved the problem! He is obviously a master at what he does and a gentleman as well. I will definitely be using this company for next project even though I am not in the area. Thank you John!

I first found John and his team many months ago when I dropped a decanter stopper and it shattered. The decanter was a golf prize for my husband in a tournament in 1974. John was able to match it very closely and I have my new stopper. Just last week, I brought in a broken antique frosted SF skyline martini glass. John said if I could find two matching plain glasses he would have them frosted/etched. They were ready the next day and are gorgeous. They do fine work and always meet their quoted price. Thank you! I wanted custom engraved champagne glasses for an event. They gave good advice on what kind of glasses to buy for the engraving. After those were delivered they quickly proposed and executed a beautiful design, at reasonable cost. The results were perfect.

My wife and I had a glass heart shaped cake top on our wedding cake 40 years ago. It had 2 small glass bells on it with very intricate designs which had become broken and needed repair. Artistry in Glass did an amazing job at repairing the small glass bells and we now have it back on display in our home. You cannot even tell that it was broken! As a local custom door shop owner, we have worked with Artistry in Glass many times. They are professional, reasonable and very dependable. I wouldn't work with anyone else.

We absolutely love our stained glass window that was designed and installed by Artistry in Glass. We wanted a geometric design in blue and clear glass but were clueless about the details. We came into the shop and picked out some glass we liked but otherwise left the design up to the artist. John Wakefield came out to our home to measure and after chatting with us a bit discovered my husband and I are both physicists with interests in astronomy and cosmology. John came up with an amazing design, incorporating a piece of glass that is suggestive of an elliptical galaxy (triangular section next to blue circle-- black hole!).We were blown away! The project was completed quickly, including efficient and professional installation.

I took an custom stained glass piece, made over 35 years ago, to be repaired. It needed desoldered as well as a change in the frame to accommodate some expansion of the original frame. They did an outstanding job, in the time promised, as well as such a reasonable charge. I can't say enough about the quality of the work, and the friendliness of the people.

Happy just does not even describe the wonderful job this man did for me. Someone else recommended a different crystal repair person. Come to find out he did not even own a shop he wanted me to leave my $650 item with the merchant next door and was talking in the $300 range to repair a broken leg and a missing ear. I found Artistry in Glass who. fixed it in one day.

The bad gentleman who was first recommended to me wanted three months and quoted $150 to $400. John charged me $50 and did the work in one day. Artistry in Glass was wonderful. And the people who own it are just extraordinary to deal with. Highly, highly recommend their skills and their shop!
