Orlando and his team did a great job on our two story home. I had lots of windows but they burned the midnight oil to complete the job in one day. They did have to reschedule me due to a employee being sick but we are very satisfied with the product and quality of install. Thank you Orlando!

Called at the recommendation of 3M to have them perform warranty work. "Sammy" came out and measured, but I never heard back. I called them a week after they said they would call me, and they said they would look into it, as 3M had not sent them the warranty info (that I provided to 3M and Solar X three weeks earlier). Still never heard back, so called 3M to get another provider.

Called Solar X to come out and give an estimate for sun control window film on a Monday in March 2020 for the front and back of my home. James was my salesperson. I had received a business care with James's cell phone number from a neighbor that had solar film installed a few months before and was very pleased. James came the following day and explained all details about the film, how long it would take to install, and what my expectations should be after installation, i.e., bubbles to disappear, room temperature changes, and also the warranty.

I was very impressed with James. He wasn't pushy, fast talking, or turning info at me quickly. He explained the best option for the money. We scheduled for Friday. They confirmed times with me Thursday and to my surprise they showed up 15 min early and all 10 windows and a glass door were completed in 1.5 hours. The installers re-explained all details of the film again to me and gave me some great tips to clean the windows.

When I entered our bedroom later in the day I was shocked at how much cooler it was. Normally between 2pm-5pm the master bedroom is very warm even with fan running. Additionally I still have bright light coming into all my rooms and during the day all my blinds are now open and the coolness remains. Its August 2020 and my last bill in March for electric was $168.00, blinds closed all the time, and AC running between 74-76 degrees.

Since the installation the highest bill I have received is $98.97 and I am using nothing but natural light from my windows until the evening. Very impressed with the product and Solar X.

There were some issues, but the issues were resolved. The owner came out and reviewed the work and reconciled the probl m areas.

Solar X provided me with great service. They were super easy to work with and very well priced. The quality of the product was incredible and much better than I expected. I used them on my office building first and am planning on having them do my residence. Having used other companies in the past I would recommend them above all others in Houston.

I found them quite disorganized. Called for a quote but didn't hear back. Called a second time and an appointment was made. They were supposed to confirm but didn't. I tried to confirm but no response. I called the morning of the appointment and they didn't have it recorded, but told me someone would call me back. Then the guy showed up at my house asking where I was.

I explained the problem and said I wasn't impressed with the customer service. His was response was that he showed up. I can say their 3M competitor in town is much easier to deal with, professional, and they show up.

I'm very disappointed in there customer service. I requested samples 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting. They were recommended by our property management but I'll make sure to let them know they were not worth the recommendation. Promises made but can't deliver!

SolarX did an amazing job on my house. They came and gave me a free professional estimate with many options for what would best suit my needs. They left me samples to determine what products would work best on which windows. Clayton did a very professional install of the 3M products on my home. He was very knowledgeable on the product, and had many years experience with 3M products. I would highly recommend this company. It's family owned and operated and you really get the personal attention to detail that you would hope for.

So happy with their effort, we have used them twice! Our first home needed some efficiency on the kitchen windows. On our second home, we wanted the same type of cost saving on our electricity and it was even more warranted as the 2-story vaulted windows in the living room were exposed to the afternoon sun. We used Abid both times and he even came on a weekend just after closing.

What really justified this evaluation was his recommendation on security film. We didn't even know that solution existed! Once my wife saw the baseball bat video, it was clear that we could benefit from it. So thanks, Solar X. And give Abid a raise!

Potential customers beware! sales rep rick tends to overestmate the yardage needed by alot! cranky and untidy never again!

We were doing some work in a high rise penthouse apartment. The building was built in the early 70's and the window glass was very think and heat just radiated in from direct eastern exposure. The window glass would heat up so quickly it was very hot to the touch. This then transferred the heat to the interior of the home. I knew about and had heard about how Solar X was the leader in Houston in Window Film Treatments.

I went to their awesome website. Viewed several videos that quickly educated me to the 3M product and how Solar X functioned as a company. A quick phone call and Solar X showed up and now my client is very happy with the results. Thank you for making our job easier.

I have wanted to get windows my home windows treated with 3m film for a while. I researched, reviewed, and talked to people before I did so. Ultimately I made the decision to do so based on Texas heat, hurricane potential, fading caused by UV rays, and the potential protection from crime. I emailed Solar X and received a call back within the day. Set the appointment and met with their representative for a quote.

He answered all my questions honestly and asked me what I wanted/needed from the film. He didn't try to upsell or add anything. He gave me a quote for what I asked for and I felt it was reasonable for the product and service. Realistically I could have ordered the film and screwed it up trying to cut corners. I scheduled the job that day. About two hours later I saw something I wanted to change.

I did so without issue. The appointment was confirmed, the installation tech called and told me he was on the way. He arrived on time. He was very friendly and professional. He explained everything before getting started and then worked straight through till the job was done. I know it's mid October, but you could immediately tell a difference in the heat near the front of the house.

I was worried it might be a placebo because I'm paying and I want it to work. I put a thermometer in the room and watched the temp drop 5 degrees. The job looks great, everything was cleaned up and I'm glad I decided to do it. The folks at Solar X did a professional job. I'd use them again or recommend them highly.
