Services
In 1987, the concrete assets of the original Nevada Ready Mix were sold to a newly-formed company, the current Nevada Ready Mix Corporation, a Delaware Corporation. NRM is wholly owned by Mitsubishi Cement Corporation Development. Mitsubishi Cement Corporation purchased NRM in 1987 and the Lone Mountain Gravel Pit in 1988.
Nevada Ready Mix has supplied concrete for hundreds of thousands of residential foundations in Las Vegas, Nevada. A few clients we previously and currently provide concrete for are: Marnell Companies, M.J. Dean Construction, Perini Construction, Tutor-Saliba Construction, Penta Building Group, Bomel Construction, The Boring Company, New-Com Incorporated, W.A. Richardson Builders, Malcolm Dilling, William Charles Construction, Martin-Harris Construction and Keller North America, Inc.
Nevada Ready Mix produces every conceivable type of concrete. From non-specified Flowable Fills to 10,000 PSI; from lightweight to white cement, we can meet your needs. Recently, our Research & Development Lab produced a mix that reached 10,000 PSI in 3 hours! Our top selling Mix Design is 10,000 PSI, which meets Clark County Building Specifications for sulfate-resistance.
The Lone Mountain Gravel Pit is the backbone of Nevada Ready Mix. This Colluvial deposit sits at the base of the Spring Mountains in Northwest Las Vegas. The limestone and dolomite mined at Lone Mountain is the best concrete aggregate available. We also produce sand and gravel for the Nevada Department of Transportation and Clark County Public Works.

On the 215 this at 7:45am two Ready Mix trucks entered 215 South. One on a green light the other on a red light as we had the green light turning onto 215 south. So took our time at approx 25 mph getting on the expressway. I turned on my signal to enter the middle lane and proceeded to try and get up to speed limit. At approx 48 mph truck #391 WITHOUT a signal swerved over in front of me cutting me off and requiring anti lock brakes to keep from hitting the cement truck.
Which also caused MANY vehicles behind me to also slam on brakes, some swerved to miss me at this point. This is OUT OF HAND! I have taken this route to work of rover 12 years and the amount of trucks has increased tremendously while their driving skills are next to none! My next contact is BBB and State Highway Patrol to file a complaint.

Best quality concrete in town. always surpasses the required PSI strength they are always 5000 psi within 7 days when the plans require 5000 psi in 28 days allowing us to continue building and not wait for the strength. Other companies we have used do not get to the required strength in 7 days slowing us down.

I will never do business with this company again. I called to order a concrete delivery 5 days prior to the day I was going to pour. I asked for a pump mix obviously because I needed to pump the concrete. Instead of mentioning that they have three different "types" of pump mix, Michelle gave me a price and assured me the concrete would be there at the time and date.
When the date arrived, the pump company showed up early and we got everything set up. The concrete was supposed to show up at 10am, but when I had not heard from Nevada Ready Mix, I called to check if they were on time. Michelle answered and said, "No, that load is not going to be on time." No call, no communication, until I called. I told her my pump was waiting.
She called me back around 1015 am and said the concrete will arrive around 10:45 and she would give me a $50.00 discount. I explained the pump guys charge $200 per hour. After negotiating, Michelle said $100 was the best she could do, then asked, "Or do you want to cancel your load?" Of course I said No because I wanted to get my job done, but hindsight, I should have cancelled.
When the truck finally arrived around 11 am, it was a 3/4 inch mix, which would not work in the pump. Nowhere on my bill did it say, "pump mix" but Michelle in dispatch insisted this was a pump mix and I should have told her if I wanted 3/8 gravel mix. At no time did anyone (Michelle) who sells concrete for a living, ask me what size gravel mix I needed even though I told her I was running the mix through a pump.
She just assumed. By the way, I worked construction for 12 years, and this "pump mix" was standard concrete mix. Nevada Ready Mix knew that they made a mistake, but instead of trying to provide a solution, Michelle asked, if I would like to pay for a second load they would send one out, while in the same breath, telling me this is all my fault. Of course they were not willing to even negotiate a discount at all, or admit that the miscommunication may be even partially there responsibility.
Long story short, I had to wheelbarrow the entire load in order to avoid paying an additional $1000 for NRM's mistake. When I attempted to call the business to speak about the issue, I was forwarded to a voicemail box. Obviously this business has no consideration for their clients. I never asked them for anything, just wanted to explain the issue.
Guess I wasn't that important in their eyes. This company does not give a f#%! about you and I almost believe they will make these mistakes on purpose, just to take advantage of the little guys. If I didn't have the manpower or equipment on hand to solve this issue, they would have milked an additional $1000 dollars out of me. If I could give them zero stars I would.
