From commercial to residential, Rogan Granite maintains one common goal for every installation: produce the finest product for our customers & make the process fun. I built my home in 1990 and Rogan Granite did my kitchen island, marble entryway and fireplace surround. They helped me in selecting the colors and I enjoy these choices everyday. I recently added more granite to my kitchen countertops and they helped coordinate the new granite color with the existing island.
I also used Rogan Granite on a kitchen and 5 bathrooms for a lake house in Wisconsin and have received many compliments on the granite choices in these rooms from visiting guests.

Highly recommend Rogan Granite for all your granite, marble etc. needs. They have done all the countertops in our house. Family owned and it shows in their focus on service! We recently had them do the counters in a bathroom with double sinks. I hope this photo shows the many intricate cuts that had to be made including mitered corners, cuts to fit around the tile and shower base etc. Thank you to the Rogans!

Avoid Rogan. They were great in the shop and over the phone, but their actual workmanship and customer service left me with a damaged countertop, a damaged backsplash, and a faucet in the wrong spot. When deciding where to get my countertops from, I visited several places. The first questions I was always asked were the kitchen faucet location and the approximate square footage.
When Mick Rogan came to measure, I was in the kitchen with him the entire time. Never once did he ask me a single question, nor did I ever receive a rendering of what the countertops would look like. I mistakenly assumed they had written down that I wanted my faucet on the right side when I was in the store or that the faucet hole would be cut when they came to install.
I also trusted they knew what they were doing, what to ask, and when. Imagine my surprise then, when they installed a countertop with a center faucet hole. Mick's response? "I've never had a customer put a faucet on the right side" and "how was I suppose to know?" Well, YOU ASK THE CUSTOMER! It doesn't matter what other customers want because this isn't their kitchen-it's mine. Plus, THEY NEVER SENT RENDERINGS prior to installation.
On the day of the install, I got a phone call that one countertop had a crack. Bob suggested they bring the damaged countertop anyways and put it in place so that we could have our backsplash installed (which was scheduled for the next day). Then, when the new countertop comes, they could slide out the old one and install the new one. He said to simply have our tile guy not caulk the bottom row of the backsplash.
I should've known better. Fast forward to when the replacement comes in a couple weeks later. lo and behold, the new countertop doesn't fit and they had to saw down some of the ceramic tile backsplash, chipping off the glaze. NO responsibility was taken for the fact that it was THEIR suggestion to bring up the damaged countertop, have the backsplash installed, then install the new countertop. NO responsibility was taken for the damaged backsplash that we now have to live with. Instead, Mick had the nerve to say that I wanted to ram the countertop in and suggested I should be thankful that he didn't charge me for having to come out a second time (because somehow, them cracking a countertop while cutting it or failing to notice the crack upon delivery from the manufacture is somehow my fault?). Then, on another section of countertop, they cracked both sides of our 100-year old, wood pantry and caulked incredibly heavy-handedly with an inappropriate color choice.
I emailed them photos of what it looked like and Robin agreed they could do better. Three weeks later, Bob came back out to remove the old caulk and redo it in a more appropriate color. He made the caulk look better, but LEFT DINGS AND SCRATCHES all over the new countertop from the tools he used. I emailed Robin about it and the response was that "doesn't even look like white quartz." I sent a follow up with photos that clearly showed the scratches and never received a response.
No surprise though since they had cashed our final check at that point. Finally, don't count on the accuracy of their pricing estimates or on getting a clear explanation when the price jumps up. We ended up being charged over 10% more than the original estimate. I was first told the price increased because the square footage estimate was off and because they needed to send two guys out for the job. (How is it possible to send one guy out when we're dealing with incredibly heavy quartz countertops?) Later, I was told it was due to the "custom shapes" of our countertops.
It was just a really disappointing experience. I felt so confident in my decision to use them and then everything just deteriorated with what felt like little attempt to remedy the situation.

We recently decided to update our kitchen with granite countertops. Although we were somewhat apprehensive about the project on a previously finished kitchen, we were put at ease from our first encounter with the sales representative, the measure specialist, and the actual installers. They were very respectful of our home and professional in every aspect of the removal of the old counter and installation of the new granite.
I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a similar project or for new construction. Beautiful and flawless end result. Thank you again to Everyone at Rogan Granite & Marble Tom and Laura Bodlak Crown Point Indiana

Friendly and Very Professional! We're extremely pleased with our new granite kitchen countertops! We always wanted to buy a granite countertop to help enhance our average kitchen, but we thought it would be too much for our budget to handle. I'm so thankful that we finally decided to stop in at Rogan Granite to discuss stone options with Susan, who was very helpful, because she made this dream a reality!
They had so many beautiful stones to choose from but it did not take long for us to find the one that would be a perfect fit for our home. Tom Rogan (a superb master in his craft) came to our home to take measurements and he used such high tech equipment to obtain precise measurements, it was very impressive. Our countertop was installed about 3 weeks later. Wow!
Everyone at Rogan was very professional and easy to work with which made this process go smoothly. I would highly recommend Rogan Granite because of their wonderful customer service and great prices!

Rogan granite was a great experience! From picking out the stone to the installation! They are so knowledgeable about their product! From what color, to size of my island to finish of the edges! They are professional, courteous, helpful and most of all a great company to do business with! I get the most compliments from friends on how beautiful the stone is and that the 2 seams are not even visible!
I absolutely love my new counter tops. I have a huge island (10ft) long with no seams! It is amazing! Great people to do business with! Friendly, courteous, great value, knowledgeable and punctual you can't ask for better! I highly recommend! Debbie Gallagher

Rogan has done two of our kitchens and they did an amazing job each time. Everyone we dealt with:sales, measuring, installation was an admirable professional! We researched every granite company in the area and the big box stores and it was obvious that Rogan takes pride in their work. If you want your stone done right.go with Rogan!

We received our new granite kitchen countertops on Friday May 25, so we've had 2 weeks now to evaluate the entire experience. Having taken on a huge remodel at this new home and dealing with several contractors, we have to say Rogan Granite was the most organized, professional, knowledgeable, and skilled contractor that has come through our new home. First, the initial call set us on a clear course that laid out the entire process and timeline to expect.
This was key for coordinating with flooring and kitchen appliance deliveries. Dave, the designer for Rogan, was a wealth of knowledge. Selecting granite for the first time can be intimidating but Dave made it so easy and walked us through all of our options. By the time Dave was done with us we felt very confident that we had found the right granite for us. Next, Tom came to the house to take all of our measurements with a machine that I swear is precise enough to assist with a NASA spaceship launch!
It was impressive, as was Tom's vast base of knowledge about the entire stone industry. It all made sense when you discover this was Tom ROGAN. the owner of the company! Talk about feeling like you are in good hands! Then came install day and these 3 guys, lead by Tom's son, Bob Rogan, had every move down pat as they installed these super heavy blocks of granite like they were as light as cardboard.
It was truly impressive. The cart they used literally seemed to walk itself up the steps leading into the house while carrying this huge slab of granite. Bob and his crew were super helpful with tips for caring for our granite and, in the end, even if we forget everything he said, he made us feel completely comfortable to call literally anytime we have any questions at all.
He really made us feel like we were becoming an extension of the Rogan family! The counters are beautiful! I've included pictures of before and after. Take a look for yourself. You can't go wrong with these guys. Well done Rogan!

We purchased our kitchen slab from Rogan. The service and product were both outstanding. The installation went smoothly and the service tech was very knowledgeable about the stone. He answered our questions thoroughly. David was our salesperson, he was friendly and showed us around the entire yard. Robin the scheduling coordinator was very courteous and made us aware of any changes in scheduling that were needed. All in all our experience was wonderful. We will use Rogan again if we have a future need.

Customer Beware Rogan Granite installed granite countertops in my kitchen 9 years ago. Prior to the installation process, I was instructed to purchase the kitchen sink and bring it to the showroom, as the sink would be installed in the factory before the installation of the countertops. I complied with the instructions, as I did not find this to be an unreasonable request.
About 2 years after the countertops and sink were installed I started to have leakage from the faucet. I didn't think much of it, other than I thought the faucet was much too expensive to start leaking so soon after purchased. As I noticed the faucet leaking excessively, I also notice the silicon around the edge of the under mount sink starting to fray.
I didn't think much of this either. I never called Rogan to inquire if this was normal. However, I did have to replace a $300 faucet, as it had really started to leak. I recently notice that the faucet was leaking again, which was really not my biggest problem. I also noticed that the front and back of the sink had completely detached from the granite.
I wondered how this could possibly happen, as this is a kitchen that is very seldom used. Perplexed, I couldn't understand how this could have happened. I thought when a sink was mounted it was mounted for the life. So, I called the company to explain the problem. I spoke to Robin several times on the telephone. During many of our conversations, she had problems trying to schedule a service call, as there was no one working in my area.
During other conversations, she promised to call back to schedule a service date, but she never did. When I called on another occasion, she stated she had made herself a note, and as soon as someone was available, she would call me. She never called backed. After weeks of not getting an appointment scheduled, I decided to stop in the showroom and show Robin the pictures of the sink, so that she was aware of the immediate problem, as I feared this sink would completely fall out.
I was greeted by two employees (male and female the names I don't recall), who informed that Robin was not working that day. I explained to the male representative my problem. I showed him the pictures of my sink; also directed him to a sink in the showroom and pointed out what I thought the problem could be. I also asked for the name of Robin's supervisor, as I thought I had been given the run around.
I was told that they would let her know I stopped in to see her. Robin never called, so I called her again. Robin informed me that the owner (Tom Rogan) stated that I threatened the staff when I came in the showroom and" he does not want to do business with me. " I explained to Robin that I never threatened anyone. They made reference to the gentlemen that I was with, indicating he was appropriate and non-threatening.
I guess they were surprised by his conduct and behavior, as he is a 6'3" 250 pound African-American male. I was accused of attacking the employees and being rude, which never happened. As a customer, I was disrespected and lied on. Mr. Rogan believed his employees, without ever having a conversation with the customer. Rogan never came back to repair the sink.
I had another company make the repairs. On assessment, it was determined that the sink was never installed properly. If you are looking for a company that will stand behind their work, this is not the company you want to use!

Working with the staff of Rogan Granite was great. They were so helpful with information about natural stone and how I was able to find a beautiful granite for my kitchen. The expertise of Mick in the fabrication of the stone and Bob and his crew doing the install, I am so thrilled with the fabulous kitchen I have, it's beautiful. Thank you Rogan Granite. I highly recommend Rogan Granite for your next Stone or Marble project.

We are contractors in northern Indiana and have done buisness with Rogan Granite for years. Not only have we used them for homes we've built or remodeled but for our own home. We wouldn't go anywhere else. The service we get is so personal, the attention to detail is unmatched, and the quality and product has never disappointed! They will go out of their way to see that the customer is happy and that their counter tops are made and installed with utmost care - this is one buisness that we have nothing negative to add - you won't be disappointed with their gorgeous products! From start to finish Rogan Granite was a pleasure to work with for my kitchen remodel. After looking at their huge selection of granite, I choose one that had a lot of color and movement. They had wonderful ideas on the design and layout of the granite for the countertops. They fabricated a raised bar with a laminated edge that gives the appearance of the granite being double thick.
This raised bar section adjoins with my living room and looks absolutely gorgeous. I can enjoy it from both rooms. My kitchen turned out beautiful! Such a great experience! Everyone was patient and knowledgeable with all of my questions! I would recommend Rogan Granite to my family, friends and anyone in the market for granite.

I was a little reluctant to even buy granite for our kitchen counters, but went ahead and started shopping around. There is a lot of granite to look at here and they were very helpful with narrowing down what would be best and in my price range. We ended up having about five different stones/styles that would work in our kitchen. We had trouble getting it down to a single type, so the salesperson who was helping us and was shown the layout and look of our kitchen picked a color and style that we had not even though about.
Even after we went ahead and set up installation, I was still second-guessing our decision on a dark counter. After installation, I was totally blown away with how great it looked. I am very glad that we trusted them with the counters and the sink. Everyone compliments us on our kitchen, and I willingly accept it even though it really came down to their experience.

The countertops I ordered turned out well, but I have one gripe -- they left a big cleanup job for me. Here's what happened: The hole that they previously cut for the bathroom sink needed to be enlarged after they installed the countertop, so they cut it onsite. Then the sink fit perfectly. Long after they left, I opened the cabinet doors in the vanity, and there was a huge mess that they left behind. Bits of stone and a ton of dust coated every surface of the inside of the cabinet.
I called Rogan Granite to report this, and tho they said clean-up is part of the job, they did not send anyone out to take care of it. I won't buy anything else from them.

Initially when you go into the store, the beautiful stone is what catches your eye.however, the sequence of how they conduct business is very misleading to the customer. The company has you to bring an estimate.reviews your estimate.and gives you a rough quote.then someone from their company comes out, remeasure and you don't find out for weeks that your measurement and their's is over a thousand dollar difference. Now, that is not how you conduct business, not to mention all of this was explained via email.
One would think a phone call would have been more professional. Then when you speak with the owner his verbal and nonverbal is just as bad as the business. He mentioned, I should be glad I am at least getting my deposit back. Although, he did verbalize it was their fault for waiting so long to communicate the difference. I have never been so dissatisfied as a customer paying thousands of dollars for service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

They did not seem to want our business. We have gotten quotes from 2 other places and both were comparable in price. They told us what their prices start at and they were in the same ball park as the others. We gave them all the information to give us a rough estimate and they said it came out a bit more due to the large size of one piece. It was 33% higher, that's more than a bit. Nice store and stone but clearly didn't want our job. In the future just say it's not a good fit instead of purposely pricing yourself out.

I can't say enough about Rogan Granite. This was my second experience with this friendly, knowledgeable company. First we used them in Chicago and then again in Valparaiso. The selection process was easy and fun- you could actually see the full slab of granite instead of the small samples in other stores. Installation was quick and easy and the final result is beautiful!
Our kitchen looks like a full remodel when all we changed was the countertops and sink (also purchased at Rogan Granite!). Highly recommend this wonderful family run business!

We just had our granite countertop installed and we are very happy with the finished product. From our initial consultation to install, Rogan was very helpful and professional throughout the process. We strongly recommend anyone interested in remodeling their kitchen/bathroom to visit Rogan and view their extensive collection of granite. Every time I had questions I was always able to get someone on the phone instantly. The work was non disruptive and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards. If we ever get around to redoing our bathroom, we will go with Rogan.

I am dreaming about when I can re-do a ktichen so I can use Rogan Granite! I spent time walking around their site and was amazed by the beauty of all the different types of stone they have. I love that they have them sitting out and you can see them all! I purchased a really lovely piece of a blue stone for a cheese serving platter and it is such a great piece! I also thought the staff there was really helpful and knowledgable about stone. I highly recommend this place- even if you have to drive from the city!

I emailed a few times and got some slow responses and it seemed like they didn't want to communicate via email. Okay, we decided to visit and were pleased to meet the 2 helpful, nice salesmen. It ended there. It seems they're reluctant to show you the price per square foot. They enter your kitchen's dimensions in the computer and give you each granite's group price for your total job.
So if you see a granite in the yard that's labeled "C" you know it's the amount they told you plus tax. This involved more math and made the process more confusing when every other place tells you it'll be "X" per sq. ft. installed. Okay, fine, onto the real problem. This was our first granite yard visit after deciding to redo our kitchen in October 2011.
We saw many home improvement stores' displays and wanted to see our first yard. All I can say is that we found shopping for granite *IN*doors much more enjoyable. Viewing granite outside on a hot, blinding sunny day proved very difficult. It was almost impossible to actually see the granite for what it would look like inside your home. The sun was blinding, even with sunglasses.
I rather see granite in a darker room than in full sun. It may look great in full sunlight but what does it look like in my 1-window kitchen with artificial lighting? We found their prices to be high. For instance, Santa Cecilia was a "C" class and would work out to approximately $53/sq. ft. + tax (no free sink at any price), whereas the company I ended up going (Factory Plaza) was $36/sq. ft. + tax with a free sink over $1500.
I didn't end up with Santa Cecilia but you can see the price difference! I gave them a 2nd chance; I really wanted it to work. We went to Subway and came back an hour later and it just didn't work out. Then when we finally moved on and had already selected another company to go with, they give me a call, being helpful. A little too late, sorry. They have nice granite, they're a nice family company, not a bad place to look at, but it just didn't work for us.

This is a fun place to visit. I spent hours there with two other people. All three of us successfully chose our granite and got quotes. The prices were comparable to several other granite stores in the greater Chicago land area. The sales people are pros and will help you figure out the right stone for your budget and project. I would return based off of this trip- I will update this review after the install! _______ Not one single complain. Scheduling install and payment was as easy as possible. Service was efficient and professional. Great job!
