Wonderful glass repair company. Lana went way out of her way to repair a vintage front door beveled glass broken by a tenant and to recreate the historic moldings. Hector who did the install was also great. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that go out of their way to work with you. Would never use any other company for any glass needs!

Absolutely horrendous communication. I have used Stuart glass for a prior job and was overall pretty happy with the experience although shotty communication during that job. This time around I had 2 separate jobs that I was willing to give Stuart Glass our business to, but they have not responded to a single phone call, voicemail, text, or email in the last 7-8 weeks. Pretty abysmal customer service if they won't even give the decency of telling you to find someone else to do the work even after they've supplied a quote.

They got it done in the time they said. I needed a thermal pane replaced asap. At first she thought it would be a week out because she had to order it. When I explained the urgency she and her team were able to fabricate a piece and the window was ready the next day! I will always call her first for my next window needs. Thanks to all at Stuart glass for what you did!

I have used Stuart Glass more than once and was very satisfied with the work they have done. First time they serviced a window in my apartment - changed broken glass. When i learned that they do shower doors as well i requested a quote from them and then had them install the shower glass. Took all in all about 1.5 weeks and went smooth. My shower glass looks great!

Lana was the first contac person. She attended me very kindly, the price she gave me was adjusted to my budget and their technicians came very punctual to install the sliding glass of my shower in my house they are very professional in their work, I strongly recommend their service to anyone who needs some work with glass (windows, doors mirrors etc, etc) thank you guys

The guys out of the trucks are pretty helpful but the office is getting better. I tried to order some products they mentioned they would get back to me and never did. They might take a bit to get through but You can't leave a message on their phone because the mail box is full. If you stop by in person they are much more helpful.

Brought in a small sheet of polycarbonate I needed cut to smaller dimensions, was quoted a price and was told by recptionist to come back around same time the next day. Came in next morning, was told they were too busy and to come by later that afternoon. Came by after agreed time and was told still too busy, come back next morning "before nine". I said I would take it somewhere else if they couldn't get to it and I was assured they would. Came back around 9:30 next morning, still wasn't done.

Man said, "can you wait 5 minutes?". I said, "no", took my sheet and left. Local hardware store did it while I waited. I understand it was a small job for small money, but I was assured 3 times they would get it done but didn't. If you're too busy for nickle and dime jobs, fine. But don't waste people's time. It's insulting. I left 2 stars instead of 1 because at least no one was rude. I guess that alone is reason for praise these days.

I should have checked the Yelp reviews before I called Stuart Glass. They were recommended by a vendor that I work with frequently. I called to set up an appointment to get an estimate for replacing a window pane. I was told that someone might be available on Thursday to come by but they were busy and there was no guarantee that they would have time.

They did not stop by. Fine. I understand that happens. I called to reschedule. On the given appointment day, I called at 3 o'clock to see if they were still on schedule to come by. The woman who answered the phone said she was unable to find the appointment in their calendar. She told me that she remembered entering the appointment, but she couldn't find it now. Okay.

One more try. We rescheduled for the following week. Guess what. On the next appointment day, a no show. I called again and left a message asking for a call back. No one ever responded. I wasted too much time on this company.

This company is terrible. They never answer their phone, don't return voicemails, and we had TWO no-show appointments. They're very unprofessional, so we went with someone else instead.

In sum, I'd say Stuart doesn't really want walk-in, retail customers like me. After a large bird smashed one of our bedroom windows, I called and asked Stuart Glass if they repaired double-pane insulated windows, they said "yes, bring it in" so I boarded up my double hung and brought the upper sash to Brighton. I like to support Mom & Pop type shops, so I wasn't put off by the dirty, dumpy, disorganized condition of the shop- nothing wrong with keeping costs down, right? However, they have no real "system" in place to take your information (used scrap paper) or a way to calculate accurate estimates.

They quoted "about $60-$70" and would be done "by the end of the week" which I thought was a lot for a smallish window, but my window was boarded-up and it had to be fixed, so I said OK. They never called me to tell me it was ready, so I stopped in at the end of the week- NOTHING had been done on my window yet! I left them a message the following week. Got a call back saying yes, it was ready.

My wife picked it up and the bill was $120- double the estimate. Turns out they DON'T actually fix double-pane insulated windows at the Brighton shop- the windows get trucked to a wholesale glass factory in Maine(!) for repair. Too bad this Mom & Pop is just a middle-man.

Outstanding work at reasonable prices, and the guys they send are fast and courteous. They came to my 4th floor condo in Brookline to do the following: fix a broken balance in a Harvey window and repair the screen that went along with it; replace a cracked Harvey window; realign a screen that was at risk of blowing off. I can't speak highly enough of Stuart Glass!

I seriously could not believe how rude the woman at the desk was. She got aggravated with us for absolutely no reason and was extremely rude. I don't think she looked us in the eyes once. What crawled up your butt?! I almost turned around and walked right out but we need the work done. - Review was placed on the same day of service.

Well, looking at these review, you can definitely tell which ones they paid someone to write. This is the worst company I've dealt with. The secretary is extremely incapable at best and criminal at worst. I just wanted my windshield replaced and my insurance billed. All of my calls were unreturned. When I got the lady on the phone, she tried to convince me to pay them directly so I could get more money from my insurance company. huh? Avoid, avoid, avoid. I can't believe they are still in business. Go to JN Phillips instead.

I was quota for $547 plus tax and other company quota $425 to replace front door glass for same work. Rip off not calling them.

Secretary is incapable of giving you a time and date for an appointment. She acts frustrated that you would want to know. I had them do one job that I was fairly happy with, but when I called them for something more complicated they took one look and walked away. I followed up for a quote by phone and email, and they never got back to me even to say they didn't want the job. Don't waste your time! Try Prime Glass in Watertown instead.

I don't understand why the front desk women is so unprofessional, we have a screen for 2 weeks and they keep telling us that is no ready. the customer service id ridiculousness bad.

Please stay away from this company! They do not work safely. We came home to find they were breaking ( not removing carefully) BREAKING windows in a 3rd floor hallway of our building. No warning, no tarps, no caution tape. Pieces of glass falling down in front of our door. When we complained the workman threw down a broom and shovel! When asked to stop work we were laughed at and told "I am a professional" would a professional let glass fall down three stories?

There is now glass all over our front door AND they left a garbage can full of glass outside all night. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You will open yourself up to lawsuits and safety violations.

I called for an estimate on a patio door repair. I was told the estimate could not be done that day and to call back the following day because the person was unable to remember to schedule it. I called and scheduled the time for the estimate. The estimate was not done and I was not called. I called back and was told the estimate would be done the next day.

It was not done and no one called me. I called back and expressed concern regarding the failure to follow through as promised and the failure to contact me. I was then raged at for being unreasonable and not being more understanding of how busy they were. I concluded that if they could not treat me with respect and keep agreements when doing an estimate, that it was unlikely that commitments would be kept in the future. I am looking for someone else to do the repair.

We used this company for a shower install. The glass they placed initially leaked through the hinge. The replacement system took 2-3 months to install. after paying an additional $2500, it was finally replaced with the thinnest, cheapest glass you can ever imagine. We were so frustrated and worn out by this point, we have just lived with it. But, be forewarned--this is not a reputable company.

This place is a joke right? Granted it wasn't a huge overhaul of windows, instead I wanted a pane replaced for a sash window. Estimate was done quickly over the phone. I gave the receptionist the dimensions and told her that I wanted it re-puttied. I also asked her if they were willing to fill in some of gaps in the sash, she said it would be no problem (it never happened).

When I got the sash back, the putty was still drying and now there are dimples in it after handling it. What irked me the most out of this whole experience was the customer service by the lone receptionist. She told me that I would have to call to check up on the status of the work, they will not call us. We had to pay for the work in full before picking up the repair job.

Her attitude was terse and rude. I called her no more than an hour before coming in and when I asked for the window she cut me off mid sentence and asked "And the name is?" with that condescending inflection. Additionally, she had the gall to ask if I paid already. I told her that I would wait while she cross-checked with her records, instead she told me "no, I trust you" and gave me a smirk.

Before this, I overheard a customer ahead of me about a product that he "wanted yesterday". She apologized to him and assured him that the work will be done that afternoon. I love local business and would pay more for it, but I'm going to look for another local glass shop when the time comes again.

After calling other glass repair companies and not hearing any response, I turned to Yelp and found Stuart Glass. I set up an appointment over the phone, they came and measured my cracked window, and then returned to install the new glass the following week when it was convenient for me. Overall, they were great! Friendly staff and efficient service - I would definitely recommend them!

The customer service at this establishment was absolutely deplorable. They downright no-showed for an appointment and then when we called them to find out why, they said "we have other things going on". The front desk representative was rude, nasty and showed no customer service etiquette at ALL. Thank GOD we didn't actually give these people a dime!

Do not use this company! they took my deposit and i didn't hear from them for 6 weeks! when i called, the guy i spoke with had no idea what i was talking about and then never even called back when he said he was going to look into it. when they finally did the job, they charged me more than originally quoted even though they took 2 months to finally get it done. their story kept changing about what the problem was. aside from one woman who works there, their customer service is terrible.

Business done right! I needed to replace some glass from a picture frame, checked yelp, called Stuart Glass. I wanted to see if I could get it done while I waited, not a problem. I was helped and out the door in a few minutes. I will definitely return when I decide to be clumsy again or if I need glass for bigger projects.

Ok, so they forgot to move my inspection sticker when the wind shield was replace, which got me a ticket. I guess you will just have to make sure that all the items on the window shield is moved over when they place it for you.

Please avoid this business, the owner and employees are angry, insulting, and moreover, do a bad job for the money. The secretary was antagonistic, I was verbally abused by whom I believe to be the owner or management. Save the time and money, , don't shop at Stuart!
