It took a while to get help because they seemed really busy that day. The sales person said they do a lot of commercial work. But we were getting prices like $10,000 for our Cambria countertops with miter waterfall panels on the island and he said he thought he could do better. They were $1750 lower than everyone else and explained they could do the job cheaper if we just made our island 2 smaller to fit into the slab.

They had 8 guys show up and moved the slab up the steps and into the kitchen like pros. My only complaint was that they told me the cooktop part of my countertop could be made without a seam but then after the measurements told us the top was bigger and needed a seam. They still made it look good and the island looks great.

About 5 years after the install of our quartz countertops everything has been replaced. The island cracked in half from a stress fracture and the countertops themselves pulled away from the backsplash and sunk. I went with a well know countertop fabrication company in Owings Mills the second time and though they were more expensive they knew what they were doing and could easily point out all of the installation flaws. Trust me, just do it right the first time!

Staff is really rude. I took off work to visit the Hanover office and the guy there refused to take my order as he was doing paperwork. The place looks so grungy. I won't waste my time here again!

I had a great experience with this company up until the point where there was an issue with the countertop. My sales experience was great, they were helpful and knowledgeable and even tried to expedite my appointment for my measurements since I was local and a relatively small job. The installers that came to my house were extremely friendly and professional and did a fantastic job on the install. An issue rose after the install when I was inspecting the counters and noticed an large gap in the patterning of my counter.

Our counters are Quartz, Cashmere Carrara which is a very marbly pattern. On a small 4ft slab, there is a giant white space about 9 inches by 24 inches that has absolutely no patterning of any sort and sticks out pretty bad since it's about 20% of the whole slab. I called immediately about it and was told it's a pretty normal imperfection that a lot of people prefer.

After going back and forth a bit talking about a discount vs replacing it, they told me they are doing another job with the same counter and should have some left over to cut me a new slab and install it. After 2 weeks they call back and say there wasn't enough to cut me a new slab and offered a discount. I felt that 15% would have been an acceptable discount and after a bit of back and forth settled around that area.

Immediately after we settled on the price ($350 off), one of the co-owners picks up the phone saying he's been listening in and begins yelling at me, threatening to take me to court, and accuses me of trying to steal from them by giving them a fraudulent credit card at the time of installation. Apparently when I called to give my CC information after install, they got one of the numbers wrong on my CC and never reached out to tell me this and get my CC so they could charge me and the owner took this as me attempting to steal from them.

After cutting me off and simply transferring me over to the receptionist to give my CC info, I asked for a new statement of the price that I'd be paying with the included discount, which she complied with. When I got the statement, it only had a $250 discount instead of the agreed $350 discount so I call back and the owner picks up again saying there is absolutely no way I'm getting $350 because this is a "Grade A counter" and says he will take me to court and that he has all the evidence he needs since I sent them a picture of the issue after installation (I still don't know why all these threats to take me to court were made).

I also told them that I had called several times in the weeks leading up to now to have someone come see the counter in person because it's difficult to tell in pictures just how bad the counter is. I tell him I hope he knows I'll be writing a bad review for how unprofessional and rude he was to me and he said "If you slander me, my layers will roll on you. Slander me and you will pay." He rudely accepts a final discount of $300 and transfers me back to the receptionist, and when I asked what CC she had on file, the first number was a 4 instead of a 5, which is a totally fine mistake to make, but call me back when the CC gets declined, don't just assume I gave you a fake card in an attempt to steal from you as if you don't have all my personal information.

After all this is settled, I decide to take a trip to the supplier of the countertop (MS International) and talk to a gentleman there, show him the picture, and he says that he'll give me a free replacement slab if they'll install it because he understood that this was a big eye sore and out of the range of normal imperfections. But I'm not ever going to contact this company again and just leave the slab as it is and basically have it always covered with our dish trying towel (yay).

I would have given a 4 star review if the owner had never picked up the phone after an initial compromise was made and yelled and threatened me over something that wasn't even my fault. I was talking with the other owner for the time leading up to accusations, and he was very calm and professional.

They go by American Countertops. Client placed order for three laminated pieces, one out of the three was made shorter than specifications. Not discovered until installation at site. Measure before you take them away from the shop. Quick turnaround on redo. Corners had standoffs, but no protective wrap on surface.

After we went comparison shopping one afternoon to various places near Hanover/Jessup, we stopped in to Express Countertops since it came up on the Google Map search. Just doing due diligence. Well, the showroom wasn't so impressive as places such as United Counters but we were shocked at how low the price they quoted us. $2400 compared to $5800, $4500 from others.

I took a chance and braced myself for "getting what I paid for". What they installed to our difficult 1880's kitchen was perfect. Beautiful, cleanly installed with great precision. Their customer service was excellent, polite (aside from the curt receptionist who sounds stressed) and intelligent. We're shocked we got something so good for such a great price, which was what won us over.

We did a very large kitchen in our new home. The guys at express countertops were unceasingly helpful and honest -- pointing us to good prices and helping us get our kitchen done on time and under cost. The measurements were correct the first time.-- no issues with installation at all. We looked at a number of companies before choosing them and have recommended them several times
