I have been working on a few remodeling projects on the house and a decided to come to Wallaure over Home Depot and I'm happy I did. First off as soon as we walked in the door multiple people greeted me and asked to help. Jason and Rich in the paint department were great and helped me pick out a specific color I had been searching for. Then I went down stairs to find wallpaper and Laura was very attentive and helpful. I will be back for sure. I love the intimate and personalized experience here. 10/10 customer service.

Had great experiences with paint department. Staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. If you need 'extra help' I recommend going later in the day after the contractor rush. Always my go to store for paint:

The staff here was incredibly helpful - I showed up an hour before closing the night before a blizzard, and they took the time to help me find all the samples I needed and discuss my options, and even gave me a heads-up when I was looking at one that was twice as expensive as the other colors. I was able to keep my painting project on track despite the weather, and could not be more grateful!

Called to place a paint order over the phone, the employee said he likes doing things in person, and won't do it over the phone. When you are in the store, workers have an attitude, make it seem like they are going out of there way to make paint for you, as if it wasn't their job.

My husband, , my young son and I were in the North White Plains location this morning, people who work there need to work in their customer service skills, specially a skinny guy who works at the paint counter He was very loud, and sarcastic. We asked simple questions about paint to help us with our needs and he spoke down to us, never answered our questions, we didn't like the way we were treated, we left the store without buying anything and went to Sherwin Williams in White Plains, we got the service we needed there and spent $600.00 worth of painting supplies, the customer service at SW was worth every dollar of our money.

Met with Laura to pick out our paint colors for our home. Laura helped us from start to finish and we couldn't be happier. She listened to our vision and helped narrow down our choices. I highly recommend coming here and visiting their home center. Sit with Laura. she is the best!

This this is kind of a medium-sized hardware store that has a good selection of products and some good quality choices. Generally speaking it's relatively easy to get help. It reminds me more of what hardware stores are like when I was growing up. It's big enough to find almost everything you need but small enough to not be too big

They don't care about their customers. The manager went to Florida, and made no secret of it in the time leading up to the trip, and when he gets back, there he is in the store without quarantining for two weeks. Some of us are older folks who may also have someone at home who may be susceptible to things like the flu or COVID. So don't believe Wallauers when they tell you your health matters.

I won't be patronizing any of their stores anymore. I may have to drive longer or start my day earlier to get supplies, but there are plenty of other shops that follow the rules and show their customers respect just like I and my crew show respect for our customers when I am in and around their homes.

Although not the friendliest team of employees I have ever met, the previous Yelp reviews are a bit over the top. It's a neighborhood paint store manned by regular guys that offers a wide variety of paint and paint products including custom paint. Part of the store is closed during the pandemic so keep that in mind if you are looking for very particular assistance on a bespoke project. Easy parking is a plus.

This location in particular - and the Wallauer brand itself are simply the best. Staffed with experienced and helpful staff and a product line and expanse that offer more than any other brand and supply - every visit provides exactly what you need in terms of both selection and best customer service you can find. If your buying paint here - you know your stuff an are getting Benjamin Moore -the best there IS.

These guys understand branding, understand how important great customer service is and make sure they get it right. I've been in business as a home improvement contractor, specifically a painter- for over thirty years. Been to quite a few suppliers- NONE even compare to these guys. I will go out of my way to use NWP Wallauers no matter where my job location takes me. GO HERE - it will start off your project RIGHT. MAGNUM PAINTING.

Very highly rude and nasty. Unhelpful and lazy to say the least. Sorry I went in for local help. Better to drive to White Plains or up to Mt Kisco or Katonah where folks are very friendly and helpful. What a nasty man in this Scarsdale/Eastchester location. Avoid. I get the feeling they just want to sell to professional painters and not women. What are they getting out of looking for painters as their sign states?

Sometimes They Don't Have What You Need. But They Are An Excellent Store And Have A Lot Of Items. And There Called "Ace Hardware". So don't be confused.

There is something unique about the corporate culture of Wallauer's. If a price quote is made, and it turns out to be an underestimate based on their opinion, you are charged a fee if you decide the new price exceeds your willingness to pay and you want to cancel before placing the final order. You are met with rudeness and derision over any questioning of their price schemata, including charging for items that are commonly cost-free and viewed as the cost of doing business by competitors.

And no matter how small the financial gain is to Wallauer's, and no matter how potentially time consuming or self-defeating their defense is, they will fight you to the end. The adage, "The consumer is always right" is turned on its head at Wallauer's.

Nice selection of items, but the staff leaves a lot to be desired. If you are searching for wallpaper, fabric or curtain rods, do yourself a favor, and call and ask if Jackie is working. She is great- very pleasant, not pushy, very helpful. If she is not, stay home and do something fun- like get a root canal. I was in there recently and browsing, and asked for Philip Jeffries wallpaper.

The woman working at the time, instead of telling me where they were, told me they were "very expensive." The implication obviously being that I couldn't afford it (tip for the staff: if someone asks for something by name, they probably ALREADY know what it costs). Another incident recently was I had been in looking at curtain rods. I ran out of time with the plan to come back another day.

I returned the next day, and pulled out the book I thought I had been looking at. The woman working (middle aged, blond hair pulled back in a bun) came running over and took the book OUT OF MY HANDS and told me I couldn't look at it because there might be pricing in it. Tell me, if it isn't for everyone to look at, why was it on display with all the other books? Seriously, just awful, awful service. It's a pity, because they do have really nice, up to date products, but the vast majority of the staff is horrible.

Great paint store, very helpful and knowledgeable. One of the designers who works there helped me choose a color and came to the house for my window treatments.

I bought my wallpaper here and they have extensive, up to date options if you are looking for choices. I am giving this store a 2 star rating however, for their customer service. The fellows In the paint dept are straight up rude (no eye contact, do not say hello or good bye, don't offer assistance). I came at 5:30pm one evening to pick up my wallpaper and the younger man threw my wallpaper on the counter.

I asked him if there were 12 rolls and he said he didnt know, he doesn't work in that dept. I have since given all my paint business to sherwin williams down the street.

The people who work here are so rude and disrespectful to customers. In speaking with friends about this place, several other people had similar experiences. My friend's husband is a contractor and he always loves going in there- says the guys are really nice to him and friendly. However, when my friend goes in (a woman), she says they are rude and treat her poorly.

This was echoed by other people during the conversation. There's Sherwin Williams down the road with pleasant service and great products. I'd go to Home Depot before I'd ever patronize Wallauer again. The staff needs to be replaced and management needs to make that happen.

Think twice before going here (just read reviews from any of their locations). Salesman, Nick P at Eastchester store, was a snooty know it all. He repeatedly wanted to put down Behr brand paint, despite it being rated the #1 paint by Consumer Reports for the past five years (look it up yourself). Nick said this was "the stuff Home Depot sells. as he looked down his nose." telling me that good painting contractors would never use that (total nonsense and untrue as I found out from many contractors prefer Home Depots Behr because of it's quality).

He then was happy to sell me some Sherwin Williams brand paint (he did not include primer in it, did not tell me either). The Sherwin Williams paint went on horribly, took multiple coats. I decided to try following the paint reviews, for what it's worth. I took my Sherwin Williams paint catalog to Home Depot, and the matched the color I wanted from it by using the computer.

It was a perfect, identical match. The staff at Home Depot in Hawthorne NY paint department was excellent in their knowledge and assistance. I paid a little extra for some new type of paint Behr had out, says no primer required.right up my alley (Marque I think). It was worth every penny. It was the best paint I have used, easy to go on, the one coat did hold true.good because painting is not my favorite thing to do.

I never look for the cheapest material, but it was nice to get the Behr paint at a fair price too, it ended up being the better product as it turned out. Stay away from Wallhaurs Design Center, unless you want to pay high prices to get abused by their poorly trained staff.

I purchased a Benjamin Moore paint sample there that looked nothing like the paint chip. When I returned it, and I wanted the sample redone to make the color right, they said it wasn't their fault, it was the computer's fault, and there was nothing they could do. They couldn't contact the manufacturer to find out what the problem was, they couldn't double check that their machine was working properly.

They wouldn't rerun the sample without charging me for it a second time, so then I tried to find similar paint colors that could replace the one they supposedly could not make the right color. I asked them which paints would be similar to the one I was trying to purchase, so I could see if it would work for me, and the guy was short, and gradually getting more and more annoyed.

When I asked for a manager, the manager came over to me and said "ma'am, you have too much going on here and you need to go somewhere else, because we can't help you." I said "but you gave me the wrong paint color", and he finally offered to refund my money for the paint sample. Given his unbelievably rude comment, and the inability for them to help me in any way, I took the refund and left.

I admit, I ask questions, and I find it hard to visualize what something will look like from a small paint chip, so maybe my questions were annoying, but that's why I went to a "paint and decorating store", not Home Depot or Lowe's. When I'm ready to lay out almost $100 just to test the paints that I think will work for me, not to mention the $1000 that will be spent on paint for the exterior of my house, I expect that a paint store can tell me which paint colors would be similar to the one I was trying to purchase and try to solve problems, not throw me out when I was trying to work with them despite their limited customer service skills and lack of knowledge about the products they sell. I will never go back to Wallauer for any of my painting or decorating needs.
