Borter Glass is the most reliable place I have had the pleasure to be in cooperation with. I have been able to handle hundreds of projects for over 2 decades with the partnership of Borter. Customer service and quality is unparalleled everytime!

Don't waste your time at this place. Emailed multiple times and traced it out just like they asked and drove all the way out here for them to tell me they can't do it. Why not tell me that before when I showed the exact piece I needed and talked it through. Useless place find somewhere else to go. Don't even care much that they wasted my time.

After buying our glass here since 2012, we are done. We own a design and construction firm, and used to buy every project mirror from Borter, and would also refer clients here for their own projects. But after the most nauseatingly rude and pedantic interaction with "Mrs. Borter", we will never buy from here again. I'm not sure if it's because I mentioned my wife, or if she's just this rude to everyone, but what should have been a routine conversation about a bathroom mirror went south quickly. I'm disgusted by their lack of respect and customer service, and will support any glass company that is not them.

VERY good company! 4.5 STARS rounded up. Referring to Yelp & Google, I contacted the three highest-rated glass companies servicing the greater Tampa area, which includes Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, & Hernando Counties. I selected Borter glass not only for its high rating on Google & Yelp, but due to its 44 years in business. It currently is owned by three family siblings, has just under 10 employees, & it has operated as a family-owned small company since 1976. WoW! Borter specializes in tub & shower enclosures-- frameless glass, frameless glass doors, rolling doors, as well as glass balconies & custom tabletops. & even glass stairs!

This was the third to last of my remodeling projects, & I wanted a beautiful frameless glass enclosure. With all three frameless shower enclosure quotes similar in prospective price, I chose Borter because receptionist Carol was the most friendly & efficient. When she said she'd get info to me, she did so quickly -- & thoroughly. The other two companies' staffers paled in comparison. Weeks later, younger brother "Mr. B" (Craig) arrived to measure the area around my late arrival (shower base); I was surprised at the amount of care, precision, & time he took. (It was impressive.) The following day, I phoned Carol to hear the finalized quote & place a 50% deposit.

Three weeks later the frameless glass shower enclosure & chrome ladder handle (which came w/ an added fee) were installed. I love the frameless glass-- totally satisfied! And I am thrilled that these people had the integrity to charge me LESS than the quote they had originally supplied. Good old time service & honesty! Why 4.5 stars & not 5 for this professional company?

The hours are standard-- Monday thru Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM. For those of us working regular weekday hours, the available times to measure & install are not convenient. Offering a weekly late night & a Saturday would be appreciated so lost time from employment could be avoided. However, after much diaglogue, Mr. B tweaked his calendar so my enclosure could be installed on a Saturday morning-- Thank You. With that said, if my schedule allows, I will happily use this family-owned company for any & all future glass needs.

MOST amazing service and great pricing. I had been planning a major remodel of our condo and needed contractors & furniture deliveries to occur in one day, this past Friday 2/28/20. Called them to have two store front glass windows replaced and they had someone come out the same day to take measurements. Tina called me within a few hours with an extremely fair quote that included installation. Withing a week the glass was installed and we were rocking and rolling. I highly recommend them!

Support this local business! I had a great experience from start to finish. My job was for three pieces of glass for tabletop protection. I got quotes over the phone for both tempered and non-tempered glass. I was pleasantly surprised by the quote (very reasonable compared to another shop I had called). The work was completed within the expected timeline. The cuts were perfect.

I would select zero stars if it were possible. It took several weeks to schedule the appointment but I wanted to go with a local vendor instead of a national chain. The chain vendor was easy to schedule and showed up on time. My experience with Borter Glass was quite the opposite. I had an appointment with Mr. B scheduled for 9am at a apartment I own, I showed up at 850 and waited out front until 910.

Finally got a call at 925 asking where I was, I explained that I waited until 910 at which time he said he was there for 15 minutes and I wasn't there at all. (he called me a liar without saying it). He never once apologized and claimed he was on time. The conversation degraded rapidly with Mr. B finally asking me to drive back over to the house, I said I was too busy and I was there on time, he said "so you don't have time for me" and hung up. This is the type of respect and service you will get from the owner, don't use them.

This place is great, we have an older home and have no trouble at all getting the glass pieces needed and the framing to install. The prices are very fair, the people are friendly and the service is always fast. We have been coming here for over 10 years and have always been happy customers.

Terrible experience w/ @Borter_Glass_Co come out to install frameless glass. 3 calls&call bck a week later to get the invoice sent. Another week to call to give them a 50% deposit.call bck 1week later to follow up. &received FRAMES!Now they want to$400+frameless.

We ended up at Borter Glass after several phone calls looking for a place that would cut an old piece of wavy glass for an old wood window frame. They were very polite on the phone in person. When we arrived the employee behind the desk was on the phone but acknowledged that we were waiting and assisted us right after the phone call was finished. They cut our glass while we were waiting and sanded the edges.

Our whole visit took under 10 minutes. Although we weren't there is use the store, we looked around and they have a nice selection of glass for all sorts of projects (including bathroom showers) and what seemed like some completed projects ready to be put back into window frames. I highly recommend this store for glass need.

I hired this company years ago and was charged $5000 in which I was very happy with their job. Now I am looking at doing the same exact job and received a fax (Hey guys, fax has been long gone, try email) for more than $8,000. I called over their and the receptionist was very nice. She transferred me over to Mr. Borter and he answers the phone with his name. (How about hello this is your name how can I help you?) I explained to him that I had the same job and he just rants and raves about how glass has tripled and aluminum has tripled, etc. He said the price is the price so I just hung up and said I will try elsewhere.

The guys at Borter Glass are accurate and very efficient. Don and Marty were concise, friendly and very helpful. My order was ready in less than 24 hours. I'm very pleased and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for custom glass work.

Great place to get glass. Great customer service and they can do usually same day if needed. I have been going here for years they are the best.
