I spent 2 hours at this store yesterday picking out tile for 5 rooms. There were 4 people working there, two scrolling through their phones. There was virtually no help lifting and carrying heavy boards to the "design center". When I called today to take about 4 of the sample boards home and return them Monday morning so as to match them with samples of countertops I got from Home Depot, my request was refused.
I was told it's company policy. I found this odd since the place is closed on Sunday anyway. The passive/aggressive manager who was so unhelpful the former afternoon made this decision. The store is almost always empty so I'm not sure why she was ok with losing her company probably over $10,000 I'm going tomorrow to Floor and Decor.

Great prices! This was my last stop and I wound up buying from them because I knew exactly what I wanted and the price was right. However, there is no customer service at all, no one offered to help me, employees were downright rude to me when I came to pick up my tile. Huge place two people working there one guy was outside smoking. They could care less. If you know what you want and you don't need assistance then go because the price is great.

Came to spend $20,000 on tile. Spent 1 hour walking up and down the isles. No one talked to me until i was asked to leave because the were closing. Some on the store will get my 2,000 sq/ft tile job. When I pointed this out they didn't even ask to take my name and number. I guess they just don't care.

They have a good selection of tile and it is expensive but it's worth it. It is a good store to shop at when you're doing a project. Just be careful! The problem is that if you go in and you are purchasing for a contractor to do the work, they will give you too much of all the extra items like grout. I'm talking more than 175% extra over what's needed.
We have full bottles and boxes of supplies that weren't touched and the open ones are only a quarter used. They wouldn't take them back because it "expires, " and quite frankly they were rude and obnoxious. If we were past the window, that's fine - but you don't have to be a jerk about it. They are nice when they are trying to make a sale!
Either purchase it *immediately* before your contractor starts and make sure they finish in a timely manner, or ask the contractor exactly how much of those materials you need. We went under the assumption that they would know how much is needed for what we were buying. We didn't think that there would be deceptive practices going on. It is possible that it was the salesperson looking for a little extra, I don't know. Now we know!

IMO, the manager of a store sets the standards of that store-no worries here because Joey, the manager of this store, is top-notch! All of his employees are very attentive and helpful, but Joey truly stands out! I desperately needed help not only because I'm not good with colors but also due to physical limitations. In both areas, Joey came through, time and time again!
Not only did he suggest combinations of tiles for the walls, floor, niche, border and baseboard, but he brought those samples to me since I was not able to walk at the time. When I get a chance, I'll send in pics.just gorgeous. BIG thanks!

Yeah sure. Some of tiles are similar or maybe the same as those at lowes and Home Depot and cost a lot more BUT they also have a very large selection of tiles that are quite unique. So this is a great place for a smart shopper. Also, I've never seen Ted baker tiles before anywhere else! They have them. Staff is very friendly and returns are easy (can't say that about many other tile stores).

This place is terrible! I ordered 18 linear feet of border tile in Richmond to be shipped to the store here at Bull Run. The only had half of my order, three weeks later! They made excuses about a mixup in their inventory system. Next, they offered me additional pieces that didn't match and the pieces that they did have were filthy. When they unwrapped the pieces from Richmond, which were unlabeled and over-wrapped in plastic, several pieces were broken.
When I requested a refund for this hot mess, I was told that it would have to be processed in Richmond because they were having issues with their credit card reader. It was laughable how many broken items and systems I encountered in one visit. I will not be coming back here again. it is an overpriced circus. For the prices being charged, I expect expect better service and better products!

What a horrible place! It has beautiful tiles but a staff who seems completely disinterested in making a sale. The 3 women who were sitting down when I came in (lone customer - now I can see why) seemed really bothered at having to make the effort to help me. I needed help replacing tiles by a particular manufacturer and taking even one minute to figure out what I was talking about would have allowed them to recognize the manufacturer. Very, very disappointing. I will not be back

Great selection of tiles at all price points. The display areas are great for ideas and to get a feel for what a finished room can look like. Employees were very helpful and encouraging and took their time to answer all my questions and provide instructions. The return policy is fair and they provide plenty of warnings and reasons why some product can't be returned. Best place I've been for tile!

I was walking around The Tile Store for 45 minutes. Not one sales person asked me if they could help me. I am remodeling a bathroom and had some design questions on the tile I choice. Finally I was able to ask a question, to the store manger, so she claimed. When she was working with me, for about 2 minutes she just walked away, because someone else came up to her.
I waited patiently for a good 5 minutes and it was apparent to me, she did not want to help me. At that point I walked out of the store drove less then an mile to Standard Tile, where I was acknowledge and was told someone would be with me in few minutes. Standard Tile had more clients in the showroom but their customer service was 1000% better, where I made the purchase. I would recommend Standard Tile.

My sister and I visited this store MANY times in the past few months to pick out tiles for two of her bathrooms and thought to acknowledge our AMAZING sales rep, Tammy, who is now part of our 'pisan' family. She made the difficult decision of home remodeling. SO MUCH FUN and easy. Overall, the store staff were just as great but huge kudos to her. We will miss her more than her us! ha

Great team, great shop and great experience. The Tile Shop was very professional and supportive throughout the whole process during our bathroom renovation. Jasmine was our sales consultant and we found her very helpful and always responsive to all our needs. I have no qualms recommending them and will use for my next project.

We had a great experience with The Tile Shop in Livingston. From the moment we walked in the door Jasmine was a great help. She recommended that we walk the outside of the shop to see the bathroom displays. She was quite observant in what caught our eye. Once we decided what we liked she helped us to make our selections and we did not feel rushed in making our decisions.
Once we made our choice she helped us with the proper materials for installation. Jasmine was even willing to speak with our contractor when he had questions. Overall a great experience!

Very helpful staff until it came time to purchase the tile. They had a 20% off special. Great. The problem was I had to accept delivery by April 30th. No problem on my side, the problem was they could not have the tile until May 6th. Here comes the best part, they could have it by the 30th but I had to use the financing. Interesting concept to say the least.
I said OK no problem I will take the financing. Here comes the kicker, if I take the financing and get it by the 30th I don't get the 20% off. Total bait and switch tactic. I walked out.

I just had a fabulous experience at the tile shop in Livingston New Jersey. The store was full of beautiful displays and a tremendous assortment of products neatly displayed. The best part of the experience was working with jasmine jones the senior design associate. Jasmine is very knowledgable and so pleasant. She recommended the tile that we ended up purchasing. We are thrilled! I will be back there for all tile/floor needs.

As a residential real estate developer, I have been buying tons of tile from the Tile Shop in Livingston. These folks, from the general front staff to the store Manager, Quinn, have provided me with nothing but stellar customer service. When I need tile rushed they do their best to get it to me quickly. When I need to spend a lot of time making tile selections there, they patiently stay with me for hours, writing down names and SKU number as I can keep track of it all. It's always a good time when I stop in. These folks get an A+.

I purchased approx 4000$ worth of slate tile that I chose from a demo bathroom. The delivery showed up with about 1/3 broken tiles and as a whole the tiles we're a crappy quality level. Many had no color at all and some actually said the word no on them with a wax pencil as if they sent me the rejects from prior attempts to get rid of there garbage stock.
They ended up finally sending me tiles that looked a bit more like the demo had so I went ahead and had the contractor do a walk In shower that came out nicely. It came time to put a sealer on the stone so I went back and spoke to the same salesperson who walked me to the tile sprayed it with water and said this is the effect this sealer will give the tile.
I took his word for it and sealed the tile. The sealer dried and basically aged and blackened the slate muted all the colors and basically killed the Beauty of the stone. They then told me that's what is supposed to do. I now have an extremely well done bathroom that look dark and dingy do to this places lack of knowledge of what they are selling to people. I will be posting images of what this sealer did to the tile on the better Buisness website to hopefully help someone else avoid dealing with this particular company.

Ugh. So just a week after my initial review of the Tile Shop, I have to amend it. I was told, "Hey, your tile will be ready Friday, " and I thought to myself, 'that's perfect. I can pick up my tile on Saturday and attend the DIY class in the morning and kill two birds with one stone.' Unfortunately, my tile was NOT ready and I was told, "Hey your tile will be ready next Friday." I attended the class anyway because we are renovating our kitchen right now (which is why we need the tile) and I knew I wouldn't have much time in the upcoming weekends.
The DIY demonstration was actually pretty helpful and my sister and I were the only ones there so we got to try it ourselves and ask a lot of questions. The following Monday, I received a call saying, "Hey, your tile is ready." So I went in on Tuesday to pick it up. I get to the store and the staff takes 15 minutes trying to figure out where my order is and if it's even ready.
Once they bring it out, they tell me that I'm short a few tiles. I asked why that happened and why they would call me to say my order is ready when it isn't. The staff apologized and said that the rest of the order would be ready by Thursday, the latest and I would get a call to confirm. Well, it's Friday now and still no tile. I'm not under a crazy time crunch to hurry up and get these tiles in but I'm still frustrated by how much of my time and petrol they've wasted from me having to go back and forth to the store multiple times. Honestly, I'm sure most people are in and out of here quickly with no trouble and I'm sure this situation I'm in is a rarely occurring one.
But I have to vent my anger and warn anyone else who could end up in this situation - when someone calls you to say your tile is ready, make sure it's really ready before you drag your butt out there. The reason I'm still giving this place 2 stars is because the girl that helped me out when I went to pick up my unfinished order was really nice and the DIY class was useful.
