National Manufacturing & Distribution, Inc. (NMD) was established in 1981, working with electric utilities that required Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) components for maintaining electrical substation equipment and components. NMD began specializing in reverse engineering and manufacturing components that were either no longer available from the OEM's or had extremely long lead times.
National Manufacturing & Distribution performs a number of services for electric utility and industrial customers relating to electrical contacts and associated components. Some of these services include refurbishing electrical contact surfaces with silver or copper alloys. This can be done in some cases versus purchasing new contacts.
National Manufacturing & Distribution has a long history of manufacturing power generation facility components such as copper bus bar lengths & segments for large OEM's, power generation facilities, and rewind/services organizations. National is a trusted partner with large electrical maintenance service groups that maintain critical power generation facilities throughout the world. Whether a large copper circuit ring or small connection segment, National has fabricated components from customer drawings or samples.
National Manufacturing & Distribution understands that well built motor starter contacts and components are a vital part of a properly functioning industrial facility.
