I check this place out once every other week or so, so I like it, but. Sometimes the prices are out of line. Example black plastic pot for plants were $1, you can get them new for $.25 They sometimes don't except good items, so I stopped donating stuff cause I end up taking stuff back home and throwing it away. I feel like if you accept donations you should also deal with a bit more good stuff that maybe isn't exactly what you want. Good plumbing and flooring section But your paint brushes here. Same name brand brushes as home depot, half or less price.

I like the reuse of materials. You can find almost anything 4 the home. They have purdy 2nds, brand new sheets sets. furniture for your place. The profits go to building more homes 4 families. Different locations have different furniture. friendly staff that will help you out. My only real complaint would be the handicap ramp is kind of hard to get up ro the doors. Support Habitat for Humanity when you are able to.

While this store is packed with a variety of things to repair your home, I found the prices on some of the basics to be very high which limits who can really use the restore. They did have an amazing selection of windows and doors, you could easily furnish your house there with the variety of household furnishings they offer, just pay attention to sale tags because the discount helps!
Really check those cans you buy, you may find that $2.00 worth. Of paint is mostly unusable when you can go to home Depot and buy your own new full paint samples of fresh paint for less than $5. Look around and dig deep, there are hidden treasures to be had!

They often get new DONATIONS from a variety of retailers. Typically the donated merchandise is outdated, not moving quick enough, substandard quality, unique items that weren't selling etc. They get everything from bed sheets made from inferior materials to flooring that is brittle and scratches easily. The ReStore doesn't consider the majority of their shoppers aren't interested in this stuff at the near (or above) retail prices they are asking. Due to this, some merchandise sits for months or years on the shelves making return visits seem like a waste of time.

Great place to find cool items for the home, or to use for building, crafting. I could go on! Very nicely organized, brightly lit store that has so many cool different things that can be given a new life. If you like a big piece, you're encouraged to get it yourself and bring it up to the cashier. Most times they can't help you- so keep that in mind if you're by yourself! I learned that the hard way! No regrets though, and I'll definitely be back.

I like the one on 181st and Glisan. Much more of a variety of items available. This one has a lot of home furniture and remodel stuff. Like flooring and things like that. Only a super small section for miscellaneous knick knacks and home decor. I didn't see any clothing either or shoes. Everything looked pretty much to be in very good or better condition though. I would definitely return if I end up needed anything they have for sale. Maybe in the future Portland Restore. Thank you anyway!

Oh I'll tell you, for someone with a creative side this place is heaven especially if you are on the bottle deposit refund budget. Awesome people and an array of items you have to see for yourself because to much to describe, good prices with color of the day discounts besides. Add in the fact that it's managed by a lady that I think just might fit the unicorn category or choose to it on the hot\ crazy chart, incredible personality, and so dang easy on the eyes your liable to walk slap into a display watching. And she isn't one to manage from a desk she's right in the wrasseling stuff around

One of their staff, Gwen, is one unhappy individual. It was pretty obvious she does not enjoy interacting with people. She was nothing but rude to me when I was there to drop off my donation on 11/6/21. An anti-social person like her should NOT be interacting with donors or customers as she would completely destroy the public image/reputation of the Portland Restore. Or maybe everyone is like Gwen at this organization. Who knows.

The staff was incredibly rude. My boyfriend and I were there to pick up a sink cabinet combo that my mother had bought and they were completely inconvenienced by us being there to pick a paid for item. When we asked for help lifting it into the truck they said "there is 2 of you, figure it out, it's not our job." I am disabled and have to use mobility aids to get around and there were other staff helping other people load furniture so it didn't seem like it was too far fetched to ask for assistance.
After a great deal of struggle and almost having my feeding tube ripped out while trying to help with this heavy piece of furniture my boyfriend started to secure it. The employee who refused to help came running over to yell at us that we had to drive the unsecured load across the parking lot and secure it over there, she said we were selfish jerks and we needed to get out of the loading area.
They had no problem putting people in danger, refusing to help disabled customers (in the end causing even more pain and suffering) and were just flat out rude. I thought this place was a part of an organization that was proud to do good in the world and help people not treat them like trash and hurt them.
