World War II produced a plethora of "can do" projects. The Mira Loma Quartermaster Depot was built in 1942 with 1,500,00 square feet of improved storage area. Jackel has obtained a truckload of surfaced 3 x 9 FSC Recycled 100% Doug fir purlins, actual size 2 1/2 x 9. All stock is 20' long, heavy free of heart center and dense grain. This beautiful reclaimed lumber represents California and American History. Samples available upon request, or make an appoint to view and select. We are here to provide premium material, fair value and quality service.

In 1991 he decided to start his own business, Jackel Enterprises. As a leader for his company Steve has grown JE from a small warehouse and one man operation into a 40,000 sf facility on a 2 acre lot.
Our selection of old growth, fine grain softwoods originating from the North American West Coast includes a large inventory of salvaged Old Growth Redwood, Western Red Cedar, Alaskan Yellow Cedar and Old Growth Douglas Fir. Most of our softwood inventory is full sawn, vertical grain, clears. We can special order FSC Certified softwoods in Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar and Alaskan Yellow Cedar.

After Moving from the East coast last year, one of my first challenges was to create new vendor relationships. As with my suppliers in New York, each one has their specialties- especially when it comes to lumber vs sheet goods. For lumber, I will always contact Jackel first. Their prices are very competitive, they source quality hardwood and service is outstanding.
I want to emphasize this last part. Most of my interactions have been with Roger and Mario. These guys go above and beyond. I know that most of us don't go to the lumber yard for the customer service, but some of the other vendors in the area could learn from Jackel. A little kindness and patience go a long way.

I have to say, I was very impressed with the lumber selection and the staff. We flew into CA with the soul purpose of finding a lumber mill to find a nice selection of hardwoods to work with on a CNC. Found multiple options to work with at a price point that worked out perfectly. Thank all for all of your help, we made it back to FL and ready to start on new projects!

Good selection of wood. But "Ethical" as I saw in a different comment is very questionable. I purchased two 5'x5' sheets of Baltic birch plywood for $80.00 My racks are 4'-11-1/2. I asked if they could rip about an inch off to fit on my racks. The salesperson said yes they could but it was going to be $10.00 per cut. I realize time is money. But I was the only customer in the store. Are you seriously going to include the word ethical in a customer response when you just tried to tack on an extra 25% to my total purchase?
I normally support local business whenever I can. But I refuse to get robbed! I need a lot of this material going forward. It will be much cheaper to make the short trip to the Bay area.

This was the biggest waist of time and money. I ordered a piece of Mahogany that was suppose to be 12' x 3 1/2" x 1/2 " it cost me over $80,00 dollars and $40.00 for just the milling charge. They called me yesterday telling me it was done and that they would be open on Saturday until 1:00 pm. After work @ 12;30 I called for directions because they had moved to a new location and all I got from there elderly employee was "you better be here by 1;00 pm we will be close the door. OK- I had to call back again because he again gave me the wrong direction and again he stated I had 4 minuets to be there or he would close and lock the door.
Now I was really upset. When I show up this elderly man become all confrontational SO now I am really mad I payed the bill and forget to check the measurements and of cores they did not even mill it right! I would of been better off going to Home Dept
