At Quabbin, the focus is on being the best we can be and manufacturing the best products on the market - not just compliant, better than compliant. That's who we are; the desire to produce world beating products is our foundation. After that it comes down to holding tighter tolerances in the manufacturing facility and we do it consistently.
Founded in 1975 when current President and CEO Paul Engel discovered the need for a devoted manufacturer to produce a cable product to meet the demands of the marketplace. Quabbin's beginnings consisted of two people in a 600 square foot office, a tiny loading dock and two operators running one lone machine.
At Quabbin, we are focused on being one of the leading cable suppliers by manufacturing the best copper cable products on the market - not just compliant, better than compliant. Our wide range of expertise in stranded cable or patch cable allows us to provide you with superior solutions for applications requiring plenum cable, LSZH cable, and Industrial Ethernet, just to name a few.
Quabbin develops, manufactures, promotes and sells cables that are used in a variety of markets. We work with each customer to assist in the cable selection process and remain present to answer any questions along the way. Industrial strength cables designed purposefully to survive and perform in the harshest of environments.

If seeking employment LOOK ELSEWHERE. Operators get treated like garbage. Management treats people like children. Corrupt system where egos over rule everything. Knowing what you're doing and good work ethic mean absolutely nothing when you can politic, tell on people, and get on your knees for the "right" people. Shop is disgusting looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the 1960s with faulty equipment everywhere over 50 years old.

Company prides themselves on being USA operated and "made in the USA" yet pay your employees like a sweat shop. Stupidity runs rampant here. Current "engineering" department is pure comedy, 90% have ZERO wire and cable experience, and the ones that do are put down. blame the next guy. HR team should be ashamed to say they take care of the employee's best interest.

They sell you BS when you start that isn't true in any aspect whatsoever. They couldn't get someone in there that knows what their doing to save their life. Company profits go to the higher ups super cars and bank account NOT the work force's wages or bonuses. Work force is too weak and too broke to stand up and say when something is wrong.

Get a few yearly "raises" and now you're on the hit list only to get someone to replace you cheaper. Company is a joke working there feels like you're on a hidden camera show. good luck Quabbin you're going to need it.

They wait two weeks to respond to you sales careers just a very lazy company all around, plenty of other better wire and cable options out there.

Worst place ever! Condescending mgmt. Arrogant supervisors and a 1918 attitude, not 2018. No future, no advancement, and certainly no chance of earning any liveable wage. Crappy working conditions with no freedom or even bathroom breaks. HR sells u a B'S story and leaves u thinking it's a normal workplace. It's all about having "time".

Long story. Trust me, it sucks. Write-up for Dr app's and emergency family issues. Incompetent, nerdy plant me who is on a power trip. Good co-workers but we're all in the same sinking boat. Way too many incompetent VP's and a typical slave-like atmosphere with the factory workers. What a mistake! Better working at Walmart or a C-store.

I had a business of my own, am competent and thought I would advance but I didn't because I spoke out with better ideas that the old boy network couldn't figure out. They would look bad so my ideas were trashed. Place needs a union, no question. Typical sweat shop-just shut up and fat cat butt kissers advance and hide sleazy tactics from old owner. It's like a bad movie. They think they can get away with anything and mostly succeed because they all cover for each other. Next step is to call OSHA and 22 news.
