Butler Fence

I looked at many companies for my 600' fence project. Butler was the only one to personally come to my property for their quote. Price was fair and their crews were outstanding. Owner of company even spoke to me and guaranteed project would be done on time. Quality of work was excellent! Highly recommend their work. A true family business that cares about their customers.

If I could give this awful company 1/2 star my fence posts are loose as can be in the ground. They can't repair for 3 weeks out. I was ignored by the owner on numerous accounts when my fence was bowing in. Please do not Use this fence company for anything! I have 6 posts that are rocking back and forth. I have numerous panels that are bowing and curving the fence isn't even 3 weeks old!

Critical: Responsiveness Called and spoke with individuals for estimates 4 times, missed the first meeting time never returned 3 follow up calls. Not helpful, waste of time and effort.

Three different fences installed. Always happy. Tom did a great job on the last one. Always happy.

Great experience! We got alot of different fence company estimates for damage done by a large tree coming down on our fence. Happy we chose to go with Butler. From our first meeting with Rick until the fence was installed, all crew were friendly and professional. Looks like a brand new fence again with no shortcuts taken. Thank you Butler Fence.

Butler installed my cedar fence nearly two years ago. Recently one gate post, on a slope, had settled, resulting in real difficulty in working the latch. I mailed Irma and Rick Austin, describing the problem and including a photo. Three days after sending the letter, two Butler guys appeared and skillfully fixed the gate. Thanks to all for the great service!

Rushed estimate, first he was 20 minutes early and was rude when I got home. It's not like he was 5 minutes early. The salesman did not explain anything except overall length which was 4ft difference than the prior estimate. He only gave me an option on style really did not want to talk about other options other than their most popular style (Lakeland) which was my first choice anyways but it would have been nice to be given an option as well as select my own post toppers.

He did not tell me if they used lumbar, or PVC posts. Did not explain if the gate was reinforced with aluminum or galvanized steel. I was not given options on the thickness of the PVC so I am assuming that they only offer one option. My estimate lasted less than 10 minutes and that included him writing everything up. Where another company sat and explained EVERYTHING showed us sections of the product, explained how it would be installed etc. The Butler salesman explained nothing and told me to call the office with questions. Even though the other company was more $ that is our choice out of pure professionalism.

What a great family owned business. Passionate people who clearly love their line of work. Pleasure dealing with them. The entire installation process was flawless. Never seen a more beautiful fence in my life. Why not say the butler did it?

We hired Butler Fence to install a simple driveway gate at our home. Harold or Hal took the deposit and it's been about 5 weeks and we've been able to speak to any human at either of their locations. The phone numbers seem to both ring to nowhere nor have our calls been returned. I highly advise you to shop elsewhere.

We had a representative provide an estimate that was absolutely overpriced and ridiculous. We were told that a section of stockade fencing was $115 when you can pick up the exact same fencing at Home Depot for 39.97! Butler Fence Co is a joke! Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere if you want a fair price.

I hired Butler to install a simple chain link fence. I was told they would install the fence 2-3 weeks after receiving my deposit. Weeks went by without hearing a word from them. I called several times and each time they could not provide an update of when the fence would be installed. I had the impression that as a residential customer with a relatively small project, my business was not important to them because they had larger projects and clients. Eventually, the install happened 10 weeks after paying my deposit.

The actual installation was ok, although there were some spots where some concrete hardened on my grass from when they set the posts. Lastly, I received an invoice for final payment from Butler and mailed out my payment 2 days after receiving the invoice. I was surprised and a little angry when two days later I received a letter from Butler saying that the invoice was past due and to please send in payment right away.

What type of company harasses their customer for payment less than 1 week after sending out the invoice for payment, especially considering that they installed the fence almost 2 months behind schedule! I'll never use Butler again. Residential customers and people with a time sensitive installation should look elsewhere.

I called Butler to receive and estimate for material vs the install. The difference was only $300! how does a company run with a $300 labor charge. Obviously they make their money on material and rather than deal with my relativly modest sized residential yard they gave me a bs quote to "shooo" me away. Not only that but they are hard to get a hold of and don't return calls or emails.
