Thad Ziegler Glass, Ltd. was originally established in 1893 by William Ziegler and his nephew, Carl. The original firm was known as Ziegler & Ziegler. It specialized in paint, wallpaper, and plate glass. Its headquarters was located at 325 E. Houston in San Antonio, Texas. Carl left the company in 1913.
An affordable shower door option with minimal metal is a semi-frameless shower door. Similar to the frameless shower doors, there is no metal around the door while it's open. I was given a three week lead time on a replacement glass for a door. That was on July 1, 2021. The glass was replaced on November 11th. During that time I was in the process of selling the home and they made the final item to close outstanding for 45 days. I talked to the Owner of the company, and he could care less about the issue this caused and did nothing to make it right. I would not recommend this company to may worse enemy.

Highly Highly Highly Recommended! We have a hand crafted cherry wood entertainment center, we bought in Japan in 2005. We've made many moves over the years, with no damage issues, until the last move where one of the glass shelves was broken by a mover. We called around to a few glass companies, and for what we needed, we were referred to Thad Ziegler (Jackson Keller).
We took one of the remaining shelves as a template, to Thad Ziegler, and they freaking got it spot on! There are a few intricate cuts that they initially stated may have to be rounded, but they didn't have to round any cuts. The got EVERY cut CORRECT! Got the shelf home, inserted it into its position; PERFECT! BIG THANKS TO THE MANAGER JIM, one of the associates in the front, HUNTER, and the technician(s) involved in taking care of us! Our entertainment center is WHOLE again! Highly Highly Highly Recommended!

BE CAREFUL. used Thad Ziegler Technicians to come to my property for an work estimate of hail window damage to my house in Boerne. Techs did not call me while outside my gate, they pushed through my gate and BENT my gate arm. I even have signs on my gate that say "Private Property - No Trespassing", "Beware of Dog", & "Please call me 210.xxx-xxxx." and techs still pushed opened my gate and damaged it. Supervisor/company refused to pay for my damaged bent gate arm even when I have proof that they PUSHED open my gate arm. I am filing a BBB report against this company.

Critical: Professionalism I have tried to use this business for 5 months. I keep getting the same excuse that the Mobil repair man is out. The last call they said 2 to 3 more months. If your Mobil repair personal is out for half a year maybe you should consider getting more help. Long story I would never use this company in Boerne. They're a joke.

I went in and ordered a simple piece of glass 30"x15". In a few days they called and said it was ready but when I went in they handed me the wrong glass. They apologized and told me my glass would be there in 2 days. I went back in 2 days and I was told my glass was missing from their truck but I should have it the next day. I went back and they handed me the glass but it was wrong again.
So the reordered it and said they would put a rush on it. 2 weeks later no glass. I called everyday and no one could tell me where the glass was or if it was ever done. When I called no one could tell me where the glass was or when it would be ready. At times they sounded like they didn't even know about my order. I finally gave up and left them a message to provide the glass or a refund.
They never replied or called back. I called again and said I wanted a refund and magically the glass appeared that same day. It took a month to get a piece of 30"x15" glass. A month. No apology, no explanation, nothing. The strangest part was when I was finally handed the glass they told me the corners were very sharp and handed me some sand paper so I could sand them down to make them safe.
All I could think was "after a month they couldn't even ensure the corners weren't sharp?" I took my prepaid glass and finished my project weeks late. My customer understood it wasn't my fault but that didn't make me feel better holding up a job over a piece of glass.

Laura Flores answered the phone, answered my questions and invited me to come in to discuss options. When I got there, she remembered me from the call and helped me figure what I needed. A few hours later, she called me to tell me my glass was ready and reminded me they closed at 5:00. I paid a fair price and a young man even took the glass took the truck for me. It's a glass place, so good service and a fair price are what makes the difference. Convenient location helps too. Thanks Laura!

Not Recommended! A very simple order (two glass shelves) placed on Friday morning and they tell me will be ready any time that day after 3 PM. I check in on Monday morning to see if they are done. They are not, but they promise it will be done by Wednesday. I don't bother checking in on Wednesday and instead wait until Friday. Surprise! Still not done.
Not even started, but I should check back that day after 3 PM. No Thanks! Order cancelled. The only good thing I can say about this company is that they did not give me a hard time about cancelling the order.

After an incident I needed a new window for my car. I set an appointment here for 8:30 in the morning. I arrived at 8:15, they took my car back as soon as I got there and I got out the door at 8:50! Very quick, very friendly. Also the best price of the 3 places I had to choose between. I'm very happy and impressed with my whole visit. Will definitely use them again if I have to have any of my windows replaced again. Thank you guys!

This place has some of the worst customer service. Jim the manager handled our order with the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered 2 panes if acrylic for a book case. During delivery the acrylic was bowing. I would not accept the delivery and Jim and his staff still tried to charge me for the acrylic. The staff and Jim made accusations that they told me, which was a complete lie.
Then the corporate office became involved. And the 1290.61 was refunded, but was re billed again when replacement glass was ordered, so I was charged a total of 1734 for plastic that bowed and the replacement glass. I don't know a business that would fraudulently Bill a customer like this company has

Had my glass replaced here and when I picked up the car there was still a considerable amount of glass pieces in the door. Every time I close the door I am forced to hear glass rattling and it sounds like a POS. They offered to have me come back the following Monday at 3 and at 2:15 I receive a voicemail saying it would be a waste of a trip and there is nothing they could do.
They said it is an issue with the design of the car door, but I know plenty of people with my same car who have had windows replaced without problems. They said my best option was to check with the dealer. Wish they would have notified me once they pulled my car apart that there would be no way to properly fix it. I gave them an extra star for being available same day.

Two thumbs down on this company. My first order with them was for a piece of glass cut to a specific size. I picked up the glass and drove home, only to find that the piece had been incorrectly cut and was 2 too big. That meant a second trip to their store to get the right size glass. I hasten to point out that they require payment in advance for phone orders.
Last week, I ordered a piece of plexiglass cut to a specific size. Again, I prepaid the order. And like last time, I picked up the plexiglass, brought it home, and discovered one of the cut edges had not been properly sanded, leaving it rough and jagged. So I now have to make yet again another trip to have the edge finished. If you use this company, be sure to build in at least two trips to get your order right. Better yet, use a different company.

The worst place ever! No costumers service! unprofessionalism at work, I order from them three pieces of glass shelves overpriced, I do not care about the hire amount as long the job well done, but why make promises and false, to say callers to update when the shelves will be ready and I have to chase them about that, wow! I'm super mad and upset from the experience with them that I even can describe all what happened to me. Be careful!

Two employees of Thad Zigler were at the high-rise where I live at North View Towers replacing glass in a common area today 8/18.walking through, one gentleman was very very courteous and very professional stating it was OK to walk through there and to have a nice day! He was just very very professional and very friendly! I did not get a name all I know is he had a mustache and the other guy was very busy working! It's nice to see companies who are out there working being that professional and that friendly!

This company does not operate with integrity.they overcharge. They take advantage of the elderly. If they give you an estimate and call them the same day to tell them you found another vendor so no thank you, they will pretend the call never existed (although we have phone records to prove it), rudely threaten to charge you for orders you did not make (in our case an 80 year old woman) and we will be filing with the BBB. Sadly we were unaware of their reputation until it was too late and they had taken my elderly mother for a ride, scammed her out of money and were more expensive (by 44%) than anther vendor. Don't trust!
