Truss

Owners Bob and Judy Wolford purchased Truss-Co., Inc. in 2005. Judy is our office manager. Bob Wolford is a Western Slope native, who enjoys raising cattle on his ranch in Ridgway in his "spare" time. For many years, he was the Ouray County Road and Bridge Superintendent. He has been a carpenter and home builder all of his life.

Truss-Co., Inc. builds all of its trusses to exacting standards set forth by the ANSI/TPI (American National Standards Institute/Truss Plate Institute), and in compliance with the building code applicable to the locale in which the trusses will be erected. Wood roof trusses are assembled with dimensional and graded lumber appropriate to the individual truss design, and connected with steel plates that are pressed into the lumber with hundreds of pounds of pressure, thereby creating a strong truss system that safely transfers the weight of roofing materials to the bearing walls of a structure.

Your trusses will be designed here in our office by one of our experienced designers. We can receive plans by e-mail (a "dwg" file is best, but ask if you have questions), regular mail, and sometimes by fax. Bonus: We'll talk to you directly. We'd love to use our state-of-the-art 3-D computer program to show you what your truss design will look like.

How to Send Us Your Plans for a Quote - Plans may be sent via e-mail (a "dwg" file is best, but ask if you have questions), regular mail, and call for fax. If you like, you can meet with the designer in person or by phone to discuss your project. Truss designs for simpler jobs may not require a set of plans at all.
