Rapid Service

I needed a plumber to unhook and reattach my faucets in the kitchen and bathroom as a result of installing new countertops. I was able to call less than a week in advance and get this service scheduled. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. She stayed on top of contacting me about dates/timings. They showed up as scheduled - right date and on time. Professional. Did a high quality job and left the place cleaned up afterwards.

Right from the start, I felt confident in their abilities and trusted I was getting the servicing I was paying for. And just very friendly as well! All around great experience! Will definitely use Rapid Service for my future plumbing needs.

I was one of Rapid Services earliest customers 34 years ago, and recently had them replace a shower valve, rebuild another shower valve and replace the well pressure tank and filter. Their high-quality service and materials are just as good today as they were all those years ago. They did all the plumbing work when I was building the house and everything has held up really well for the last 34 years.

The recent work was all completed in one day, they even stayed late to make sure everything was finished. They were working in three different areas of my home and each location was left as clean or cleaner than when they arrived. I am very pleased with the excellent quality and responsiveness that Rapid Service recently provided and will not hesitate to have them help again with future projects.

Andy came, fit me in as an emergency. Very clean, professional. Gave me an estimate before doing any work. Was knowledgeable and Completed the job in a timely manner. Very pleased. I have been using Rapid Service for years, both personally and at my business, for my plumbing and electrical needs. Andy, Rachel, and the staff are outstanding! They have always gotten to my needs without delay, even when they had already full schedules; they are reasonably priced and have offered service call discounts for ongoing issues; they never try to "sell" me something I don't need; and they are friendly and professional every time! Such a pleasure to work with this amazing group of people; I will never use anyone else for my plumbing or electrical needs. Thanks for all you do!

If you need to call this business that means you are helpless because of an important problem at your house, and you don't know what to do. And they are very well aware of that. That is exactly why they will try to OVERCHARGE you. Be careful. And don't be so nice, if you feel like numbers don't make sense, speak up, worse case pay the 89$ and send them away.

Do not hire them for well service! Watch out for their "diagnostic charges" -- given that it took them 20 minutes to determine why my pump was not running and charged $225, they are effectively billing at $675 per hour to find a failed controller and shorted pump. Their estimate for replacing the well pump and tank (over $8000) was laughably inflated.

I know the cost of the parts and the size of the parts. The tech insisted that the entire system would need to be replumbed to accommodate the brand they wanted to use, even though other brands would have fit easily. The experience felt like a shakedown from scam artists. You can do much better by hiring authentic pump experts.

Technician arrives and instantly was saying there's a lot more that has to be done here, then starts adding other work. Then before giving me a number, he says that would be an $89 charge. The individual that I spoke to on the phone mentioned nothing about a charge, and when I told the technician that, he told me that the person he speaks to at the office said that during my phone call I wouldn't give him my information.

Which is a total and complete lie. Seems to me that rapid service is a rip-off company that tries to add on extra work and a technician that arrived was disrespectful unprofessional, and I hope no one ever chooses to even call this place as they are a waste of time

Wonderful! Rachel may be the best dispatcher I've interacted with. The service techs (Ozzy and Andy) were absolutely professional and friendly. They showed up on time, provided a fair quote and did amazing work in and completed quickly. Honestly, this is the best plumbing service I've seen in a good while.

A very pleasant surprise! I enjoyed Eggs Benedict and shared a delicious pastry with my daughter and her boyfriend. So much more than just coffee.

Rachel in the office is great at getting back to you to schedule service. And Andy and Ozzie are not only great at what they do, they provide you education and knowledge about your systems.

Because of the information Ozzie provided to me years ago, I was able to know when my well pump was falling apart and would need replacement instead of the situation becoming an emergency. I'm very greatful for this knowledge. If you are looking for plumbing, electrical or heating work/repairs this should be your go-to company. Hands down.

I have been using Rapid service for years. I called about my water heater. And they were able to come the next morning and replace it that same day. Ozzie is always honest about what is needed. Buyer beware. Look elsewhere for service. Rapid service incorrectly installed a water heater for me only 4 years ago that already failed. I paid 2x what I should have then. Even though the water heater is warranteed by the manufacturer, they will not stand by their work when questioned about labor price and opportunity to talk with the service manager. I'm not one to write reviews, but owe it to my neighbors to help you make a better choice than I did.

Since the wife and bought our home in Columbia, CT we have used Rapid service many times for planned upgrades, maintenance, and the unplanned emergencies for plumbing and electrical. Andy usually responds to our calls and he has been nothing short of a miracle worker on our 1800's house with all its quirks and challenges. Rapid Service is well priced, honest, transparent, and quick.

Every technician that has been to our home (Ozzy, Ryan, and Andy) has been kind, professional, and up front about current needs and anything we should watch out for in the future. Rachel in the office is always friendly and prompt in getting us on the schedule. We have, and will continue to, send our friends to Rapid Service for quality, fair pricing, and a reliable relationship with professional tradesmen.

Waited for call back, when called rude and sarcastic. Making jokes about my service panel without even being there. When I asked if he wanted to do the job or not he hung up on me. Will never call them again.

Andy went above and beyond to ensure that our new circuit breaker and generator outlet were perfect. He took the time to explain all available options beforehand and established confidence in our choice. He also took time to explain how everything worked, including all the steps for generator hook-up, and answered all our questions. All of the staff were friendly and efficient. Andy was cheerful, friendly and professional. The experience was like having family working on our project. We plan to use Rapid Service for all of our professional home projects in the future!

They called and left a message requesting me to clarify my review. There really is nothing to clarify: everything is explained in the review. They are simply way too expensive (in my case, even to an unethical extent), though excellent technicians. If you've got money to burn, they're your people.

I had seen a Rapid Service truck in my neighborhood so thought I would give them a call to fix an outdoor water spigot that was leaking into my basement. They charged a $49 estimate fee and did arrive within a couple of days on time. The technician examined the spigot, telling me just the spigot needed to be replace (the pipe had not ruptured). The quote to replace the spigot was $650!

For a moment, I could not even respond; but once I came to my senses, I paid the $49 and sent him on his way. PRICE GOUGING AT IT'S WORST! Beware of Rapid Service! Not sure if it was because I am a female or if this is their standard pricing -- either way, it is SHAMEFUL!
