RCL Construction

We were so fortunate to be referred to RCL Construction for our primary bath renovation. From the start with the comprehensive bid, to Clay's guidance and recommendations, to working with Gail on logistics, we were so impressed by their level of service and professionalism. Clay and his team do an amazing job. they're highly skilled, pay attention to detail, and are very respectful of your home. Gail is wonderful at tracking all the details (and changes) and maintaining constant communication. In the end, we were thrilled with the results and our project was completed a week early. We'll definitely use RCL Construction for future projects.

This was our third major project with RCL Construction. They renovated Kitchen (09) and two full baths (16). When we decided to remove the carpeting in our family room and den and replace it with tile we opted to go with past success and called RCL Construction. Clay work ethic is excellent. He is very easy to work with, shows up on time every day as scheduled and leaves a clean work space when he leaves each day. Clay had the same tile installer for all three projects. He does an excellent job! We are very pleased with the new flooring.

It's a pleasure to work with Clay and Gail. They have done two projects for us. They remodeled and tiled our master bathroom and bedroom. The second project was tiling our entire downstairs. Over 1,400 sq feet. Both projects exceeded our expectations and we didn't have one thing that needed to be redone. If you need remodeling work done, I would highly recommend RCL Construction. They are simply, THE BEST!

We recently had our master bathroom completely remodeled and we are so extremely happy with out new beautiful bathroom. From the first meeting with Clay until completion we were so impressed! Great communication, offered great suggestions, and answered all of our questions. From start to finish it was such a smooth process and every person to enter our home was so professional and friendly. Gail also communicated with us and provided details of what task would be completed on a weekly basis, so helpful! We are so happy to provide them with a 5 star review and would high recommend them and use RCL Construction again.

These guys are a 5 out of 5 stars. Reliability and fair pricing is the name of the game with Construction companies. I have used several over the years, none better than RCL Construction. Clay and Gail run a very well organized business. They did a very large remodel in my home replacing a lot of flooring, replacing windows, installing new panoramic doors, building and installing built-ins, electrical work, new lighting, some plumbing, etc.

They estimated the job with time lines and they stayed on track. Their communication is always pro-active, honest and respectful. I have other work to do in the next couple of years. I won't call anyone else. We have recommended other friends who are experiencing the same. I am writing this because they are that good!

Excellent work, Rob is a skilled craftsman. Highly recommend. We used Rob for crown mounding and it looks fantastic and held up A++++

We would give them more stars if we could, 5 doesn't seem to do them justice. Gail, at RCL Construction's main office was our first point of contact. She is communicative, knowledgable and very sweet. We would've selected them just for her demeanor and customer service skills. However, cost and quality of work carries a lot more weight when it comes to hiring a contractor. Clay- the General Contractor came by to review all the changes we wanted to execute within a very tight budget.

He was 1 of 3 contractors bidding for the job. His proposal was not only on target (cost-wise) but he was the only contractor willing to re-paint cabinets and offer some viable options to save cost. The other two contractors immediately suggested to replace all the cabinet doors or just replace the entire box/door. Their cost was far above what we wanted to spend, they didn't send us their proposal when they said they would, and were incomplete-- what a disapointment!

It was a no-brainer to move forward with RCL! During the entire process, Clay was prompt, efficient at managing all the moving parts, and gracefully handling all issues and changes that happened during the process. We loved working with Clay and Gail-- and we are already making a list of Round #2 Renovations for them to come do for us.

Over the past 20 years, we have used RCL Construction to remodel 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, re-pipe half the house (a surprise that happened during a bathroom remodel) and the front yard. Let's face it --remodeling can be costly and inconvenient and without a background in construction, it's hard to know if you are hiring the right company. RCL is amazing: professional, timely, high quality, and great communication. Highly, highly recommend!

From start to finish, the process, the work, the professionalism and the daily interaction with RCL was a delight. Gail and Clay run a tight ship, and make sure everything is explained clearly & in detail, starting with a comprehensive bid that details each and every step of the process so you know EXACTLY what to expect. We paid weekly based on completed milestones and the job was done on time. Clay will not overcommit in terms of timelines, is as honest as the day is long, and kept us fully up to speed on progress usually daily.

Could I have found a cheaper contractor? Most definitely. Could I have found one as good and as reliable & professional? Not a chance. Thank you Clay for delivering 2 beautiful new bathrooms and making our home in Dana Point even better!

Bizarre and offensive on the phone but sounded like a child and could have been one of the owner's kids pulling a prank, and I guess it may not reflect the quality of their actual work. Disappointed that I will not be working with them.

RCL construction both Clay and Gail are second to none. They just completed a total remodel of my home in San Clemente and we are very pleased with not only the quality but the over all experience with this company from start to finish. They did a entire house remodel which included a new additional bath, and existing full bath remodel as well as a powder room.

The kitchen which was a 70's vintage is now modern and beautiful. They retextured the walls, painted, added crown molding in all rooms and opened up the stair case. They updated the electrical to code as well as installed a new heating unit and added AC which we did not have. Clay and Gail took us from city permitting (which everyone knows can be a pain) to picking out cabinets, tile, granite, floor tile, appliances, faucets, toilets, sinks, drain plates, paint colors and all.

Now this may give some people a headache but Gail and Clay made it very simple, painless and enjoyable. Now for the rest of the story. This is a second home for us as our primary residence is in El Dorado Hills just east of Sacramento, so you can imagine the trust you have to have in someone, or a company to give them a key and say go to work and let me know if you have any questions.

They stayed in constant contact with us giving us weekly updates on what was accomplished, what the plan is for the following week as well as photos emailed and discussed. Not only was it a quality job but they completed all work on time and in budget. RCL is my go to contractor from now on for any work I need done on our San Clemente home. We wanted a master bedroom and bath remodel. We selected RCL Construction for the work. Good choice. This is a very different contractor! They prepared a detailed contract. We and they stuck to it. They secured the needed Building Permit. They met the city requirements and passed each inspection the first time. They provided a weekly work-completed report and a schedule for the coming week.

They met the schedule every week. The job was completed a few days ahead of the original estimate. This was accomplished because Clay was present to start and guide work every day, and as needed, throughout the day. Our project started with demolition. They used lots of plastic sheeting and tarps for protection. Walls were retextured. Clay did most of the electrical and plumbing work.

It is neat and all works properly. Workmanship on two quartzite slabs for counter tops could not be better. Tile work in the shower and on the floors is the best I have seen--perfection. Cabinetry fit and finish is excellent and is as requested. All crown and baseboard moldings and doors were spray painted --excellent appearance.

How fortunate we are to have chosen RCL for our home remodel. RCL is fantastic! They recently completed a full home remodel construction project on our home in Dana Point. The project included multiple bathrooms (including conversion of tub to shower in one), new windows throughout, new flooring throughout, interior wall removal, new stairs and stair rails, reducing the size of a large beam, two fireplaces, filling in sunken floors, and an entire kitchen remodel.

The subcontractors they use are high quality, friendly, professional and have been working alongside them for over 10 years. The owners, Clay and Gail, are very kind and excellent in their communication all throughout the project. This large project was intimidating to us, but from the beginning they guided us through every step. They also finished our project on time!

To the day to be exact. Wow! From what we've heard from others going through construction/remodel process, forecasting and finishing timely is a rarity. This was extremely impressive considering the scope of our project. We feel very lucky we found them amongst all the other contractors out there. We truly can't recommend them enough!

These guys are awesome! They know what their doing and charge a fair price for it. So glad we were introduced to them and will refer them to everyone we know. Clay ( the owner ) is a master of his trade and is such a nice guy, I bet money you invite him to your next BBQ. I know I did. :-) Thx RCL. You guys are beyond great.

I've now had RCL Construction completely remodel three bathrooms. The first two were in 2006 in my home in Laguna Beach and the third was just completed in my condo in Aliso Viejo. I can't speak highly enough about this company! They are total professionals, super friendly, easy to work with and awesome with communication. Clay is a hands on contractor and the people he has for various aspects of the work are the best. Gail in the office is also really great with communication and fast response time to any question. I am extremely happy with all three bathroom remodels and the latest one looks incredible!
