Hired them to install a 260' chain link fence w/slats at my work. Overall, hiring/scheduling process went smooth and their bid was competitive. The fence looked good for about a week-then we noticed the slats were falling through. The workmen did not situate them properly in the bottom so they fell through to the ground. I called twice, and both times was promised someone would be sent to fix the problem.
No one ever came and I finally ended up having my own guy do the repair, which was simple work, but fairly time consuming along a 260' fence. I pay my workmen to do the work of my business, not correct the work of the fence installer. I would not recommend them. UPDATE 1: About six months after the fence was installed, one whole side of it came down in a storm because Mills did not use enough concrete for the poles.
They did come and repair this under warranty. UPDATE 2: Check the photo of the fence on the ground. This is after a storm, about 4 years after the fence was put up. Almost entire thing ripped off the poles and is now on the ground and of course it's well out of warranty now, and I wouldn't have Mills back to fix it again anyway. This is the kind of work Mills does-fence lasted from approximately 8/2018 to 5/2022.

Ok here we go! I just called Mills fence to get some some prices on a DYI project that I am starting in June I spoke with Casey who ask me if I would be purchasing the material from Mills, before I could answer or get options that would be available she cut me off and put me on hold! She returned to the line to give me every excuse as to why Mills would not be available until December when I said that would be fine she then came up with more excuses and also had the audacity to tell me to call another Fence company!
I kindly interrupted her and said" Casie its ok just say you DONT WANT MY BUSINESS!" have a wonderful day! Melanin skin folks beware! Casey is partial take your money ELSEWHERE as advised by Casie!

Started the process in December 2020. my fence is still not complete nor does it look like it cost almost $5000! Mills fence company is a disgrace. They give you inferior product with mediocre contractors who do not care about your property. They left my water running all day while installing this monstrosity. They left equipment in my yard- grass all weekend.
The fence is missing screws and my gate has fallen completely off. I actually mentioned the size of the gate compared to the fence- and was "hushed" like I knew nothing about gravity- sure enough the gate has come off the fence. This job was completed to them in December. I complained about the quality and refused to pay until it was right. Do you know they have already slapped a lien on my property?
The audacity! Michale, Josh, Ella, and Paul are a few of the employees that made this experience horrible for me. stay away guys. this is not 20th century customer service or quality. wish I could post the videos for you guys to see

**BUYER BEWARE** They will sweet talk you to pay 50% of the deposit and then tell you it will be 5-6 months before they can install your fence. I paid my deposit in January and now they say they cannot get to install my fence until July. They say its a custom order and they are not getting their supplies. Please take your money to some other fence company.

Customer service is terrible! I had them out while they were repairing my condo communities privacy fences. I had them out up a 15 foot metal face and to redo my 5 foot shed. They came out in October, while they were there they put up the metal fence and the shed walls. However, they didn't put the door to my shed on. The technician stated they would be back to put the door on the shed in a few days.
No one ever came back. Come December no door, but I get an invoice for the work that was "completed". I called December 28 asking why I received an invoice when the job wasn't complete. When talking to a manager and asking why I didn't have a door to my shed. The manager stated they didn't do "doors" only gates. I stated they needed a door/gate to my shed that was in my contract.
He stated they would get back to me. never did. January 10th, I receive another invoice for the incomplete service. I call again, this time left a VM for a manager stating I will pay once the job is complete. No returned call. January 29th I get a lien letter on my house due to lack of payment. Call again January 31st. Left another voicemail. I decided to call again for the 4th time on February 1st.
Finally talked to someone and explained that this is my 4th time calling and they put an unwarranted lien on my house for their mistake. The manager asked if I had received a pre lien letter. Stated nothing had come via mail, email or phone call. He stated that I should've received a letter about the lien. He stated he would look into it and get back to me.
Later on February 1st, someone shows up at my condo to measure the door! No wonder why I never received a door to my shed. They never had ordered one. The technician called me on February 8th stating they had to come back on the 9th to finish putting the door up since they were missing a piece. I get home from work on the 9th and the door was finally complete. I never heard back from any manager/supervisor about their mistake with my shed door.

Rescheduled multiple times and they had a very hard time communicating with me in a timely manner over email and phone. They quoted me 6' vinal but when they came out they only installed 3' of wood because the measurements in the estimates were wrong (but they still charged me for vinal) Also called me threating a lean on my house after they sent the invoice to the wrong email address 4 times. Would NOT recommend them

I had Mills fence come out and repair a fence that a neighbors tree fell on. They completed the work in July of 2019 and hung their sign on my gate entry. In April of 2020 a new neighbor moved in next door and they contracted Mills to tear down my fence that sits within 6" -10" of my property line and installed a 5' high chain link fence made of lesser grade materials.
Oh yeah did I mention that they built in the same spot which is 6" -10"inside my property. Now my yard looks like a prison yard and I legally cannot remove it. Called Mills repeatedly and informed them of their mistake and told them to review my order from the year prior. They said not their responsibility and will do nothing. Shady company and they should be required to have surveys before installing.
Guess they didn't see the Mills Fence Sign on my gate when they took my shiny new fence down. Be advised they will do what ever you tell them to but if wrong you will be legally obligated and responsible to fix their mistakes.

Absolutely do not call them. I had them install a very large fence, with gate which was mechanized. Since the install I've had nothing but problems so I called and called and called. Finally they sent someone out, only to blame the problem on brick/stone workers. They have no idea who or when I had stone done nor did they ask. They assumed us homeowners are dumb, and that their word is final.
Well my family is rooted in the justice system and I will have the last laugh. Please please watch who you call to do your fence/gate work. I know the product they installed was Liftmaster and I have very high regard for that company. This boils down to lack of training, lack of knowledge, and definitely poor communication. Since the recent owner retired this company has really taken a turn for the worse. All and by the way if u talk to their so called leadership (_nn) Good Luck with that one.

So I waited two months for an estimator to meet me and give me a 1 panel replacement estimate. After waiting 45 minutes after the scheduled appointment time, estimator never shows up and I have to call Mills, who in turns tells me to call the estimator directly and gives me his number. He is late because he "had a personal errand to run and would be there in approx. 30 mins." I had to go to work and left after calling Mills back and telling them how unacceptable this was. Estimator apparently eventually shows up and emails me a quote on Aug. 2.
I promptly pay the estimate and the check clears the bank Aug. 5. Scheduler emails me on Aug. 13 to schedule for November. I respond and explain that I won't own the home in November and what should I do. I was informed possibly could do the panel repair in September and she would follow-up. Never hear back. This morning (since closing is tomorrow) I have spoken to 3 people and finally may possibly have a resolution.
I only went with this company since the original homeowner had used them to install the original. Glad I used Eads for my home fence. I understand lengthy install times but I can't get past the lack of communication and professionalism with this company.

Really upset with Mills Fence. We ordered a fence on June 9th that was supposed to take 14 weeks. We have been calling to check on this fence weekly for the past month. Each employee advised that the fence was not in yet. Today - we were told that it was never ordered. This if for one of our customers! They did not offer to help or fix the problem in any way. Seriously unprofessional and terrible customer service.

I would NOT recommend Mills Fence Co. I had them out TWICE to make the SAME repair to the SAME section of a cedar wood privacy fence and BOTH times the repair FAILED. As it turns out, the second repair (they sent out a freelance contractor) was made with UNTREATED lumber. No wonder the post rotted in half at ground level. It was barely in any concrete and was only 1 FOOT in the ground!
The customer service after the first repair was POOR at best. They were argumentative and did NOT stand by their work. On a bright note, I JUST REPLACED THE ENTIRE FENCE.MYSELF! 400 feet of vinyl 2-tone solid privacy fence, 2 gates (4ft & 10ft). 100% maintenance-free, heavy-duty commercial with steel hinge posts, steel bottom-rail inserts and custom-made/welded-steel gates. No rotting, NO SHODDY INSTALLATION! Posts are heavily-cemented 34 in ground (well below frost line). Mills Fence Co did NOT get the job.and was not even considered.

We gave Mills Fence many chances to make things right and they failed. We're not fence experts, so we hired a fence company to install a fence for us. We don't know what's needed for a driveway gate, so we hired someone to handle the details and install it for us. When we asked Ces Navera at Mills Fence if they were capable of installing a horizontal wood slat fence and driveway gate on our property, he said yes.
He sent us a quote, we scheduled and paid for the work. They installed the wood fence and gate (and a chain link fence) in March of 2017. Jason G. was the lead installer. We followed all care instructions given to us. Within about 9 months, the gate doors started to lean in onto themselves, making them difficult to open and close. We didn't know what the problem was - again, we're not fence experts - but knew this was clearly within the year warranty, so we called to have it fixed.
We were told repeatedly over several months that someone would come out to take a look, but we continued to have to call to follow up after not receiving a call back and not seeing anyone. Finally, in April of 2018, someone called us back. When we explained the problem once again, they claimed we were no longer within the 1-year warranty. Hilarious.
Classic terrible company scheme: wait it out! We pushed back and a couple guys came out that week. The guys who came out were clearly annoyed they even had to be there and said that the hinges just needed to be moved. Once again, we're not fence experts, so we believed them. Silly us. They also drilled new holes in the asphalt driveway that looked terrible, but whatever.
As long as the fence doors we paid for worked.you know, opened and closed. And they did work! For 2.5 years. Then they got bad again. So, 3.5 years after Mills Fence provided their services and charged us for them, we have a driveway gate that doesn't work and will cost $750 to fix. After talking with multiple fence repair companies, we learned that Mills Fence never installed the gate correctly.
The hinges they moved in 2018 only rigged the problem to buy them time to get out of warranty. It didn't fix the problem. Something the warranty is supposed to cover. All 3 companies told us the 4x4 posts Mills used were not substantial enough to hold the gate doors, that they needed to be 6x6. It wasn't a matter of accounting for settling or wood expansion, but a matter of poor engineering and planning. Estimates for replacing these posts to make the gate usable are $750-$850.
We will also need to restain the new wood. We called Mills Fence in late September of 2020 to give them another chance to make it right. After we explained the situation, Sean told us someone would call back soon. Days later, after no one called, we called to give them one final chance and were told again by Sean someone would call. No one did of course. So here we are. Shame on Mills Fence.

DO NOT USE MILLS FENCING We just had our fence installed by Mills and the whole installation was a nightmare! The installer is very unprofessional and impersonal. He refused to keep in contact with me as the customer and the company when the called and left him messages. He never came on the days he previously had said he was coming and when he finally did come, he only called on that day.
On the final day, he brought his kids with him and one of them continuously stared into my front door window making my dogs bark. He left sawdust in my driveway and dirt around each and every fence post, cigarette buts included. When told that the installer doesn't keep in contact, the Mills office completely brushed it off, saying that they continue to tell him he needs to but he refuses to listen to anyone

Estimate process was very friendly, and the bid was mid-pack. Project started behind schedule. Project ended behind revised schedule. Unfinished details lingered for months, and were addressed ONLY when I refused to pay the remainder of the invoice. Several promises for follow-up were made and not kept, and no one seemed to know what anyone else had talked about.
I still don't have the product I contracted for, but I paid them just to be done with them. On the bright side, most of the materials they used were of fine quality. I'm going to have to pay someone else to finish what they didn't. Caveat emptor.

Mills Fence is my vendor of choice for my family's residential needs. We've also used their services on the commercial side. The crews were timely and the installs thorough. There was one install post issue which the CEO personally handled to send a crew back out the day of. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a competitive rate coupled with a great customer experience.

I needed a gate to keep my little dog on the porch which already had railings all around. I knew nothing about it or I would have done it myself! The salesman John, was very knowledgeable and I felt confident that I chose the right company until the workmen showed up with wrong size caps for posts (SAID THEY WERE "out of them") and rigged up 2 larger caps requiring drilling holes for screws to hold caps in place. Welding was done with no protective eyewear; I offered to loan them my safety glasses from the gun range but "don't need them".
I thought this was very dangerous as sparks flew close to his eyes. It was not until they left and Friends came by and said "What is this #*?" that I realized it was a shoddy job at best. I phoned the office, spoke to Elizabeth who assured me she would give a message to correct person to correct this mess. Called again and she apologized; I wish John and Elizabeth could do the job because they are the only people there who care!
I am still waiting and am disappointed to say the least. I paid total amount in full on day John was out. Mills Fence used to be the name on every fence in town and past experience with them has been stellar. What has happened to them? UPDATE:The black topper was replaced when I left this morning. It is crooked. The other topper still has nails sticking out.

I could not have had a better experience. I bought a new home and found myself in a position needing a fence right away because of my pets. All the competitors were 4-6 weeks wait. When I called Mills they also had a 4 week out schedule, but due to my circumstances did all they could to fit me in. They were out with an estimate within a week and job complete the following. The crew did all they could to get the job done quicker for me given the issue with my pets. The work was beautiful and the price was slightly lower than competition.

We got our fence installed January of 2017 with no issues and it looks amazing. The quote came back immediately and was spot on when the job was complete. Kyle was polite, honest and respectful the entire process. We just had a minor issue with a hole in our fence. When I called (assuming they would say they wouldn't fix it) the woman on the phone set up an appointment for me right away.
Within a week, Brian had repaired the hole, fixed a second one he noticed and took the time to give some recommendations to avoid any further issues. FYI - the hole was not due to poor quality or material from Mills. I think customer service goes a long way and Mills understands that. Great company and would highly recommend.

Worst costumer service I've ever experienced. Added onto our existing deck so we brought a piece of our existing railing in to see if they could match it. They assured us they could but it would need to be special ordered and would take about 2-3 weeks to come in. Ok great. But 8 weeks later the railing is finally in and it's not the right railing. Returned the wrong railing and this time they told us that they had our railing in stock.
On our second attempt we got the right railing but the wrong dimensions. Now they want to special order our railing again and have us pay the special order fee even though this has been their fault from the beginning. Started the project in August 2017 and it's now January 2018 and we still don't have the railing for our deck.

Response time for the John Lyttle to meet with us to discuss our fencing options: EXCELLENT Response time for Jason and his crew to begin the job; EXCELLENT Completion of the job by Jason and crew; EXCELLENT Clean up on job site by Jason and crew; EXCELLENT Jason and his crew went above and beyond to keep our yard cleaned up. They were also considerate of flower beds, neighboring yards, etc. Mills fence company significantly exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend this company to our friends and family!

I needed some Black Chain Link fence pieces for an install starting in six days. I placed order so if they shipped same day or the next I would receive them in time. When I called for tracking number 4 days later I was told they would ship next day. Told them I had installers coming next day and needed pieces ASAP. Bottom line I had to find pieces locally at over twice the price and then they shipped some galvanized pieces instead of black pieces I ordered. Bottom line, find someone else if you don't plan far ahead. Like other reviews, their service needs work.

In 2007 put in split rail fence, did good job. Called to get damage repaired, had to wait 1.5 months, then despite several calls to confirm date and time, no one showed. I had to adjust my work schedule to be available for this and the fact that they do not call and not show up is terrible. Would not recommend them.

First let me say I know a couple of the people that work here which is why I chose them to install a fence for me (I don't think this had anything to do with the service since I didn't deal with any of them). I had the fence line staked out with twine. They installed 500' of split rail in two days with no issues. They showed up when they said they would and knocked it out. Unfortunately, the most unhappy are going to post and I think virtually every company has this problem particularly in a service business like this.

One star is being generous.very frustrating experience. After waiting 4 weeks, they finally installed our fence -- but not the gates. Then they had to return to fix the height in one area (it looked bad, all uneven). After waiting another 3 weeks they delivered the wrong gates, then it took 5 weeks for them to return to bring and attach the correct gates. No communication at all on any of this. Terrible customer service. I only wish I had read the reviews first.

Hiring Mill's Fence was beyond a nightmare. We are repeat customers, but after this latest experience with them, we will never hire them again. And we will never recommend them to friends, family, acquaintances, or even enemies! Mill's Fence has the absolute worst customer service my husband and I have ever experienced. We found their staff to be rude and confrontational.
They "no showed" on our fence installation twice. We were repeatedly lied to (or as they call it: "miscommunication") so many times (about so many different things) that I lost count. They also ruptured a line in our sprinkler system (despite it being marked with spray paint). Whenever a problem arose with Mill's Fence, which was every time we spoke with them (that's no exaggeration), we made sure to let them know we were unhappy.
We were offered the most condescending, we-don't-care apologies every step of the way and were billed in full. When I spoke to a manager, she told me they do not offer any type of "good faith" discounts or credits for poor service. She said they only offer discounts if the fencing is installed damaged. In our opinion, Mill's Fence has zero integrity as a company and simply does not take accountability for their actions or care about their customers. The bottom line is, buyer beware.

Used Mills a few years ago.first they delivered the wrong gates. Next, the welding on the "correct" gates was not good and left at least one hole on top which allowed rain to get in and eventually, rust. The subcontractor they used did a mediocre job and a couple of the posts in back are loose now. Yeah, you can do better!

I contacted Mills and was given a quote and a verbal commitment of three weeks till installation. After a week contacted them and was told the scheduler was out but he would do his best. Well the scheduler got back and called me 2 weeks after they received the contract and informed me they can't do it till middle of August and if that didn't work for me, they couldn't do it. WOW!
So I stated I was told 3 weeks and now it's 5 weeks and she immediately told me I wasn't promised anything. I've never had someone who is doing a service for me and taking my money be so disrespectful as Monique. There is no way I would use this company or ever recommend them.

Best thing that can happen to Mills Fence Co. is that they fence themselves in. They missed two appointments for install; the second one because they discovered no one had even ordered the product. When called, employees were rude, and disrespectful. Don't try to ask for the man/woman in charge: the person is, I was told, "a silent partner." The day after, I got an email from the sales rep wanting to know if I still wanted the fence. All I want now is to tell other to keep away from Mills Fence. Bad news! Stay away!
