The Glass Garden began in 1998 with a 300 square foot studio, and we have expanded over the years to what is now over 3,600 feet! We attribute this largely to our excellent customer service, as we are always personally available to help answer your questions. We teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced glass art classes and stock a large selection of products--including over 1,000 different kinds of glass! We offer custom design and construction of pieces made to your individual taste, either in stained glass, etching and/or carving.

We offer a wide variety of classes for people who have never had glass-cutting experience, as well as those who have experience! We have workshops where you can improve your skills while enjoying the company of other crafters/artists. We also have a continually changing selection of one day make-and-take classes using a variety of techniques, including mosaic, fusing, and etching!

I'm taking a Beginner stained glass class. I'm enjoying it. There is much more to making a piece than I had thought! The shop has so much to offer. Their classes seem to fill pretty quickly. Nancy helped me pick out glass for my project & will teach a couple of the classes. Judy is the owner & has taught the first couple. I find her to be knowledgeable & helpful.

Glass Garden is one of the best places in Janesville! Yes it's great if you are into stained glass and if you want to learn all about it. This is the place! She (Judy) has tons of classes for beginners to advance and some that require no knowledge. You can have group parties. Or if you are just looking for a unique gift for someone. This is the place. An all around great place! Love it!

I stopped in here briefly today to scope out how much space there would be for the drinks and snacks my group will be bringing to our private class in about a week and a half. Looks like a nice shop.a glass artist's dream, really. If you can get to this shop, I am sure you will have a positive experience. The catch is GETTING THERE, and then finding a place to park.
This is located on the WEST side of the river. The block of West Milwaukee At. this place is located on is closed for construction, as is the bridge that crosses the river in the block just before you get to this place if you are coming from the East. There are various parking lots in the vicinity but you have to know where you are going to find them.
If you go on a Saturday morning like I did, there is street parking available. But you will have to walk about 2 blocks. My private party will be occurring in the afternoon in the middle of the week. I am not expecting to find parking easily. :-
