Many years ago. My mom and I went to Henson Building Materials at Black Mountain. Just buy more nails and tools.

Chris was extremely busy but made time to work on a door quote for us.

I ordered 40# bags of concrete, got 80# bags. Rental mixer couldn't handle 80# bags. Called ahead to pick up order placed 6 weeks prior, was told it was ready. It was incomplete and had items that were incorrect as well as some on backorder.

Great for building materials and household supplies. Staff are friendly but some not always helpful, though they're no longer there.

Very poor customer service. An apparently they do not like to honor the warranties that come with their products and services. We have called numerous times, went into the store twice. An all we get are excuses and the run around. Save your money and take your business else where. I know Black Mountain is a buy local community, but you are not suppose to be ripped off when you try to support local businesses.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Electrical Inventory wasn't as plentiful as I was hoping for but over-all I really wasn't disappointed. A good place to shop, I will shop there again.

Never been here except one time a few days ago. Dude at the counter was hatful. I stepped up to the counter and he yelled "SIR STEP BACK BEHIND THE LINE" loudly and hatefully. I told him I needed a one sheet of plywood and when I paid for it I pretty much had to throw him my debit card. I couldn't reach the counter from the line. I understand the social distance and didn't think about it when I stepped up to the counter but he could of been nicer about it.

Then I asked where the plywood was he said mmmmnmm. Talk to one of the guys in the yard and I said ok where is that and he just pointed. Bunch of other rude gestures was given but needless to say I'll never be back. And I honestly have never left or have given anyone a bad review until now.

We love the ease of swinging by here to pick up our material for jobs. The customer service is great and the products are much better quality than Home Depot or Lowes. Highly recommend!

This is a very clean and we'll laid out floor plan. They also have to come up and help you immediately for anything that you may be looking for that they have. I personally and just a tad bit disappointed because I seen a hiring sign on the door and they had just forgotten to take it down so I'm a little hurt but everything happens for a reason. No reason to blame the store it was a great store!
