Services
Gillespie & Son, Inc., locally owned and operated since 1922, manufactures concrete products serving the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware. The company makes and distributes ready mix concrete, precast products, and block. Also offered are aggregate products such as sand, gravel, crushed stone, landscaping and paving systems.
Gillespie & Son has deep roots. The company began in 1922 on the farm of the great-great grandfather of the current management, brothers Jim and Todd Gillespie. The firm operated out of the original Dudley's Corner location in Sudlersville for 60 years. In 1963 concrete block and ready mix operations were seated in Chestertown, Maryland and in 1971 all operations were consolidated in Chestertown when the company invested in a new precast plant.
Gillespie & Son Inc. has provided ready mix concrete to the local area since 1959. We provide concrete for every application - from bridge to dog kennel - and everything in between. Our knowledgeable sales and dispatch staff can help make your job run smoother with ideas and suggestions. We have all the tools and accessories you need to finish concrete in our store.

This company will not do the right and ethical thing.so beware of doing business with them. One of their cement trucks threw stones up on Route 50 on the Narrows Bridge and damaged my windshield. They denied and responsibility for it. I was there and experienced it but they said it didn't happen. BEWARE!

Very unhappy. I purchased some sand yesterday and when they loaded my rear window was scraped. I went to talk with them-very civily and they determined that they cannot fathom how the scrape could have been made by their equipment. All I know is that it wasn't there before I got the sand. Must have gremlins. Right down the center of my rear window scraped into the glass, that took some pressure to do that. It's ok, next time i need arena sand or dust I will find another company.
