Up to 60% of a home's Energy Loss is caused by air leakage through the ceiling into the attic, mainly through the Attic Access opening, also called "attic hatch" or "scuttle hole". The U.S. Department of Energy describes that an Attic Access is a "big hole in the ceiling". Adding an insulated cover and weather-stripping to an attic access can reduce air infiltration and energy-loss through this passageway.
Whole house fans are a great useful product for saving energy in your home when used for cooling purposes in the Spring, Summer and sometimes Fall months. The problem is that during the seasons when your Furnace or Air conditioner is in use the whole house fan shutters leak all of this heated and cooled air through the ceiling shutter into the attic and out the roof.
1. Attic Ladders, also called Folding Attic Ladders, Attic Stairways, Pull-down Stairs, or Folding Attic Stairs are useful devices for accessing your attic space, but when installed a large (10 square feet) uninsulated opening is created in your ceiling robbing you of your energy dollars! 2. The ladder door itself is 1/4 thick plywood that does not seal around the perimeter of the door, creating air leakage directly into the attic 24 hours a day. It's like leaving a window cracked open all year round!

Mr. Patio cover did a fantastic job with the patio cover. They were very responsive and professional throughout the entire process. Once I was able to obtain the HOA approval, they were able to quickly take it from there, obtain the city permits needed and did a fantastic job with the build. The patio cover fits in perfectly with my house. The did an excellent job matching all the surfaces and took great care to cut all the measurements perfectly. Jaime and his colleague went above and beyond to help me place the fan and lights where I wanted them and did a very good job with the wiring.
They pulled the electric from my front porch light and created a couple plugs which were very attractively placed with excellent wire concealment so the product has a very finished look. The same goes for the switches for the fan and LED lights which are located on the post (wired in a very attractive way). The whole team went way above and beyond to make sure that the finished product was exactly what I wanted. I could not be more happy with how it all turned out.

Our experience with Mr. Patio Cover was excellent from start to finish. We got quotes from 3 companies, and they were the most affordable. They were responsive and professional every step of the way - from scheduling our quote, to providing additional information when requested, to scheduling the install. The install was quick, and the crew cleaned up as they went. The end product is absolutely beautiful. We couldn't be happier!

I was extremely pleased by how professional, patient, and kind Mr. Patio Cover's crew was throughout the entire process of ordering our custom patio cover; from their Salesperson Eric, office staff Noah & Laura, to their patio installers. The crew arrived on the day of install and reviewed my order with me to make sure every detail was understood before they began working.
They treated my backyard as if it was their own which I greatly appreciated. They kept the work area organized and clean. I'd say within 6 hours our new Patio cover was up! My wife and I love our new Patio cover! I would highly recommend Mr. Patio Cover to my friends or family.

I've had many remodels done in my home and Mr. Patio is one of the best I've experienced in all my home projects! Here's why: (They are worth more than 5-Stars in my book!) 1. From the initial visit and quote - Eric (New Owner) has been very professional/informative. Very pleasant to talk to and knows his stuff! 2. Order of Materials: Took about close to 6 weeks and understandable. 3. Schedule: Received a call and booked Patio Installation. 4. Implementation: Arrived as scheduled around 8:30 am Sal - Lead Sup went over the work in detail prior to the installation.
Crew - (Chrisansio, Limon, Arturo) - All great workers! Very thorough and pays attention to details. Cleans up as well after daily work. 5. Summary: I've received a great customer experience from the start to the completion of my patio! It's always a challenge to find a great construction crew. They were easy to get ahold of when I had additional questions. Frank and Mike, who did the install, are an excellent team who communicated well and did a fantastic job.
