Cedarbrook Lumber

Looking for some cheap cedar; that's an oxymoron I realize. But they did have some utility grade which will work for my application. They seem to be knowledgeable about saunas, helpful as well.

We needed cedar trim boards for our house. Finding it nearly impossible to locate the correct size at the big box stores, we discovered Cedarbrook on Highway 9. They milled what we needed on the spot. Dave and his team are great to deal with. Highly recommend.

Ordered, and paid for, my pre-cut sauna package in Feb 2021 and have not received a ship date yet. I have talked to them numerous times and have been told that it will ship soon. I'm getting concerned. Anyone else not receiving products in a timely manner?

I purchased a wood-fired sauna heater along with some odds-and-ends. I spoke to an employee by phone a couple of times, super helpful and knowledgeable. The stove arrived on-time, and in superb condition. Very nice crating! From what I've seen, I would certainly recommend them to anyone in the PacNW.

I received a glass door from Cedarbrook Sauna + Steam. They sent the incorrect hardware. While it took a minute to hear back from them, that is understandable given the timing. They sent me the correct hardware at no additional cost. The door looks great.

I ordered a Diamond light box for my finnish sauna, i was reading the reviews and i can see where people might think there a bit of rudeness going on however i discerned it is just the way those people are, lets stop being so sensetive.i called a ton of times and was probably a both.lol that said i recieved my box today sheer craftsmenship we love it!

One of the bulbs they sent did not work however i will say this was probably from shipping i called them up sending out another one. great company do not listen to the bad reviews people are just to sensetive Love it thanks guys!

Just received my door and Polar 60, shipping went smooth. Door is gorgeous, heater is exactly as described. I know several of us have had to wait quite awhile due to 2020 being a mess. Bare with the guys at CSS they getting hammered with orders. Thank you the fine craftsmanship I got my delivery at 11am, Sauna is up and running 3 hrs later!

Purchased a sauna heater after speaking with Brekke on the phone. Was told the item was in stock and he would hold it for me until the agreed shipping date a couple weeks later. That was in September 2020. After Cedarbrook missed the shipping date, I emailed and called but Cedarbrook did not respond to email and their voicemail box was full. After finally getting a hold of Brekke, he informed me the item was no longer in stock (no apology provided), a unit would be shipped direct from the manufacturer and tracking information was to follow within 24hrs.

After a few days I called and emailed again and it turned out he had not ordered the unit, and then called back to inform me it is on back-order. Rinse, repeat- I have been through several changed back-order dates and it is now nearly Jan 2021. They have blown out my sauna timeline completely, and in the process I have received some of the worst communication and follow-through I have ever experienced. Truly remarkable.

Amazing customer service! Had to cancel an order twice, once because I wanted to pay 50% upfront and the remainder on shipping, but had ordered online for full price and the last time because I couldn't make the electrical workout in my old house. Brekke is a caring and wants the best health for his customers. I do plan on eventually moving and buying a sauna from Cedarbrook when the install will work.

They are working tirelessly to make the saunas as fast as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic when demand has jumped from gym closures. Trust these are the people to buy from and not other NW companies with terribly rude CS agents.

Popped in to pick up some cedar and fair to say Brekke is a great guy! Hooked us up, and while we didn't go in thinking we needed a sauna, I'm definitely considering it! Having see some of the products these guys sell they are certainly excellent quality/value!

This place is great! I went in for a custom project and Dave (who is extremely helpful and knowledgable) was able to help finish it up. I went to the big box store first and even called around to some other lumber stores no one else could (or if they could, they would not) help me with this project. I called them as a last resort because lumber is the last thing in the name. I will call them first next time.

We have had our sauna for just about year now and could not be happier! It was easy to assemble and works AMAZING. It makes the cold months in Northern Minnesota a bit more tolerable! We have also tried a few of the fragrances and purchased some additional accessories for our sauna from Cedarbrook's online store - ordering is simple, quality is superb and the customer service is top notch. Keep up the great work Brekke and Team!

We bought a Cedarbrook sauna kit 30 years ago. We use it frequently, it still looks brand new, and we have never had any issues with the heater. The cedar was top quality so we still go back there for cedar for our ongoing projects. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, well worth supporting.

I bought cedar benches last year for our outdoor picnic table--easy assembly, nice benches. But the company didn't show their true colors 'til this year when we lost a 20' branch from our 250 year old sugar maple, destroying our aluminum picnic table. Miraculously, although the branch landed on one of the benches too, it only sustained damage to the feet on one side. After an email to Cedarbrook they quickly sent me the replacement AT NO COST, throwing in a few extra pieces of the cedar, "just in case." Call me their number one fan!

Several years ago, we installed a Cedarbrook Sauna at our Maple Valley three years ago, we moved to Ballard. We took our sauna stove with us and once again turned to Cedarbrook to provide just the right sauna for our new backyard. We have been completely satisfied with both saunas. Their pre-fab kit included everything we needed and we built it with no trouble. We LOVE using our sweet sauna, and it looks wonderful in our backyard. The stove continues to work great.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the quality and professionalism with Brekke and the team at Cedarbrook Sauna. I thought that you had to have someone local to do such work. boy was I wrong. In fact, it cost me less than half the price I was quoted in my area. The installation -- piece of cake! I even had some parts of my sauna custom made and they walked me through it from A-Z. Anytime I had a question, not only was it answered, it was "passionately" answered with the greatest attention to detail and speed.

I recall bugging them with at least 20 different questions prior to ordering - never did I feel pressured that someone was trying to "close the deal". I was very impressed on how quickly I received my order, and how efficiently they sent every single little piece -- perfectly labeled and cut (you just need to make some minor cuts and you're all set).

My finish carpenter was amazed on how easily they had labeled things and how available they were anytime he had a question (he really didn't have many). We built a custom 10,000 square foot home in S. California, and quality was not going to be skimped or jeopardized. The guys delivered a product that was amazing and well beyond what my wife and I were expecting. Thanks again Brekke and the entire team at Cedarbrook Sauna for making my dream sauna look even better than I had imagined!

Bend over backwards to help you. Have been a customer for decades. Special cuts and sizes never a problem. You need Cedar they are the people to visit.

I purchased a sauna door from them one month ago and I still don't have it, despite the fact that they said it would be 7-10 days. I have called and emailed to find out when it will be here and I was told it would ship last Monday and I'd have it by Wednesday or at least by the end of last week. Still nothing. They sent me "tracking info" which doesn't seem to be tracking for any source and they now they won't answer regarding which company they actually shipped with. At this point, I don't know that I'm ever getting the door, which has held up my entire project. DON'T BUY HERE!

What a fantastic business - I have only had great experiences with them over the years. My husband and I purchased a Sauna from them years back and still use it all the time - it's so great for those PNW wet days when you are chilled to the bone. They carry many different sauna sizes and we chose a small one that is perfect for our equally small house. It's awesome - heats up in only 15/20 minutes- complete heaven!

We have also bought cedar lumbar from them on several different occasions and I am always so impressed with the quality of the wood. Brekke is a dream to work with and truly a stand up guy - trust me, talk to him once and you'll know what I mean. We have referred many friends to Cedarbrook and they have always been beyond happy with their experience. Try them out for sure, you will be so happy that u did!

I will admit to being very confused over the prior commentary and ratings of this business. I had a very positive experience here and would highly recommend doing business at this establishment. Upon arriving there are many beautiful pieces on display from cedar planter boxes, picnic tables to saunas. The place is easy to find and access right off HWY 9.

I went in looking for a few pieces of cedar siding to match that already on our house. My home is older and the siding used is not standard in size. We (my husband and I) were greeted by two friendly younger gentlemen who were very polite and knowledgeable. The gentleman who helped us listened to what we were asking for and took us to where they had the material in the yard and showed us our options.

It was not a perfect match but close enough that we could easily rip the material down to size, as we only needed a small quantity this will be easy to cut to size. The pricing was more than fair and the gentleman helping us helped pick through the boards for the best to suit our needs (making sure there were no knots where we would need to rip the board down). My husband and I were and still are quite excited at finding a match for our old siding! Many thanks to Cedarbrook for their assistance!

The worst customer service experience ever. The guy working there was a real jerk and very offensive in his tone and manner, and very hot-tempered. I will state that it was not the owner, but it was someone who worked with him, and the owner happened to be out that day. I had a custom planter built and checked out at another, more well-known cedar company and they said the quality of work and materials was mediocre and I paid a lot more than I should have. When I called to talk to the owner, the same rude guy answered and was very angry that I asked for the owner and would not discuss why I was calling.

I wish I could give less than one star. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had a simple task but I do not have the tools for it and when I brought it to them the guy behind the counter basically told me to go home, rent a chainsaw and do it myself. Then the asshole walked out the front door in the middle of my question. I will never be back and I will never recommend Cedarbrook to ANYBODY EVER.
