The only thing about this place i liked was the price. I walked in and was treated like I was interuping the two guys at the counter telling each other storys, then I bought some 4x4s for just over 14 dollars a piece and thought to myself, wow thats pretty cheap, then went outside and waited almost a half hour for someone to take my ticket and direct me.

I then follow a guy to the bundle of 4x4s and they looked like they where rained on and cooked off in the sun over and over for a year ( no wonder they where so cheap). This place is a nasty unorganized mess at best.

Love working with this company. Its refreshing knowing you're working with honest people that love what they do and the service is excellent!

I am a contractor and depend on these guys often. They continue to take care of me and my orders on a daily basis. They do tons of volume and still work hard to keep up with all these people wanting things yesterday. They are always trying to keep high volume items in stock so we can continue to work and limit stock shortages. If materials are getting scarce they always give a fair warning so I can pass that on to my customer. Thanks guys.

Truck Driver almost Mauled me on 45 tried to report driver they kept me on hold forever. Trust if they keep allowing bad driving with no penalty, they will surely pay for someone's life.

In this time of crisis. I am very thankful that my brother n I dealt with a guy name lucky. He got us what he had available for our pipes after this crazy freeze Texas had. 2021

I have used McCauley's for over 10 years and never had any issue. Service has been too notch and take offs have been great. Delivery's have always been ok time. John and Stephen are very hard workers. We couldn't do our work without them.

Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Outside crew loaded my lumber quickly. When I walked in, I had to ask to figure out how the process worked, instead of someone greeting me and guiding me. Other than that it was a good experience.

All Good till time for delivery 41/2 late and had contractors sitting and waiting. When I called to find out were they were the person on the phone didn't sound like he even cared. Just call on Monday was his answer. Might have to look around next time.

Fast friendly service, loading was a little slower, but on a Friday in north east Houston was to be expected, order was accurate and banded, I'd come here again, good prices on building materials.

Horrible service. I went to buy a lot materials for a flood house that I'm rehabbing and the guys in the front completely ignored me and talked over me, while having a personal conversation. I don't not recommend this place. There are too many building suppliers in Houston to spend my money here.

I've been here several times and always have had poor customer service received. I'll be looking for certain products and non of the guys will offer to help. I also don't think they like females coming into the store. Not once but twice, I have come into the store and was ignored for male customers standing right next to me. I originally thought maybe it was a bad day I came in and it would probably get better. This place is horrible. The prices are also considerably higher so I just couldn't find anything positive about this place.

My company- Native Texas Landscape Design & Construction builds cabanas and patio covers. We get most of all of our building materials here. They have to be the best folks ever to do business with. While I'm certainly nowhere close to being amongst their larger clients, they certainly treat me as such. I would go so far as saying they have better service than any of my vendors. They have always gone above and beyond in providing me with world class service with competitive pricing as well.

Went here today to purchase just over $1,000 in cedar to use as baseboards in my home since we flooded during Hurricane Harvey. I walked in and received fairly prompt service by a nice young man. Went to the back for the lumber, where I followed a guy on a forklift to the pile of cedar. He went into a building and came out with some of my order. I looked at the boards he had and discovered they were damaged.

He took me inside to see what was available, but none of them were in good shape. We agreed I would need to get a refund for these. Next we went outside to get the next batch, but again these were in bad shape, but I was able to find some that would work. As I was picking out non-damaged pieces a man named John came up to me and said "I cannot let you pick out your boards." I explained what they were for and he repeated what he had already said.

This resulted in me going inside to get a refund and the guy that helped me did not understand why John said this. If you want quality lumber & good customer service, go somewhere else.

Went to two different lumber yards looking for a 4x4 untreated post. At all the yards they were too long to fit in my car and the staff claimed they couldn't cut it to fit. Called McCauleys who said they could cut it down to whatever size I needed. Excellent customer service here.

DONT GO DURING THEIR LUNCH HOUR! I have never been treated like such an inconvenience while trying to spend money at a business. I use to recommend this place I WONT NOW! If you like to be treated like you are bothering EVERY EMPLOYEE, including the OWNER, go during their lunch break. I like to support home town businesses, but this one is removed from my list.

You never know who is walking in your door, my hotels will NO LONGER use this business either. What happened to small business customer service? I guess it isn't important here and they already make enough money. I will spend my elsewhere!
