Many small town youngsters who had never been away from the family farm found themselves flung straight into the middle of World War II after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Those who were fortunate enough to return home intact had learned skills that they could not have imagined when they first reported to their draft boards.
Your family is important to you. Whether your family involves your significant other, your kids, or your pets; the people that matter most to your deserve a safe space to come home to after a long day at work or school, and residential roofing plays a significant role. Without a roof over your heads, you and your family are exposed to rain, sleet, snow, and the hot summer sun.
Hail can damage your shingles, siding, or gutters without any visible signs from the ground. Hail normally has to be at least the size of a golf ball before it will break through your shingle and cause bruising. If driven by high winds or if it hails for more than a few minutes, your roof will suffer from loss of protective granules.

Had an appointment with John Beal but the guy never showed up. Had to call the office. When he did show up he walked around my house in his bare feet. While I appreciate him not tracking mud in my house perhaps booties would have been more appropriate. And I never got the quote he promised. Would NOT recommend John Beal -unreliable!

I have complete faith in the integrity and honesty of this company. Several years, I wanted someone to check my roof, so I asked my insurance agent who I could trust and the agent recommended Beal. The representative told me my roof was fine, and did not try to sell me anything. Recently, there was some damage to my roof from a storm, and they appeared promptly and gave me a fair an honest estimate for a repair. Again, they did not try to sell me a new roof, although both the agent (Brent Anderson) and the repairman (Ryan) said we would probably have to replace it in a few years. The repairs were done competently and earlier than expected. My thanks to both of these nice gentlemen and to Megan who coordinated the repair.

What a great experience I had working with John Beal roofing. I win advertently stumbled across a roofing issue while our contractors were working on something else inside the house. John Beal Who was the roofing contractor for this house many years ago. We have only lived here four years and had not had any issues until now. Within a few days, Will was out looking at it.
And very quickly Tara put us on the schedule and communicated well what was to be expected. They even got us in earlier than the original date! Josh was the tech, was super awesome also! Hi highly recommend John Beal!

William came to my home to do an inspection for a leak in my roof, and said it looked like a very simple fix, which led me to believe this would be on the affordable side. He later sent us an estimate for $900 for the work to be done, which shocked me a bit. All they had to do was call our home warranty company and run the estimate by them, and they could have our money, but it's been 8 business days and he hasn't done it. I've called every single day and heard a receptionist ask "how they can make me smile today" which feels very ironic as this hole in my roof sits and sits.
I needed them to make one phone call and I would have given them whatever they asked just to have an intact roof. I give up. Giving 2 stars because William was pleasant and kind, but this was insanely frustrating and I hope the damage isn't getting worse.

I was told my siding would be installed mid July (paid the required deposit in June) after multiple calls, siding was finally dumped in my front yard in October, where is sat until mid November. I could have forgiven that if the work hadn't been so poorly done. When I asked that they come and fix the issues, I was told it was "good enough" and they would do no more.
I ended up contacting the attorney general - turns out they are very familiar with John Beal! Only after filing a complaint with the attorney general did they come out and fix the issues. Worst experience ever!

Not even deserving of the one star. I have had three separate repairs done by them and every time it's a half assed job and not been fixed. The three different roofers all sighted a different issue and said the guy before them didn't know any better. That to me, means everyone is an absolute hack. The fourth and final time I called them the guy told me we had to redo the whole roof.
I said fine because I was ready to be done with them. I then paid the guy more than necessary for the deposit and never heard front he guy again. He put me straight to voicemail and never called back even after a MONTH'S time. Every time I called the office they told me he was "busy with another customer". What's worse than terrible service is lying to a customer.
At that point I said no more. I got all my money back and asked they never call about a follow up. I urge everyone here to avoid John Beal Roofing. Actually, if John Beal is anything like his company stay away from him too. Slime ball.

Well, I did my research and determined John Beal was ok to deal with. The salesman, Rich was very informative, explained everything that I asked. One day they delivered the material and the roof was to be put on in a few days as agreed. Roofing day came, the workers started at day break, worked hard, few breaks. The down side, nobody spoke English.
The upside, they did a good job. Maybe because as the homeowner, I was watching the whole procedure. I would use them again and supervise again. I must say, they were good at picking up after the job.

All three installs had delays or multiple delays. Two of the three installs demonstrates poor workmanship and customer service. I have been inconvenienced for all of the following ways; a lot of phone calls with scheduler, moving material in and out of garage, time away from work to meet with area warranty manager, retrieving our loose dogs, cleaning up after installs, and now to submit this complaint to the BBB.
This home improvement project has take 9 months and not all due to weather delays. Separately, each of the 3 installs actually took less a day to complete. Amazingly, 3 days of work spanned over 9 months. I would have given 0 stars, if possible.

** Homeowners Beware ** John Beal is charging me $1415.80 for a free estimate for interior work not completed. When I told them I will not pay anything the insurance company didn't approve the sales agent Armand Mosotti harassed me for 2 days until I told him to leave me alone. He said it was overhead & profit for the work not completed & I needed to pay it because it's his commission.
Their contractor lied about costs upfront then stood me up to bring me samples for my floor. It took me several calls to get an estimate sent to my insurance for carpet replacement. When I asked my salesman if I can use my own contractor he said sure because their contractor "the Snyders" was too busy anyways. I caught them lying to me too. Their contractor sent in an estimate for cleaning my carpet & said the adjuster said the insurance said they would only pay for cleaning the carpet.
Both the 3rd party adjuster & my insurance company told me beforehand that the adjuster could not make any decisions because he was a 3rd party. My new roof leaked several times after replacement & had to have them come back several times. When my insurance company said they wouldn't pay the overhead & profit of $1415.80 was for phone calls made to their contractor & the insurance company.
Now they are threatening to put a lien on my house for work not completed. *** update *** John Beal resent me 2 copies of the original disputed invoice, & 2 other versions of the invoice via email in the same day. On the same day, I told my sales agent, Armand Mossotti & texted him that I will pay what my insurance company approves when I receive the ins check.
They opened a lawsuit against me 3 days after they sent me the 3 different versions of the invoice & refused to wait for the insurance to approve the invoice or wait for the insurance check. I never received the revised invoice(s) in the mail. The last invoice they moved most of the disputed amount to the roofing section & took it out ooh the work not completed section. I paid in full after my insurance approved it & the day after receiving the check.

I called them to fix a leak and wasn't sure where it was coming from. The guy makes a guess on where it is and I'm out $1004 and still have leak in my kitchen. Told me I had warranty so if something goes wrong I can contact them. I call them and their frontman acts like he don't know what that is and said it will be a new estimate to fix it.

We live in Florida and needed a new roof for a home in O'Fallon that my two handicapped children live in. This company not only gave me a fair estimate for the job, they kept in constant touch with me throughout the job until it was completed. Very impressed with the way they did business. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I can't even say how pleased we are with our new roof! The team from John Beal roofing did an AMAZING job.really going above and beyond, at a price that was honest and fair. Our roof was in really bad shape.and now our whole house is shining because of these delightful people. The work crew was outstanding, professional and thorough. I would highly recommend John Beal roofing and their entire staff. With all the fly-by-night organizations out there.this is a company you can trust.

December, I had the 1st roof replaced only to find out Owens Corning had defective shingles. May 13th they put on the 2nd roof that looks like it was put on by 5th graders in training. Brand new shingles, looks horrible. Mark Beaupre is the so called inspector with 40 years experience. I've done 2 roofs to know that all the shingles are suppose to flat. Worst representative for customer satisfaction I've ever dealt with, and I deal with multiple contractors at US Steel.
I only wish I had investigated there reviews way before. I'm suing for my money back so I can have it replaced so it looks good enough to sell. That was my whole intent.

I recently used John Beal to install a new roof - after having used them in the past for some minor storm damage repairs - and couldn't be happier. Beginning with Nate and finishing with Jorge and his excellent crew my wife and I are very happy with our new roof. All the people I encountered with John Beal were easy and pleasant to work with.
The crew was excellent and the clean-up was more than expected. They even cleaned up a broken flower pot that I had broken the day before (but had not yet gotten around to picking up) and it was impossible to tell that a roof was replaced earlier in the day. Our roof looks great and I no longer worry when we get spring storms. Hats off to John Beal Roofing!

I gave this company 1 star only because they responded quickly to our needs. We had leaking around our chimney into our attic. They spent 10 min on our roof and supposedly repaired or resealed it. The cost was $375, and now we have leaking in the same area. I called those office and was told in order for us to have a warranty on the work it would have been $975. Ridiculous. Try a different company, probably would be the same cost but maybe the work would be better and possibly they would stand behind their work.

Liers, scamers, ripp offs, they were told to call when they arrive, as i want to be there. And do not climb on my new roof, ( gutter repair is the job). I wait a week for bid. Drive 40 miles in rush hour traffic, sit from 4 till 5 pm, no call no show. Wait they left a bid in door. Holy crap. $350 BUCKS TO NAIL THE MESS BACK UP, OR 690.00 TO REUSE MY Old gutter, replace mounting board. Holly cow, all the other bids were 375.00 to 400 to replace a 14 ft new seamless gutter & Facia board, calk 1 leak.
