Services
Incredible projects crafted from marble, quartz, granite, quartzite and other exotic stones. Natural stone is the king of countertops. Every stone is unique and one of a kind. Visually stunning, and requiring minimal maintenance, natural stone is used to create incredible kitchen countertops, fireplaces and vanities.
This material is a manmade product consisting of crushed stone bound together by an adhesive. Perhaps one of the largest benefits of quartz surfaces is that they are stain- and heat-resistant, making them easy to maintain. Quartz slabs are available in larger sizes with a variety of endless color options.

After much research regarding the type of natural stone we wanted for our kitchen and the importance of fabrication, we decided to visit Fordham Marble. Mayson, immediately greeted us with much enthusiasm and attention. We were specifically interested in Taj Mahal quartzite. Within less than an hour, we decided to contract with Fordham Marble. We look forward to picking out our slab as the project moves along.
We anticipate that Fordham will perform a wonderful job precision cutting the slab, installing it and spending time with us to select the slab perfect for us. We look forward to our continuing relationship with Mayson and crew! Many thanks, Joan and Brent.

Disaster. They had several issues with product and pricing, then became simply rude and unprofessional. If anything goes wrong they accuse you or wrong doing. They offer big price discounts when asked which get them to a fair price. There are a lot of good places to work with, my experience with this crew is buyer beware and as long as there are no issues you are fine. If anything goes wrong the owner is rude and unprofessional. When done with this crew you will need to take a shower, stay away.

Had a small kitchen project, sales people were very helpful but what arrived after I payed full price was horrible. Inaccurate measurements, bad install, huge Seams and wrong depth for one piece of countertop. Replaced one piece and still it was wrong. Horrible beyond words and difficult reprise to get it fixed. Still not resolved as they dismissed me. If you have average job, please don't use Fordham. Horrible service to resolve if not ever.have photos should you want to see their install.

I have never been treated this badly! The Sales Manager overpromised and could not deliver. I had a rather small job and was told that I could see samples within a week. When I reached out 8 days later, I was told that samples are not available for me to see and that the timing was out of his control. That same person reiterated a few times that it was a small job and basically a waste of his time. So rude! Well, he lost a small job, but he also lost a big job in the future. Please save yourself some time and go elsewhere. There are better places out there!

UPDATE(4/28/21): After trying multiple ways to fix our stone, it was decided that it not salvageable. Fordham Marble is going to change out the stone at no cost. We are waiting for the perfect slab to come in, and once that job is done I will update this review again. For now 4 stars! Original Post: We chose this company because they had beautiful stone for our kitchen at a really great price.
We decided to do a quartzite countertop because, as we were told, it would be very low maintenance and sturdy. We took a sample of the stone, tried to etch it, did an acid test, and even had it independently confirmed that it was indeed quartzite(sometimes stone sold as quartzite is not actually quartzite, so this was important). Our entire kitchen look was based around the look of the quartzite we selected from Fordham.
After we selected our stone and put a deposit to hold our 2 slabs of stone, our original salesperson left the company. This was not a huge deal, but we only found out when we reached out to ask a few questions. We moved forward and everything went well with the installation. That's when the issues began. At first we noticed staining on the stone itself.
We were very confused, because the first stains were not in areas of our island we had even used yet. Then the area of the stone right around the stove became covered with grease stains from normal cooking. We contacted Fordham and they told us it needed a different sealant, something that was not offered before the stone was installed. They sent someone out to look at the stone, he put some stuff on a couple of the "larger" problem areas, which was supposed to remove the stains.
Not only did it not work, it actually made the staining worse. Since they came to "fix" the problem, they have not responded to any of our emails. We were able to get them on the phone once, and we were told they were sending someone out that week; that was 6 weeks ago. At this point, we will likely have to hire another company to try to fix the issue, if it's even solvable.
This is extremely disappointing, especially considering this stone is the anchor point of our kitchen. Something obviously went wrong, and they have been unwilling to fix it.

We hired Fordham Marble to replace our existing kitchen counter tops. The morning of the install two men arrive bright and early. Upon entering the house we were told the existing tops needed to be removed. What? After a call to the office add $1000.00 Once they finished and left we started putting back the cabinet draws. Guess what. Yes two draws won't close because they don't fit under the new counter. What? Another call to the office and.you guessed it we were told we need to hire a carpenter to fix the draws. What? Buyer beware!

I cannot say enough about our experience at Fordham Marble. We went to a number of places to look for countertops and a backsplash, but no one could match the selection or the personal service we received at Fordham. Mayson was amazing in helping us find the exact right stone - and really honest about what he thought would and wouldn't work with our design. (That kind of honesty is priceless.) Then, once we chose our counters, the measuring, fabrication and installation was flawless. We're thrilled with how things turned out, and I would recommend Fordham Marble to anyone.

Just had a countertop for my kitchen installed and it looks amazing! This is my second project with them and really enjoyed the whole experience. The stone is prefect and everything was cut the way it should be. The installation crew was methodical about getting everything shaped, installed and cut properly when they were into house. Highly recommended!

FORDHAM MARBLE- STAY AWAY- RIP OFF and RUDE Fordham Marble was awful. Their customer service is an embarrassment. I have done several kitchens in the city and country and have never had this nasty service and complete rip off. I have never had problems with Masonry companies with any of my many renovations until I met Fordham Marble. The attitude comes down from the owners. Initially, I was introduced to them by our cabinet company, which is a very high end European established cabinet company. However, when all the chips and holes started appearing I contacted our kitchen company who told us they NO LONGER were using Fordham, they explained that Joyce and her husband were rude to their customers and that every time something was wrong or had a question they got defensive and rude and would not stand behind their work. Unfortunately, when I contacted Fordham to come and look ( by the way this was an expensive job we did in our city apartment) they got nasty and defensive and said that it was not a new job.
As if that's an excuse for marble to develop holes. I explained that the black holes should not be happening, we have sealed and resealed the marble several times a year and am extremely careful in our handling of the stone. Joyce was nasty and accusatory from the get go. Its now been a year of me calling and emailing to get them to come and take a look and see what can be done. Joyce is either "not in her office" or "in the showroom" but I never get a call back and its been a year. SHAMEFUL. Stay away from FORDHAM MARBLE they were a rip off and nasty. There are many good stone companies but FORDHAM MARBLE is NOT one of them.

Fordham Marble in Stamford, CT exceeded our expectations. We recently renovated a large kitchen and used Fordham for counters and tile. Joyce Sardo was amazing. She listened to our needs and asked questions to get a sense of our "style". She worked with us from start to finish. The end result was nothing short of spectacular. She provided not only advice on design but effectively served as a general contractor.
Her recommendations for installers and the hands-on attention she gave to our project helped ensure it was done by our deadline. The installers she recommended were top notch as well, professional and high quality work. No matter the size of your project Fordham can help. I highly recommend Fordham Marble and we will be using them again for our bath remodels. -John (Westport, CT)

We worked with Fordham Marble on a remodel of our kitchen and 4 bathrooms. Mayson was amazing at working with us to understand our design style and what we were trying to accomplish to create a wholistic look for our home. He made sure the tile installer had detailed specs on how the tile should be laid out for the install to avoid any miscommunication.
We were very happy with our experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fordham based on quality, selection, service and value for money. Also Lou the installer for the countertop in our kitchen is a master!

We recently completed the remodel of our Master and Guest bathrooms. After visiting numerous stores we purchased our tile and countertops here. We had the pleasure of working with Mayson. He listened to what we wanted and was always available to answer our questions (both in person and via email). After a number of conversations with Mayson we returned to the store where he laid out a beautiful selection of tiles for each of our bathrooms.
He totally understood the look we were trying to achieve. Our bathrooms look even better than we imagined and what we thought would be an overwhelming experience was truly enjoyable one! Mayson and his team were one of a kind.

My countertops are amazing! The quartzite is beautiful. Fordham marble was very professional and helpful. The beautiful showroom has the most wonderful displays. Joyce, who helped me was so kind and patient. All the people involved-Dimitri who did the templates, the foreman who cut the stone-and did it so seamlessly, Elias and Robert who did the installation--all did an excellent job and were pleasant to work with. I am very pleased with my experience working withFordham Marble and the excellent outcome.

Stopped in and spoke to Mayson the owner. He showed me some slabs and told me he would give me contractor pricing which is a substantial $30-40 discount. Told me to come in the next day with my layout and wife to select a slab. Dealt with his sales lady Wendy the next day who was informed about the contractor pricing. She was nice but pricing came back at $105 /sq foot for the least expensive stone on the lot.
I ended up getting the exact same marble from a place in Norwalk for $52. What a waste of my time. Full price would have been $145 sq foot, again for the least expensive stone on the entire lot.

Fordham Marble is One of a Kind! My new Kitchen is Awesome! I Love IT! Many thanks to Mayson and the Team! The dedication and professionalism of Mayson and the team will always be a memorable experience. Such professionalism was seen from the showroom to the installation of my granite counter tops. Everyone seems to have the same characteristics of pleasing the customer to the fullest.
And such characteristics are so natural and authentic. The environment is warm, inviting, and exciting. Also, the marble selections are truly awesome with so much to choose from. Fordham, thanks again for Everything!
