I called on 03/17 to confirm if they have eastern sunrise pebbles and they said yes they for $7 for 40lbs. I called again to confirm before my long drive and they confirmed again $7 for 40lbs, keeping in mind I'm buying large quantities. Next day I drove an hour to buy it and the guy in the office tells me it's actually $7 for 35 lbs so I was like not a big deal.

I go outside to talk to the guy who's bugging the rocks and he tells me they only put 26 lbs only. I go back to the office to get clarification and they tell me " I got wrong information ", eventhough I called twice to confirm before I drive two hours in the current high gas prices. Basically they want to charge me 35% more than what I was quoted.

They didn't even Offer to adjust the price or even Offer an apology. This here I call bait & switch and bad business. I'll make sure everyone I know is aware of how they do business.

I sent the measurements along with a photo to Smokey Valley to get a price estimate to put rocks down in an area right next to my driveway. The area was longer on one side than the other because one side ran against the driveway. One side was 46' and the other side was 26' long. Both end pieces measured 18'. Without looking at the picture and seeing the 4 sides, they gave me a price quote for two separate areas.

I then went into the store to show a picture of my area and gave the measurements. They also quoted me the same amount. I am not a rock expert so I trusted the amount they said I needed for that space. Once delivered and spread, I noticed that we had WAY too much for the area. When I contacted the store and spoke to the manager, he did not care and said there is nothing he could do about it.

Being a small business owner myself, I know the value of customer service and good luck finding it at this store! Now I have to pay someone to come move the extra rocks to another location.

First made contact through email with photos of standard brown river rock to match. After calling to process my order the manager refused to deliver until I went personally to see the rock they had. Not wanting to drive 45 minutes to look at basic river rock I referenced the brown river rock that was shown on their website and said I'd like to order that product. The manager again refused to fulfill my order until I took my time to go to their yard. Very bizarre way to handle an order. Not buying from them again and not recommended.

Large selection and nice yard workers. My biggest issue is they don't publish their price list and dance around answering on the phone. Why? They don't really do the salesman thing there. No one is trying to upsell you. So, offer the prices upfront on the web and save everyone some trouble. When used in combination with a gravel calculator online it may even boost sales.

The gentleman there was super helpful, answered every question I had. Great price, cheaper than other location I looked at. Bought 2 boulders that transformed my yard. Highly recommended

Wow! What an organized business. They have a great selection with such ease to view everything. Delivered the next day. Placed exactly where i asked. On top of that they have the best prices in the area!

I've ordered multiple times, multiple products, for my home projects over the years from them. Every time was satisfactory to excellent. You have to understand they are a rock company, not an insurance company. If you leave them a message and they don't get back to you then boo hoo. Call them back. Don't leave a one star complaint because you need to vent all your latent anger issues. Bottom line, they are a good business for what they do.

Everyone was super nice and accommodating from the office girl to the yard help. The only issue I had was their delivery charge.first they want a minimum then they charge $85 to deliver. I can see the $85 if you order under the minimum but then give some kind of break on the delivery depending on the miles.

As a young women when I first pulled up I felt similar to when I have to go to a car mechanic. I'm aware I'm not very knowledgeable on landscape and materials. But when I walked in everyone was so helpful, explaining the units of measurement and how much it would take to do my project. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend.

This company was really great to work with, being especially professional and flexible in my experience with them. They accommodated me without question when I had a special request for my stone, and when I had a unique situation arise, the owner went beyond expected practices to help me resolve it. I can't thank them enough and highly recommend Smokey Valley when shopping for stone.
