Services
As a family, we have been building and remodeling homes since 1925, as well as over a span of three generations. The building process revolves around the client, their needs, wants, and their budget. We never try to push a client towards an outcome that can benefit the company. The client will formulate a list of needs and we will help design a project around these needs, in conjunction with the site.
We are a full-service turn-key business with project managers and a designer who works closely with clientele from the initial phases of design through the various phases of construction. Our skilled craftsman can design projects from small additions and renovations to full home construction projects.
At Chapdelaine Builders we want to bring your vision to life. As a design-build firm, we are fully engaged in the design and construction of your home and will guide you every step of the way. We handle all aspects of the building process so that you don't have to and we set a schedule and stick to it.

Over the last 30 years I have used them and was very happy until Dave Chapdelaine left the business. Dave was great, the rest of them are horrible. I spent well over 100,000 over the years and called for a simple ice dam repair on my interior ceiling in a roo they built when Dave was there. They kept promising to come out, never did, sounded frustrated every time I called and finally afterMONTHS of trusting them to take care of it they told me they were too busy and could not come out. I would NEVER recommend them now, coming from someone who WAS a frequent customer.

We are so happy with our new Kitchen! Lisa designed the layout of our kitchen creating the most spacious functional living space in our home. Where others failed to do this she succeeded. Gary and his team of workers were awesome! They were always respectful in our home and eager to help in any way. They finished the renovation as scheduled. You will not be disappointed in choosing them for your next project as we hope to do in the near future.

Chapdelaine came to my home and took pictures and measured for a few jobs. They called me a few days later to made an appointment for me to come and and see drawings and ideas for the jobs discussed when they came and took pictures. When I arrived the woman who the appointment was with asked me what she could help me with?.I had spent over and hour with the measurement person discussing what I needed the prior week.

The designer that made the appointment with me had not even looked at the pictures or measurements. I proceeded to tell her exactly what I spent an hour going over with the gentleman who had already come to my house. She then made an appointment to come out to my house and then NEVER SHOWED UP. I called after waiting 45 minutes and she was on the phone and I was told she would call me when she was free.

She never did. The next morning someone had put a note in my mailbox that Chapdelaine was too busy to take on any more jobs. I could not believe it. Besides being unprofessional, I found this extremely rude. After the confusion at the 2nd appointment I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and give them another shot. I totally misjudged this company and their employees. I had by then wasted 3 weeks with them. I would not ever recommend this company.

We had a recent kitchen renovation with Chapdelaine. We sought out designs and ideas from two other kitchen professionals before we committed to Chapdelaine. Lisa, Chapdelaine's designer, listened to our needs and ideas and came up with an amazing design for a very difficult kitchen space. Throughout the entire process, Lisa was always available when we needed her help and answered my questions and gave her opinion when asked. Gary, the project manager, was a delight to work with: professional, honest, patient, knowledgeable, punctual, and great at communicating at every step.

We knew where we stood throughout the process such as what part of the job was being worked on each day and what to expect. Gary was also very transparent about the cost of renovating our kitchen, and although it was a little over the top of our budget, we felt it was money well spent. There were no unexpected or hidden costs, despite some unforeseen issues typical in older homes.

The subcontractors Chapdelaine uses(plumber, electrician, painters, finish carpenter, demolition) were all top-notch and delivered high quality work with attention to every detail. They were respectful to us and to our home, they showed up on time and completed their work as promised, always making sure we were satisfied before they left. Also, the outside vendors recommended by Gary and Lisa for appliances, lighting, tile, flooring and plumbing fixtures were also great resources, with competitive pricing, extensive inventory, helpful and knowledgeable staff.

We plan to use these vendors for all future home projects. Our new kitchen is beautiful and functional and more than we thought possible in a very challenging space. We hope to be able to use Chapdelaine for our next home project!
